Yeah when franchises start operating across the street from each other it's getting ridiculous. In my country though we only have a single Starbucks (at Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam) so it's not a great concern here. I'll be in New York in about two weeks though so I'll know what the Starbucks culture is like I guess.
Whole Foods can kiss my ass...did you see what they did to the poor bastard in NYC who was going to eat a sandwich about to be thrown away.....they fired him and stripped him of unemployment benefits....nice.
card check allows for a secret ballet so i dont get how any dem can be fooled by these conservatives claiming otherwise, and come on, a plan written by business is supposed to be better then a plan written by unions when it comes to whats best for unions?
Why does business care so much for these secret ballets anyway? You know it must be bad when notoriously anti-union companies are behind it.
But card check would EFFECTIVELY kill secret ballots wouldn't it?
I'm pro unions though. I think the union busting may be one of the reasons why America now has a clearly unsustainable service 'starbucks' based economy rather than a manufacturing based economy. The US economy has piled on debt in a credit driven consumerist binge because it has failed to add value.
I hear how great secret ballot is, how this bill is bad, but the only people I hear claiming secret ballot is pro-employee are the companies. Never any union whatsoever. I hear about how corrupt unions are, I suppose every one in existance is, but the problem is I cant help but be wary of what business supports
Do unions really have more hold over 100s of employees then a business that can fire them all and where theres not really any secret to the ballot as far as the business is cconcerned
LOL, Big Business always has the best interest for their Slaves,... I mean workers. Why can't they just be happy that they are allowed to have a job? Once they get used to being Slaves, ...I mean workers, they will be happy.

Starbuck's Costco & Whole Foods.
Ironic, those are all very popular with liberals.
However, I'm a liberal, & I hate Starbuck's their coffees are expensive as hell, the staff is fake-friendly and overbearing, and they are EVERYWHERE.
I don't have a Costco card and there isn't one near my house.
Whole Foods is expensive as hell. Fuck them.
Fuck all these companies.
