  • Bernie is the Best.

Obama is a Sell Out to Wall ST

    Occupy Now

  • HOORAY FOR WISCONSIN ! STOP GOP CORPORATE FASCISM !!!

  • Those statistics are from the Economic Policy Institute, "The State of Working America" (Ch.1, fig.11) 2006/7.

  • I think it's funny how the GOP are now trying to reject this bill after first endorsing it. They truly don't care about average people. They believe that government is there to serve the interest of big business and the big banks. Don't you see, the corporate elite have in the past, most notably the Roosevelt days, tried to take command of this country and screwed the lower classes. Thank god for trust busts and the new deal. Now they have done it again, only now I don't know if we can fix it...

  • the jobs r being shipped overseas, but the products r being shipped back 2 us to buy here, whats wrong with this picture? senator sanders made a good speech, but what has the left tried 2 do about this mess? Obama has always worked with the right, why would he stop now? I hope all the tax breaks end. we cant afford them 4 anyone right now. we need to do everything n our powere 2 dig ourselves out of this hole. i am willin 2 do my part. the right r tryin 2 keep this money from goin 2 the govt.

  • @cammie1960 The left has tried to get our heads above water. But how can they when the opposition party stated from the start they would vote no on everything and not compromise at all. How is that the lefts fault? Supply side economics = voodoo economics.

  • the right spend just as much as does the left. they give it to ins companies to help lower cost, does it? 2 banks 2 loan to students, but charge so much interest til its pitiful. they spend billions on makin outdated weapons. just think about it. its not goin 2 to "welfare" as the right likes to call it. its going to halliburton, to iraq, afghanistan, etc. if it was being spent here our economy would b n better shape.

  • Tax cuts are the equivalent of increasing spending. To achieve a tax cut you must borrow the money from foreign countries, and then pay interest on top of it. Who can not understand the paradox of a tax cut in a recession?

Who is addicted to spending more than they make on their credit cards? Who believes that the secret to wealth is achieved by transferring debts from one credit card to the next, until at last you have a chance to declare bankruptcy and screw all the little guys he owes?

  • P.S. the top 2 percent do not create good jobs in America, they create bad jobs in foriegn countries then ship the products to America and pay barely more than minimum wages to Americans to sell the products

  • You go Sanders!!!, I would gladly give up a middle class tax break and go without food to give a loud F!!!! U!!!! to the top 2 percent on their tax break. Why on gods earth would the congress reward these A holes for raping the economy and the tax payers by giving them a tax break on what they have stolen from the 98 percent of Americans. If this goes through and the President does not line item veto their tax break, we might as well have Daffy Duck for President, at least he is funny to watch

  • And he did! I watched the last 4 of the 8 hours.

  • I would much rather increase all our taxes than see the rich get an even better sweetheart deal. Let's face it. We are flat broke.

And by the way, this is not about me, I have lots of money.

  • @TheRodeoX I am 100% with you. We can not afford to give money to hypocrites who cry about the deficit, but then vote for tax cuts that drive the deficit up.

  • @TheRodeoX Amen hallelujah, I am prepared to take a financial hit in order to help pull our country out of this mess.

  • Do it Bernie. We don't need the money. You spend it. Washington Politicians have done so well with spending. Make sure everyone knows your party so you get full credit for it.

  • @412b3d You are not that far off in the humor. Even Ike warned us about the military industrial complex. I think government just likes having us always afraid of something.

  • You go Bernie. I support you 100%. Filibuster away, the Republicans have been doing it for over 2 years.

  • @rmonroe401 You make me laugh! You have to get over your intollerance of those who you think have more than you.

If you want to keep people from getting Jobs and reliant on the Goverment handouts you are thinking correctly.

250K a year doesnt make you a Billionaire. Higher taxes on small business will not create jobs.

You are thinking emotionally, not logically or rationally. If I got everything for free from the Evil rich like Bernie I would probably feel the same way.

  • @kitesitenet Hey bitch, I don't get everything for free from anyone. And I am not the intolerant one. I speak for hardworking people in this country, the ones who have been left behind from 8 years of Bush, their wages stagnant, while prices go up and up and up. All the while the rich have had it made, their income increasing ten fold over the past decade. How is it fair for average Americans to struggle and scrape while the rich squeeze more and more money, while cutting benefits.

