  • again, im no expert but ill give it a shot. NS 8854 looks like a GE C40-8. BNSF 6086 looks like its a GE ES44AC. NS 9393 (btw thats my birthday 9/3/93 haha) looks like a GE C40-8W, the W in the GE DASH locos probably means wide cab?? idk but a possible reason for the BNSF unit is that the train is a run-thru train between the two railroads. so this may be a long-distance train that originated on BNSF rails and terminates on NS rails

  • I'm curious about the orange BNSF engine between the NFSs. Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway doesn't normally get this far east. I'm no expert, but I have started some casual train spotting - we mostly just get CSX, NFS and NJT around Union.

  • @njcurmudgeon sorry, I am not very knowledgeable about those kinds of things. I did hear once that there is a train repair station somewhere in the east that companies send their engines to, and I have seen some different engines on this line and assumed they were coming or going to that repair station, but can't really tell you about the BNSF in this video.
