  • I've seen Liz Fraser's tits

  • i remember tripping to this beautiful music, wow thats all i can say.

  • I SO ROCK HARD

  • peanut butter, peanut butter.

  • new kind of psychedelia

  • that is......i have no words!!!

  • This music is why there will always be hope for Human beings!

  • The music from 1:32 to 2:26 is the most beautifully transparent music I know of. It enters the mind the way water flows into a brook. I swim in it.

  • I'm very possesive when it comes to my music taste, i preffer it to be more private. But in this case no one around me has heard of the Cocteau Twins, :D Texas is so close minded. But either way...trully hypnotic piece of work.

  • @valedan1075 I live in Texas. It is rare thet anyone has the slightest idea of who the Cocteau Twins are. Texas is inverted.

  • @trippletear this texan knows who they are and has been hypnotized by them for a long time!

  • @valedan1075 this Texan has loved Cocteau Twins for a very long time and I agree truly hypnotic piece of work...

  • @valedan1075 I live in Texas! Probably the only 14 year gilrl here who knows who the cocteau twins are.

  • @Chizzluvskeleton

:) be happy and very proud of it !!!!

  • @Chizzluvskeleton Good for you! Now only if you weren't so caught up with trying to be "musically conscious" in a fail attempt at trying to seem complex and intelligent, then you'd realized how much of pleb you are.

  • Perfeita! *-*

  • magic,narcotic song,,magic,narcotic song

  • john"s bird!!!

  • when the cocteaus opened pandora's box they exposed

all the ills of everyone else's music in the world.

  • Excellent music whilst loading the dishwasher after Sunday lunch, pissed. Just bliss.

  • on a trip!!

  • fuck me my dad said id like this wow fucking wow

  • Cequejesens got it right. Pandora('s box) anything can happen!

  • muza cocteau to coś w rodzaju snu o 6 nad ranem...

  • QUE TEMA MAS HERMOSO

  • pandora.... :)

  • Amazing. I had also a deja vu feeling the first time I heard this song! :) It must be some internal feeling inside of us that was reproduced by this song ...:)

  • cockteaulitiousness.. eh..?

  • What can be said about a masterpiece? All of the words in our vocabulary are inadequate for the beauty of this ... poetry ...

  • how can anyone dare to translate their lyrics, they haven't even published officially or printed in any of their discs...

  • @ifyouwantbochin um, look up glossialia. There are no actual lyrics. Having said that, she was clearly "dying in a rosary" on Garlands and thats just off the top of my head. OMGZ turns out shes using a mix of english and her own vocalisations. Dont be so precious dude. Its just music.

  • @xxtiaan The relevance of that is that they incorporate some dadaism and surrealism to their music, the fact of not having lyrics is a clear statement of that they pretend that each and everyone of us tries to give them our own personal meaning, even if some words are in english or any inteligible language, I know it's just music, in fact, if the person who translated this lyrics shows them as his/her own interpretation, good, otherwise is fixing something that's not broken.

  • @ifyouwantbochin they are neither dadaists nor surrealists, the dada movment along with the surrealists were primarily concerned with visuals, if you really want to link music with both youd have to say mabey bands like einsturzende neubaten for the dadaists and perhaps the copy/paste ethos of bands from the early 90's like coldcut for surrealisim. The point i was making was they do have some clear lyrics, and her use of glossolalia is a tradition that dates before christ.

  • @xxtiaan But also had literary exponents (Tzara, Apollinaire, Jarry... etc) even so, the Cocteau Twins do incorporate visual elements of surrealism in their videos, and you can hear exact words or clear lyrics as you say, the use of glossolalia is an explicint element they incorporate but, my point is they haven't published any official lyrics yet, even if you can identify some words or whatever. Our points are different, and can coexist I guess.

  • @ifyouwantbochin ok so how do your literary exponents actually relate to CTW? and i dont think you can say explicitly that CTW incorporate elements of surrealism in their videos any more than than anyone else since the video was invented, look at Bowies ashes to ahes, Ah Ha's take on me, Aphex twins Come to Daddy, I think these are all firmly ensconced within post-modernism and self reflexive rather than harking back to the 40's specificly.

  • @ifyouwantbochin Ive got a bunch of Cure albums that never got "official lyrics" either, and some of my Kate Bush, Swans too, Big Black, Sonic Youth, all my Aphex twin and ceephax Acid crew, venetian snares as well, what is "official" dude, like i said in my origional post, its all just music, stop being so precious

  • @xxtiaan WHATEVER

  • @ifyouwantbochin lol! the classic comeback of a man with nothing to say.

next time dude align CTW with the futurists, they were concerned with sound, if you are going to be an art wanker at least get your history right.

Im going to hear the lyrics everytime I listen to CTW, and not when there arent any.

meanwhile stop being such a precious fuck dude

  • @xxtiaan You couldn't be more right about everything

  • @ifyouwantbochin lol, sorry you had to read all that, I cant help trolling ppl who are being willfully ignorant when Im bored, heh.... :)

  • @xxtiaan that would be pointless for the cure anyway..they make em up as they go alonghalf the time. ive a live bootleg of primary (i think) in japan where smith is raving about ballons-and it has the line 'yellow is such a wonderful colour..(someting about/like) 'and i feel so wierd that i just cant..(not sure what he sez)' then into the 'further we go the more we know' bit in the chorus. otherwise you make a good point, watever it is.

  • @z1rakz1gal yeah Ive got that bootleg too on invasion of the body snatchers, goes on about "yellow, is such a happy colour, blue is waiting for your brother, oh yellow yellow yellow yellow so cold" etc. Bob did QUITE a bit of coke back in the day so that probably explains things, lol!