  • @rmonroe401 Nice way to address people!. Is this Bernie Sanders I am speaking too? You think that people who "make" over 250K are billionairs?

How is it fair that those that earn the top 10% of income on this fair country pay almost 70% of the taxes while the bottom 50% of earners pay less than 3%?

You think very highly of yourself if you think you speak for the hard working of this country, I work very hard for very little as I am self employeed and you do not speak for me.

  • @kitesitenet They pay more money because the HAVE ALL THE MONEY. Is that so freaking had to understand. You have been duped by supply siders that you will be given a piece of the pie. They lied. You will not. They will screw you over faster than you can say "please give me a scrap of food for my family".

  • @rmonroe401 The largest Growth is in the Government, I am more concerned about that that I am a small percentage of the population.

I dont mind working hard for my piece of the pie, I just dont want the govenment to take just enough of it away to keep me from improving my families life.

They have everyone beliving that the Rich are the problem and focus your anger on them, while the Government is robbing you blind and taking away your liberties. It's the ultimate bait and switch.

  • @kitesitenet Taxes are at an all time low, so your argument does not hold water. Look it up with an open mind.

  • @rmonroe401 You might want to do some research on that.

    your statement is conpletely false.

  • @rmonroe401 And yes you are the intollerant one. Who is bitching about other poeple and saying what they should do and what should be taken from them. Look in the mirror!

You may be happy with the Deficit, but speaking for myself I am not.

What rich have increased their income 10 fold? Dont belive the B.S. from Bernie/

Stop the class warfare if you really want eveyone to succeed. Blame gets us no where.

This recession created by by parties has the country teetering on the edge.

  • @kitesitenet I don't have to believe Bernie, it is a fact. For the past 3 decades the rich have taken over this country and now control 25% of it's wealth. Once they achieve 50% we are all doomed and will be begging at their feet for a bone, a sliver, a scrap. But you go on believing all is well and you will be part of their club. YOU WON"T.

  • @rmonroe401) I belive its the government you need to watch out for, People are already begging and beholden to govenment entitlements with no way out. They are trading entitlements for power and the sheep are following. This number is growing out of control. Belive me I don't think all is well, but I don't think its because of a club of the rich i dont yearn to be a part of (don't put words in my mouth). eople who work hard to keep more of what they earn, If that includes the rich so be it

  • @kitesitenet I am thinking logically, based on facts, you are thinking with your greedy evil man on your shoulder. Listen to the other shoulder for once.

  • @rmonroe401 I'm not the one that wants to keep the poor, poor and reliant on the govement. I'm not rich, I dont have a tax payer funded pension, Im not in a union.

  • @kitesitenet What is wrong with unions? Are you against worker's rights? You must be management or an owner of a business. Probably living the high life while throwing bombs at the poor from your computer. Low life is more like it.

  • @rmonroe401 Unions drive up the cost of producing products and are one chief reason nothing is produced in this country anymore. Thier main reason for existing now is not to protect the workers, but to make a small number of people in power very wealthy. For this reason alone you should hate them.

Why can't you have a conversation without attacking people? What's wrong with an exchange of ideas that frightens you so much? Im not going to stoop to name calling.

  • @rmonroe401 And I do own my own small business. Hardly the high life, but I do make my own rules and I understand the consequences of my actions. So there is good and bad to it. I cannot afford employees for most of the year so i run the place myself and work 6 days a week minimum. Not complaining, I choose to try to make my own way and I knew it would require a lot of work.

You should give it a go, in fact i think everyone should. It would be an eye opener for those who take it seriously.

  • @kitesitenet You didn't answer my question about unions. What is wrong with worker protection? Also, you say 250K does not make you rich. You do realize people are taxed on their income after deductions. So someone making 250K wouldn't see a rise in their taxes. And also, why when the limit was raised to 1 million did Republicans vote that down? Why should millionaires get a tax cut when the rest of the middle class have seen their wages stagnant for decades? Talk about class warfare.

  • @rmonroe401 Yes I did answer your Union question. Unions were origionally formed to protect the workers. This is no longer the case, The unions have caused many jobs to be lost overseas. They make a very few very rich. Since its about protecting workers, why do the dems want Card Check which would eliminate the private ballot for these workers? As far as deductions go and how it relates to people making 250K.....What the Hell are you talking about? This adjusted gross rule is true for everyone.

