when i saw him (asheville civic center '09) i ended up sitting beside one of the obnoxious ass guys who scream every damn word of every song he played. until about the fourth or fifth song when i told him to shut the fuck up or i'd kill him. please dont make me angry mr mcgee. please let people enjoy his shows and his voice while he's still around.

I got turned on to John Prine in 1971 with his first album. I had every word memorized within days. For younger folks, they used to be longplaying round records!

@michaelt2u They were round LP's alright ,,, never seemed to last long enough...same now when I get them out with a bottle of JD and tell everyone it's time for Joey to Glow... and time for them to go... I don't much like to share my tears, even after all these years.
