I read one of Teller's road essays where he described and event that had happened to him in Cairo. He had taken plenty of bottled water with him so he wouldn't get disease from the nasty water, but one morning neglected to use it while he was brushing his teeth. So he reached for his mouth wash and gargled. But it tasted a little funny to him. When he took a closer look at the bottle he realized that he had just gargled liquid Tide detergent. Personally, I think that's what was so funny to him.