  • @kitesitenet You blame GM problems on unions, that is ridiculous. The economy tanked, that is why GM has the problems they had. 8 years of Bush was enough to bring this country to it's knees begging for mercy. How is that so hard to understand. Here is a link that will explain it all to you. zfacts.com / p / 318.html

  • @rmonroe401 Just let them live in their little lala land. They are beyond delusional and any facts you throw at them will be instantly washed away in sea of denial. They think up some crazy shit in order to justify talking points that have been force fed to them by the media. If that doesn't work then they will quickly change the subject and try to "distract the audience" like a two bit magician.

An army of mindless zombies that fight to the death for people who could care less about them.

  • @VAFranky You mean CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, NPR, MSNBC, NY TIMES, BILL MAHER, MICHAEL MOORE, JON STEWART, etc etc etc.

  • @kitesitenet Yes, 99% of the news networks make up fake stories, facts, statistics etc. Fox News is the exception and they would never try to influence your thoughts and opinions. (Rolling eyes so hard they're popping out of my skull.)

  • @VAFranky I dissagree with the 99%. - But there is definatly a left wing bias to the majority of news sources.

Fox certainly leans to the right of center, but is the Most Trusted and Highest rated news program.

I personally do not watch much news on the television.

You cannot say that you dot see talking points repeated over and over again on most news.

  • @rmonroe401 Why do you think the Auto indutry failed??????? Did this protect the workers who are now screwed. The union bosses are still living large while the workers starve.

  • @rmonroe401 You must be super happy about the 1.1 TRILLION dollars of PORK the dems rolled out today to add to the bill at the 11th hour. So don't sweat the tax rates staying the same, the debt will still rise and you can blame the RICH for not paying for the Dems addiction to SPENDING.

You think this is fiscally prudent?

  • @kitesitenet @kitesitenet You are unbelievable. The Republicans CLAIM they are against pork barrel spending, but it has been all over the news this morning how much pork they have inserted into the same bill you claim Democrats have added pork to. You only see what you want to see. Here are some links. Republicans have added tons of pork to this bill after saying they want a ban on earmarks. Talk about hypocrites, and I am not just talking about Republican leaders.

  • @rmonroe401 So the Republicans got the Pork removed from the Bill.............

  • @kitesitenet That is really fascinating because they added some of their own to it initially.

  • @VAFranky Yes, By a small percentage. Fortuantly the majority got it squashed saving us from more waste and special favors (by both sides).

Not really facinating, this is politics. I personally I don't think adding pork to a bill that will pass in the 11th hour is robbery of the american people no mater who does it.

You have to be willing to look at the whole picture and back away from the hard line of Left v.s Right to see the whole picture and it ain't pretty.

  • @kitesitenet Fox does have the highest rated shows, but they tend to spice up their stories (better drama better ratings). I do watch a lot of news on every channel, and some of the stories are really blown out of proportion. All of the channels repeat talking points and phrases like the end is near. (MSNBC - Racist!!!! FOX News - Socialist!!!!)

  • @kitesitenet I do claim to have a fairly unbiased view of politics though and agree with what you said. I was JUST looking up all the campaign contributions taken by Republicans and Democrats from the mortgage companies just before they decided not to pass regulation on housing interest rates. This happened just a few years before the housing crisis led us into that fantastic recession. I try to give credit to politicians for hurting our country no matter which party they come from.

  • It's a way of injection money into the economy so he can be a second term president. Edan Aharony. It's just for 2 years once he's voted again he'll cancel it. Politics as usual

  • It's a way of injection money into the economy so he can be a second term president. Edan Aharony. It's just for 2 years once he's voted again he'll cancel it. Politics as usual

  • Wow...amazing to see videos from 2008 when the Left seemed so united after Obama's election and two years later they are ripping themselves from every seam.

  • Sir,

Please stop this Fat Cat give away and attack on Social Security!

By the way I am unemployed at this time.

    Calvin

  • Wonderful Bernie Sanders. Thanks goodness for his bravery and ideaiism.

