Great trick. Wondering what's the point of adding the solid layer on top. I suspect it's only for the blurr/curves FX, am I correct? Also, at that point can you delete the Paint FX from the footage layer? Thanks!

If what your saying is true about not being motion tracked, did you do this frame by frame? I was only curious that's all, when I first seen it I automatically thought of it being motion tracked.