  • im not so religious but i agree whit that coment.. her voice is angelical.. is from other world ...

  • Not many bands arrive at the state of grace. This band...MY BAND ! Floated right in the front door the day they cut Treasure and and have stayed there ever since...G...

  • seen on mushrooms at the Tower Theater

    worth it.

  • @hearts4indiepublic lol bet that was immense !!

  • un brano che crea un'atmosfera unica

  • made for touch-less love making.......... now

  • @beatrixme you said it perfectly sweety

  • niesamowite wspomnienia :)

  • *** pandora....beautiful......

  • what a sacred song!!

however few in Japan know Cocteau Twins,

    how disappointing!!!

  • @mame0317mai So is the same thing here in Chinese society. It's really a huge pity that people don't know this!

  • the pandora album is dreamy .bella rattan

  • dreamy

  • never heard something like this in my entire life.. It's hypnotic, beatifull and very relaxing.. Pure art!

  • When i bought this cassette tape back in the 80's... as i drove home listening to it in my little Honda CRX, i couldn't help this feeling that I'd heard it before, yet knew damn well I'd never heard anything like it... in this lifetime anyway, before. I've never had such a deja vu feeling regarding something I'd heard for the first time. I spent most of the 80's and 90's being in some type of love with Liz, dreaming of finding a woman somewhat like her lol.

  • Peanut butter Peanut butter?

  • :))))

  • Love at first listen years ago, on the Stealing Beauty album. A friend introduced me to it when we drove up and down the Missippi River without a destination.

  • i loved!!

  • sublime melodies you don't hear from anyone else

  • sublime melodies you don't hear from anyone else

  • Only retards would be so shallow to associate sex with music all the time, really? Is there nothing else to associate it with than having sex, sure; a great thing it is, jumping to bed with a woman, but let's leave it as it is.

  • @leeho98 okay DAD! Geez!

  • =) This makes me happy.

  • OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I FOUND THIS 1 2! I THINK I'VE SAID THAT JUST ABOUT EVERYTIME I FIND A CT SONG, LOL. I JUST DON'T WRITE IT (YOU'RE PROBABLY SAYIN, "THANK GOD") :-p BUT SERIOUSLY, THE MEMORIES COME FLOODING BACK N2 MY BRAIN. I WAS 25 YEARS OLD, WORKING AT ROCK ISLAND, DOWNTOWN DENVER (THE 1ST WAITRESS THEY EVER HAD BTW). CLINGING 2 EVERY PRECIOUS SECOND OF THIS SONG, REMEMBERING THE SUMMER NIGHTS DRIVIN HOME AFTER WORK.. SMOKIN MY CLOVE. ENHALING THE SUMMER BREEZE & THE CT ALL THE WAY HOME..

  • beautiful im trying to imagine

  • realmente inacleditavel poder ver depois de 20 anos tudo sobre Cocteau Twins, fez parte da minha vida e ainda faz presente sempre musica da melhor qualidade com certeza . rogerio pires . Brasil

  • Here The Angels sing..

  • Ahhh, Cocteau Twins. A bit of a hit or miss band. A bit tiresome when they were off, but so so good when they were on. Tishbite and PEarly Dew Drops are my favourites. But the work done with This Mortal Coil is amazing too. Like their rendition of Song to the Siren. It's a cover of course, and Tim Buckley, in his original glory, was unparalleled.

  • this song helped me kick a viscous/ vicious dope habit in NYC- the whole "Treasure" album- which has to be one of the most incredible albums ever made (yes- they were "albums" then...because they were made of Albuminion, a tougher-than-diamond substance derived from semniotic fluid ;-P aaaahhhhhh yesssssss

  • Lol @ 1:20 "Fish.."

  • @splaticon5

    ? Fish?

    :P

  • @1964ANDRZEJ Well, technically dolphins aren't fish, but what the heck ;) Around 1:20-21 it sounds like she is singing "fiiiish..". And then there's a picture of something that could have been a fish, if it wasn't for the fact that it isn't .

    :P

  • @splaticon5 No tak :) Masz, na zdrowie. Miłego słuchania :) - KLINCZ-Latarnik (The Lighthouse Man) 1984 (HQ!!)

  • been a fan of the cocteau twin since 1990 got introduced to them when another student played their music at artschool. instantly lost my mind trying to find out who they where and buy their music. treasure, the moon and the melodies, the pink opaque, eggs and their shells, garlands, Brilliant timeless music. listening to the layers of subtle translucent tracks with frasers angelic voice is like stepping into a beautiful painting. these innovative musicians truly define the word "Artist"

  • @harbring I'm with you on that one! This was my introduction to the Cocteau Twins...

  • This song is one of the most relaxing, sensuous, hypnotic songs I have ever heard. A classic foreplay tune to put you and your lady in the mood.

  • @TheNanwat Indeed! Tasting a bit of hash could only enhance the given effect.

  • @TheNanwat - You have now officially ruined this song for me.

  • awesome - absolutely transcendent... thank you very much

  • I love Cocteau Twins forever

  • i'm dreaming

  • This is the first song I heard from them, Love it!

    She has amazing eyes

  • this doesnt really need lyrics it kinda takes away from the mysticism of the song

  • @telltalemse

    So true

  • So, there is an angel singing now....

  • For some reason Cocteau twins reminds me of walking through this weird tunnel they had as the entrance for the swimming pools from the dressing rooms when I was a child. Random though... just the smell of the bleach and the sound of water.. early nineties to.

  • The beautiful thing about this music, IMO, is if you took either Liz or Robin out of the equation it would not be the same. The reason for its greatness is their intertwined vocals and guitar. Check out his solo work, it is amazing with no lyrics. He is a true innovator. I can't believe I have been listening to them for almost 25 years.