  • In accepting the deal to cut payroll and business taxes and extend all of the Bush-era tax rates through 2012, Obama has implicitly admitted that his liberalized economic agenda against business and for bigger govt. were totally wrong. He's acknowledging lower taxes matter to growth, treating business like robber barons hurts investment and hiring, and that tax cuts are superior to spending. It took 10% unemployment and 63 lost House seats for this reality to get past his libreral brainwashing.

  • bernie sanders is a crackpot. i'm utterly embarrassed that he represents my home state

  • @sfmattyb You are a crackpot if you support giving more money to millionaires and billionaires. Well, unless you are one of them.

  • Comment removed

  • nice

  • Honestly im not mad at Obama for keeping the tax cuts, im mad at him for not cutting taxes across the board. He should cut spending and taxes.

  • @treysparker WHAT? This does cut taxes for everyone. Who exactly is not getting a tax cut with this deal?

  • @rmonroe401 No one is getting a tax cut out of this. This is a contiunation of the current progressive tax levels that has been in effect for 10 years.

  • Is bernie so stupid as to not realize that the country voted the dums out largely based on Obungle's threat of not extending the Bush tax cuts? Are libs so stupid as to not keep their promises to the jobless by extending unemployment because of their wrong headed views against the so-called rich? BTW, the rich are the dems, not the repubs. Just ask Gates, Buffet, Turner etc., who are the richest and are dems. Sorry libs your class warfare crap is toast. So how's it smell now?

  • @ObowMao666 WRONG. 65% of Americans support letting the tax cuts for people making over 250K a year expire. But nice try with your lies and distortions. I know Republicans have been doing it for years, but did you really think you could get away with it.

  • OK Bernie, BUT this isn't just tax cuts for rich folks, who've actually earned their money instead of having it given to them by govt. extortionists that steal from everyone, but mostly the rich already, to give to those who don't earn their money. Yes, Obungle is a liar who conned the libs for their votes b/c he knows libs are stupid dreamers who don't live in reality. Now he's pissed at the libs like the rest of the country is after seeing how selfish and backwards they are.

  • I also do not understand how a tax cut that was in place during the economic collapse is the fresh new strategy we need to fix the economy.

  • I'm extremely jealous that this man doesn't represent my state.

  • @VAFranky You are not alone VAFranky, I too wish he represented my state. He has morals. He realizes how wrong it is to give much needed tax money to people who have been benefiting from this country for decades and squirreling away their money while hardworking Americans get the screws. Enough is freaking enough . EAT THE RICH.

  • @rmonroe401 off the poor

  • GIVE 'EM HELL BERNIE!!!

  • @412b3d You guys always leave out that congress was controled by Republicans during the Clinton years and all spending originates in the House. Hospitals and schools are the domain of the states not the feds. This isn't all about money. Much of it is whether the control is at the federal level or the state level. States can build schools, roads and hospitals. Everything dosen't have to revolve around Washington DC.

  • Why do dums want to discriminate against those who've finally made it? Why do dums want everyone poor and on welfare? Their class warfare game is getting really stale and they lose on it every time. Even Obungle has finally seen the light on tax cuts for restoring job growth and expanding businesses. Libs are proving their insanity by crying over the same 'ol stuff and expecting different results, which is also why libs have been reduced to less than 20% of the population now.

  • @ObowMao666

you make no sense. Largely because of your ignorance to the fact.

  • @ObowMao666 If the Dems didn't discriminate against the successful and only reward failures who else would they have to vote for them? This is all just a game to them while they point and whine about the successful. Tax you on your income, tax you on your dividends then tax you again when you die. The only saving grace would be if they did something good with the money, but they give it to UAW and foreign interests for GM. When you prove you can handle money, you can have some, until then NO!

  • @ladylordess

You're out of your mind. What the hell do you think those taxes go to pay for? LOWERING THE DEFICIT. It's good economic policy. Would you rather we just went further and further into debt? Or are you suggesting that we cut spending?

  • @prokrastinatorSF U R out of your mind to support not allowing the tax's to remain the same for all Americans in this economy. Obama was RIGHT to not create a tax hike. Currently the dems are attempting to ADD more to the bill which will increase the deficit. They want us to go further into debt. Pelosi thinks UI stimulates the economy. STOP THE SPENDING!!! They think this is how you create jobs. It is insane to raise the taxes on the job creators. This worked under Regan and Clinton.

