He is having to deal with bills that are coming due (wars, medicare programs and tax cuts that were not paid for,reduced revenues from the Bush recession, and an aging demographic that requires more services). @FreedomInAmerica most of the reason the govt owns so much is because in 2008 when the bailouts were given to the corps, how do you think they paid the govt back? Not in cash but in ownership of the companies. The government start selling that ownership (in the form of shares) in order to get back the money they spent on bailouts. The government owns '70%+' of the country and industries not only through legislation (which is a part of it) but because of corporate incompetence.

100% predicted. It was predicted that the US would invade the middle east, one country at a time to disrupt and dismantle their ability to produce oil, using all monitary resources to do it. Then the US would open all its oil wells (more oil than the middle east could dream of) and dominate the market by undercutting any remaining ability the middle east had to produce oil and make profit. The dollar will still collapse, and our oil will be purchasable with the "new world" currency.
