  • her name is zhang jian, prima ballerina at national ballet of china. the gentleman's name is yu bo, a principal at natoinal ballet of china.

  • @l0ls0m3b0dy I just watched their website and it seems you are right. But I'm a little confused. Which should be the highest rank in a ballet company, the prima or the principal?

  • More than great!Who is she?

  • great!

  • Lindo!!!

  • she is lovely. she seems to dance with such joy!

  • She is beautiful! How old is she??? Where did she study at that time??? Beautiful!!!!

  • absolutely amazing!

    breath taking.

  • NOT in Japan.

    it's in KOREA.

  • search in ZHANG JIAN BALLET. you will find more of her dancing.

  • her name is ZHANG JIAN. she is prima ballerina of NATIONAL BALLET OF CHINA(my classmate by the way). this is the video of her in a korean ballet competition. also In 1997, she won the Gold Medal at the 8th Moscow International Ballet Competition. unfortunately she does not speak much english. i think she should be one of the biggest ballet star today. and she has great personality too. I wish the world could see her more.

    best wish to ZHANG JIAN!

  • THEY ARE NOT JAPANESE. I read the description of her in the beginning written in Korean. It said "Joon Gook" which means they're from China. Get it straight. >:[[

Other than that, it was a beautiful pas de deux. (: she's so lovely to watch.

  • it's a beautiful dance!!! They are really amazing and I hate that all through the ballet, people talk like it's a sporting event.

  • this is korean.

  • They look Korean to me...definitely not Japansese

  • lovely

  • They are NOT Japanese.

  • she is so amazing, i want to be able to dance like her soon!

  • all Japanese dancers look identicle

  • Maybe she is around 28, I guess. BTW, this was taken when she won 2nd prize in senior competition in Korea.

  • omg that was beautiful. just stunning, and very clean movements

    how old is she???

  • I still prefer Sizova and Nureyev in this pas de deux; they include some more difficult steps.

  • They BOTH are very beautiful! the traditional choreography for Le Corsaire pas doesn't offer the male as much in the way of independant choreography (until the variation and coda). He is her porter in this ballet. He is, after all, "the slave" in Le Corsaire.

  • Lovely pas de deux.

  • yeah,its Zhang Jian,which competition it is?

  • Zhang Jian is such a beautiful dancer. She won the Gold Medal at the 8th Moscow International Ballet Competition in 1997. She was a guest artist at Houston ballet.

  • what a amazing girl!!! Thanks for the video! She is just wonderful!

  • wow they are good

  • She's a gorgeous dancer!! Just beautiful. I love it when they show vidoes that speak a different language it just pushes the americans to get fluent in another language I love it. except the only thing is I speak 9 different languages but sadly i dont speak Japanese nor Korean. but i did have a korean teacher once. well anyway she was beautiful i have watched this video many times its just that good.

  • I love her feet in this.. the first time it shows her arch it looks like a spoon. Very pretty.

  • it's korean being spoken and written

  • It was not in Japan.

    It was in Korea.