  • @ladylordess Too much spending, cut taxes. The deficit is too big, cut taxes.

So tired of hearing this nonsensical talk from FOX News and their zombie army.

  • @VAFranky You should stop watching FOX and try to read instead. Then you may actually learn why creating a tax hike in this economy would be harmful. Instead you prefer to play the class warfare game. Boo Hoo, the job creators are mean, they make us work, they pay us a wage that we are worth, those evil bastards. 2 bad 4 u that the president agrees that this would be a foolish move, so he went against all of his campaign bullshit. Wise man!

  • @ladylordess You assume that I don't read, but you didn't even respond to what I typed. You just went off on some unrelated tangent. Allow me to simplify.

You think we are spending too much, and you want to spend MUCH more.

That is the paradox that I was pointing out. You think people make only the money they deserve and no one cheats the system? Sometimes the job creators lie, cheat and steal. That is basically what Bernie was saying all day long if you had taken a moment to listen.

  • @VAFranky An assumption based on your post. You admitted that you were overloaded from too much FOX news.Your post was vapid. There wasn't anything to do but to point out the truth and set you on your way to find it. I want ALL spending to stop. I want job creators to create jobs. The more a pro-business atmosphere is supported, the more likely we will have a true recovery. At this rate it will take 5 years. Try using your ears instead of whining. Go out and create a job and then get back 2 me.

  • @ladylordess "U R out of your mind to support not allowing the tax's to remain the same for all Americans in this economy" -ladylordess

Basically you were saying "extend the tax cuts", at the same time you are saying "I want ALL spending to stop" which as I stated earlier is a paradox. Extending the tax cuts; which will cost hundreds of billions of dollars, is most certainly spending.

P.S. I can't use my ears to read your comments.

  • @ladylordess

You are right! Clinton had a great, moderate tax policy! And, if Congress allows the Bush tax cuts to expire, tax rates would go back to... EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DURING THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. Which is why I support letting them expire!

  • @prokrastinatorSF You are aware that just Friday, two Democratic Presidents called a press conference at the WH and they both ENDORSE the Bush Tax Cuts??? Otherwise, they become the Obama Tax Hike. Both of these men know this is the RIGHT thing to do for our economy. This is the best path for Job creation, as the keynesian economics path didn't work. We need MORE than 2 million jobs before the next election. It will take 5 mil to turn it around.

  • @ladylordess The only reason they're going along with the tax cuts is so they can get the unemployment benefits extended. Now people will be able to claim unemployment for over two years. Guess who is going to pay for it, you and I. Do you understand every portion of the deal, have you even read it? Or are you just in lala "yay less taxes" land.

Still perplexed as to how you say that you are "against ALL spending".

  • @VAFranky bho agrees that it would be detrimental to raise taxes on anyone currently. A compromise was reached. Pelosi is attempting to show her fleeting strength by raising her ugly head, but the bill will pass. Summers explained the 2nd dip that would occur otherwise. Corp cash is sitting on the side lines waiting for a more pro-business leader. Certainty will be required for job creation. The more certainty, the more jobs. The bill shouldn't pass and let the R's create a new one in jan.

  • @ladylordess LOL, corporate cash sitting on the sidelines. No kidding, and it will only be used to make the super rich more powerful and give them more control over ALL of our lives. Blind, blind, blind people.

  • @ladylordess That relates in no way to what I said but....okay. Aside from that everyone has known the bill is going to pass since Obama signed that horrendous agreement.

  • @prokrastinatorSF How much would your taxes go up if the tax cuts were to expire?

  • Comment removed

  • @metsman10

A Democrat with balls? First of all, Dumbass, he's an INDEPENDANT.

  • @JimboVids damn man, you could just correct me..i didn't realize he was an independent

  • @JimboVids He 's an socialist. It's easy to mistake him for the average Democrat.

  • Finally somebody telling it like it is!

  • Bush economic policy ? Bush was not a philosopher ! The still growing astronomous gap between rich and poor is laming the US.

  • Why have many billionaires agree and support that the tax cut should end . Because the lower 98% of Americans keep getting poorer and the 2 % keep getting richer . When the tax cut was enacted the the top 2 % had 10 trillion in wealth . Now 10 years later the top 2% have 40 trillion in wealth do the math

  • @gdlead Any Billionaire can give his or her money to the government anytime they want. They don't have to wait for the tax man or for April 15th. I don't see Soro's or Buffet or Gates handing it all over to Uncle Sam and walking away to join the great middle class that they worry about so much. They don't want to pay more. They want YOU to pay more. Stop being their tool.

  • How dumb does dmhappy think we are? He says, "The taxation system in this country has been hijacked buy [sic] corporate elite who use it for there own greed." Then he advocates the elimination of progressive taxation - exactly what the corporate elite want. He's only a pawn in their game.

  • Is this the land of the free? The whole Tax system is Unfair and its designed that way! Scrape the whole corrupt thing. A flat tax across the board for all. Congress needs to learn to live with in its means just like you or I. END THE FED. Instill some common sense decision making principles Separation of business from Government. Let free market run and we would be out of this mess. The taxation system in this country has been hijacked buy corporate elite who use it for there own greed.

  • The rich already pay more taxes than everybody else. The top ten percent pay something like ninety percent of all taxes, the bottom third don't pay a damn thing. Some pay withholding but get most or all of it back. If they have kids they get exemptions, etc. If you don't own property or pay taxes you're a damn leech on society, and you shouldn't get a vote on how the government spends the tax money of legitimate American citizens

  • Nobody outside of Vermont cares about this old commie . Who did you really think you were getting when you voted for Obama ? This is the guy that through his minister of over 20 years under the bus in a blink of an eye . Obama only cares about Obama and he thinks this is what will get him re elected .

  • Has Barack joined the Republican Party yet?

    Anyone know?

  • Liberalism is a mental disorder.

  • Until this country has people like Bernie Sanders, Dennis Kucinich, etc running our government, this country will never be great again!!! It's all downhill from here as long as the Republitards are in power. It might be time to start thinking about another Civil War before this GOP party (GOLIATH OF PARASITES) gets "TOO BIG TO DEFEAT". We can't allow 300,000+ parasites/terrorists to enslave/impoverish the remaining 300,000,000+ Americans through lobbyists & $-hungry, whoring politicians!!!

  • Sander is a sellout, he watered down Ron Paul's original Audit the Fed bill... He sold out & sided with the big banks!

It's sad to see 363 people fall into the constituent left/right charade...

  • 363 fell into the Sanders charade, 2 people know its just another charade for the constituents

  • You people will need to learn to strip out the class warfare language in the future, as it no longer works in this meritocracy that is America!! Good Luck with that, as it is so ingrained into your fabric.

  • @ladylordess The meritocratic system that has produced such hits as George W Bush, Paris Hilton and the cat that inherited ten million dollars?

Many youths are born in ghettos and often have their school funding slashed (guess which party normally sees to that). How often do you think the merit system compensates them accordingly for their efforts?

  • @VAFranky Yes, the system that produced Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Dean Kamen. I only used examples of names of capitalists that you would be aware of. Look at the Detroit school system. It is a shit hole of it's own making. Look at the city of Detroit. A shithole that is a product of the Detroit School System. There is no greater of an example of waste then the city of Detroit. What is the common denominator there????

  • @ladylordess The ability to refer to an entire city of human beings as a waste is what separates you and me. How hard could it possibly be to know a deluge of capitalists in a capitalist nation? Keep assuming that you are intellectually superior to everyone else in such a condescending fashion and it will eventually come back to bite you.

I don't assume that I am more intelligent than you, I'm sure you can name plenty of capitalists, socialists, etc. and I wouldn't assume otherwise by default.

  • @ladylordess P.S. I hope that you are just trolling at this point because that is just vile.

  • @VAFranky Yes, the city of Detroit is very vile, of that we can agree. : )

  • @ladylordess Then maybe you can become their queen. (;

  • @VAFranky I'm pretty sure you have to be 100% African American to be the queen of Detroit. No half breeds allowed. Oh well.

  • @ladylordess Why strip out the class warfare language? It IS class warfare. We live in a plutocracy, and the numbers prove it. Look at the wage growth numbers for the different tax brackets over the last 40 years. The middle class is not growing, and less people are achieving the "American Dream". On top of that, taxes for the top income bracket are historically low right now.

  • @Jethro494 That is exactly where you are wrong. America is a meritocracy and the numbers prove it. You must do your best to get ahead. You can start a company with VERY little money and turn it into an extremely successful venture. I know that is true, as that is what I did, and could do it again if I had to. Less people are achieving the American Dream because they are taught that it doesn't exist and no one encourages them to dream. That is truly a waste!!!!

  • @ladylordess And I just wanted to add one more thing, because you dropped Warren Buffet's name when you were talking about meritocracies and how taxes need to stay low for everyone.

Warren Buffet doesn't agree with you, so you shouldn't use his name to back yourself up when you are making that particular argument.

  • @VAFranky Warren also didn't donate additional tax money to the government on his IRS form. He could have if he wanted to. Instead he created a fund that allows control out of the governments hands, as he knows it can do more that way. If he thought the government was the answer, he would give ALL his money to them. He won't. You can't argue that fact.

  • @ladylordess No I won't argue, because that is true. But again, (like my last 3 comments) that is not at all what I was saying.

I was just saying that, Warren Buffet thinks the super wealthy should pay more taxes and that he believes it is crucial to keep the deficit in check. So you shouldn't use his name to argue that the super wealthy should keep/receive tack cuts.

  • @VAFranky Warren Buffet is the SUPER wealthy. Those who make above 200k is a far cry from a billionaire!! Who is it that draws these imaginary lines between the rich and poor? Perhaps those whose goal it is to create class warfare??? There are no tax cuts. This is an extension for all Americans of the existing system. Otherwise it would be a tax hike on all Americans.

  • @ladylordess I know hes insanely wealthy...I think you missed the point again, entirely.

I'm not even arguing or making any points about tax cuts anymore, I'm just saying that you are using a figure that disagrees with your argument to support your argument. Do you understand what I'm saying this time? Third times a charm?

  • @VAFranky Yes, you missed the point entirely. What a waste. You are using a figure that says do as I say, and not as I do!!!!! I give up on you as you are too thick headed to understand. Maybe English isn't your primary language!?!

  • @ladylordess Uhhh....I can see that you are finally running out of gas. Changing the subject and ignoring everything that I say, replying with something completely unrelated each and every time. Up to this point I have demonstrated a better grasp of the English language than you have.

Example: "UR not just saying that just 2 be PC". Abbreviating two letter words etc.

    Give me a break

  • @VAFranky UR a strange bird who is wasting my time. Try and stay on topic or don't bother. It must look like an acid trip inside your head most of the time. Or is it a mental illness and government meds?

  • @ladylordess I've been accusing you of being off topic this entire time. So start saying that I'm off topic because you know you can't win an argument with me. Let me split this into two separate comments so that you don't get confused this time. I'm going to state my original point, that you NEVER defended one last time. The one that I stated before you started this song and dance around the issues.

Keep attacking my character because you have no argument.

  • @ladylordess You say that you are "Against ALL spending" but you are in favor of a bill that costs over a trillion dollars. That is...spending, so you are in fact not against all spending.

If you aren't going to address that accusation; like the last three times, then save your breath (fingers). If you go off again on some rant about Bill Gates etc. I'm done with you.

  • @VAFranky I am against all spending just as the R's are who have heard the American people and have put a freeze on spending. Many are now not going to vote for this porkulus. However, you should learn what compromise is. I understand that it is a new idea after all. This bill cost over a trillion now because of all the added earmarks. Please do me a favor and BE DONE WITH ME!!!!!!! ROTFLMAO. But I just bet you can't resist!!! lol

  • @ladylordess So you're arguing that the decline of the middle class in this country is due to a lack of effort? That's stupid. Probably it's due to globalization and the decline of American manufacturing more than anything else. American productivity is actually pretty good. Wages are stagnant for all but the wealthiest. Between 1947 and 1973, the middle fifth of income grew by 98%. Between 1974 and 2004, the middle fifth only grew by 23.3%. That's a 75% dropoff.

  • @ladylordess The numbers are even more stark when we consider the numbers of income earners BELOW the middle fifth, or those attempting to enter the middle class. Between 1947 and 1973, the bottom fifth of all income earners increased their income by 116.1%. Between 1974 and 2004, the bottom fifth of income earners only increased their income by 2.8%. They're making almost the same money they were making 40 years ago. The middle class is no longer growing, and it's not because of laziness.

  • @Jethro494 Don't bother, she won't address the facts that you provided. Shes just going to start talking about random unrelated things and criticize your English and bring your sanity into question whenever you make a valid point for which she has no retort.

  • It’s our spending that’s a problem, not the ability of the wealthiest to pay even more. The Ds will need to learn that you reap what you sow. Ds didn't listen to the R's for 2 years. Now they don't have to compromise anymore than they already have. U say U want jobs, yet UR so envious of the successful in this country you want to punish them by taking more, instead of encouraging them to put it to work in this economy. Obviously u still haven't heard the American people. Unconscionable UR.

  • @ladylordess The rich have been doing so well lately, the poor and middle class have taken a beating over the past 30 years. Voodoo economics do not work. The supply siders where full of shit in 1980, and are even more full of shit now. We do not have jobs in this country because the rich have hoarded the wealth and is now holding the middle class hostage. They are sitting on trillions of dollars making people suffer and starve. I hope they enjoy their time in HELL when they die.

  • BERNIE SANDERS FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012

  • GO BERNIE GO!

  • Sen. Sanders, thanks for standing up! You gave me some hope here. I agree with everything you have said here!

  • @DillonDee1-She was talking about her friends in the Senate. They have the votes to override. You know, for go or bad at least when the republicans take a vote they mostly stick together as a voting block are on these kinds of bills.Obama caved in to easily and angered his own party. The Holy Grail (a 700 billion dollar Tax Break to the Rich and ending funding to 99'ers on unemployment benefits) the GOP wanted they got with little opposition from the Dems.Obama showed them his hand and folded.

  • Were Sanders to filibuster, it would kill two birds with one stone -- this would influence them to change the Senate rules to prevent the GOP from abusing the filibuster continuously as well.

  • Bernie Sanders Change you can believe in.

  • My Senator ftw.

  • Deficit spending doesn't work. Ever.

  • @hodoprime Two words, "New Deal"

  • @HWClark052 Exactly! The New Deal was a good example of how deficit spending can prolong the agony of a recession.

  • Bernie Sanders for PRESIDENT!!!!!

  • Even Nancy Pelosi said they have the votes to over ride any filibuster efforts. At least she has an excuse for having no balls.Obama gave the GOP their Holy Grail. They blocked 99'ers from getting anymore benefits and the Dems gave them the 700 billion in tax revenue.Whats not to like if you were a Republican? Now who can you trust? I'm done with this Democrat.

  • @pep103 -- Pelosi rules the House which has no filibuster.

The Senate does & It takes 60 votes to stop it.

Dems should unite & say they won't stop the filibuster unless those making over a million are excluded from the tax breaks.

  • FUCK YES SANDERS

  • @calmdowngirl You wouldn't be a good candidate for therapy. One has to be able to express themselves. You only mimic others. Bet you voted for 'bama.

  • heck yeah we need to keep those cuts from being permanent. For one thing the rich can afford a small hike. for another thing the dream act must not pass. This will give more state and federal seats to republicans as american is bi-partisan in not wanting this vermin here.

  • a hand worth shaking

  • Wacko weirdo with a New York accent!

  • Both parties support the needless wars in the mid east that only benefit corporate America and special interests. If Sander's wants to save tax money and needless spending, then he should start protesting these goofy wars.

  • DEMOCRATS NEED BALLS LIKE THIS MANS

  • @wieners Shriveled and hanging low??? I think that is exactly what the Dems have already. But thanks for the image. AAARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!

  • Bernie's got stones as big as bowling balls! And everyone should take a hint - America LOVES a man who stands up for principles!

  • Senator Sanders, you sir are a piece of garbage for not supporting 13 extra months of unemployment benefits.

  • Its like high school except the people more focused on popularity get to fuck over our lives, what a great game!

  • too bad he couldn't represent a slightly more populated state.... sigh....

  • Senator Bernie Sanders for President!!!!

  • Thank you SENATOR SANDERS - Billionaires do not need the tax cuts.

  • One of the only Democrats actually willing to stand up for Democratic ideas and legislation.. is not a Democrat. How fitting. I wish the Democrats would do som
