  • OMG checkout this video RIGHT NOW got me to 100k views in one week on my vid! /watch?v=uqwhomCAO6o

  • Technology is very important!! Without technology your standing naked in the woods

  • This loser sounds 11 years old. what a nerd. he might jizz if he keeps talking about this crap.

  • Are portable cd players obsolete?

  • This kid has no concept of economicsand how the development of our technology is driven by competition, if we "brought it all together" technology would come screeching to a halt

  • dude one time tech killed my mom

  • Technology will continue to evolve and advance, that's a given.

  • fuckin geek

  • does he have bracers ?

  • 11111 view!!!!!!!!!

  • technology keeps getting better and better

  • textbook nerd

  • technology will always evolve one invention or type of innovation will always spark new creativity...and as far as the good and bad of technology it like everything else is life is a reflection of its users so, good users create good things and bad users create bad things.

  • Think about it... all inventions(a few exceptions) make us lazier.

  • Lazy is good

  • Why'd my comment get a thumbs down? I just stated the obvious.

Computers: we don't have to do many of the stuff computers do stuff.

Cars. obvious. Typewriter: too late to type.

  • Great vid

  • prolific... in a nerdy way haha

  • Technology continues to evolve as long as a sustainable source of energy exists. So we should make that technology of energy production (not energy consumption) should always be supported.

  • altough i as well doubt technology will ever stop evolving, i do however dislike that you said it's "guaranteed" to continue to do so; this is why: what if, for example, humans finally stop having this urge to evolve, and technology does EVERYTHING we need it to extremely reasonably. have you not noticed certain aspects of technology have come almost to a stand-still? once again, i doubt as well it'll happen, i'm just saying...

  • This is the exact thing me and other developers love to hear, DO NOT COMPLAIN, offer suggestions or point out issues.

  • Amen. I hear you.

  • Technology is going to ruin humanity.

  • It unfortunatly already has since this comment is at minus 1!!!! Sad truth..

  • he looks like jamie washington from TC.SCDA

  • hi do all your imacs all work as yu have three but only use i

  • Chris has 1 Mac pro hooked up to the two 30" Dell screens, one iMac and the MacBook Pro; Mac Pro being the primary comp, iMac for various things, MacBook Pro for portable etc =]

  • thank you very much lol! me and my friend just noticed that the screen says dell on the bottom and that the screen closest to the macbook has a disc drive any way thank you agian

  • Way back when, Intel insisted that the 486 will be the last processor, because it was the first true real-time processor... look where we are now. Microsoft said there's no reason we'd need a 64-bit operating system because 32bit systems provide more than enough memory and paging for any task you want to perform on the PC... look where we are now. Many people may say Technology will hit a peak, but it never will... Ever.

  • i no

  • does anyone else find the audio out of sync? maybe 0.3 seconds behind?

  • Chris said imagine walking into a place and not being able to access the internet...

Have you ever being in a Toilet chris? or does your toilet have a built in laptop next to the Arsepaper roll holder?

  • wireless :P

  • If you have 2 bring you internet wi fi into the toilet with you well thats just pretty sad lol

  • u dont bring it in its just there

  • why do people like you misconstrue everything you know what he meant by saying "walking into a place and not having internet" you just like to put a twist on the things he says to try to find a flaw with what he sad wich is kind of sad that your listening so hard come on get a life

  • talking to tech geeks who I can guarantee have internet on their phone.

  • which is what he was reffering to if you watched the whole video and listened.

  • Oh go get a life and while your at it get a fucking sense of humour you miserable prick

  • NO perpetual energy is the final step

  • This is great!

  • Moore's law describes a long-term trend in the history of computing hardware. Since the invention of the integrated circuit in 1958, the number of transistors that can be placed inexpensively on an integrated circuit has increased exponentially, doubling approximately every two years. The trend was first observed by Intel co-founder Gordon E. Moore in a 1965 paper

  • Tech is the future...

  • Technology will never stop.

You MAY reach a point in some things, But then someone will find a way to make it smaller, faster.

Touch screen computers, Hologram computers the size of a pen. A computer that starts up in 1 second. And who knows, Maybe someone will make something better then a computer.

  • ENOUGH WITH FUCKIN TWITTER CHRIS

  • LOL you still have to run arrownd lookin for wifi here in hawaii!

  • Please use proper grammar, I can barely read this xD

  • If they hadnt had discovered the microchip, noneo f this what we are DOING NOW, would be possible. technology is like fashion, comes round in circles, like music does

  • Technology is the portal to our future as a species.

  • i think technology will get to a point were it will be all about style, media and communication because once we made a extremly fast computer thats cheap ( some 32 core monster :P ) with crazy graphics. No one would really want to buy some other power house computer when they can get a cheap fast one

  • I remember when I was in elementary school (early 90s) I asked my parents if we could have e-mail (saw it on a tv show)..they said, "oh no, never, that will cost thousands of dollars"! Now my whole family is on macbooks and iphones / blackberrys.

  • i like digsby

  • Well said Chris. well said

  • New technology is always growing, and it will never end-for the rich and for the government. I thought our lives would be so cool right now- this is just like 45 years ago with cellphones and more commercials. Instead of visiting friends in person, I write you here. ??big improvement?? love, lady with IT degree,

  • well if at t isnt going to expand their network then maybe the iphone should work on other networks where i live an iphone will not work in any shape or phone so i couldnt get one if i wanted to thats my only complaint about the iphone

  • No way tech changes soooo fast. Everything that you can buy right now is really old. New things are being made every minute.

  • i agree with all that, especially the fact that we will never know everything about technology.

  • I agree theirs always going to be a person with a better idea to make something better.

New Technology will live for ever.

  • I agree with Chris on all three questions. :P

    Very well said. :D

  • If technology were to take over the world, then there would be no form of productivity and interactivity, for example, in the movie Wall-E, every single person on the ship was fat. FAT!! We don't need that kind of life.

  • we all do not like ignorant people! We are all ignorant in some way right?? Bottom line is that the more we research independently, the more we learn and become smarter.

  • without technology, where would we be now?

  • i would be at home, reading D: or or singing in the woods around a campfire with a beard. lol

  • 5 stars awesome video

  • i think people wanting things their way is not just american its people in general

  • the answer to the question is similar is either "will the demand of peoples needs ever stop?" or "will the earth's population ever stop?"

  • cos humans are never satisfied

  • For me technology is the highest demonstration of human practical intelligence. It's a creative area, and since creativity is a result of a biological need for adapting the environment to your needs, it feels like an exciting stimulation. That would be my opinion about the third question.

  • AGREED with every word

  • Technology will climb over the wall... Lol

  • 1. No, Technology will grow and grow and never stop.

    2. Yes, It helps lots of people do more things faster.

    3. You can do lots of things that can help you newer things will make you want to use it more. Then you will have ideas then you can learn how to code software.

  • That is great advice and the point of critiquing, giving feedback on the complaint.

  • Technology is simply the development of combined ideas, we can always make something better, and it wont stop. For that to happen we would have to completely conquer the universe. That wont ever happen for any species of any planet.

  • once technology hits the 'wall' - technology will be made to creak down the wall..

  • So True.....

  • Is he from the future?

  • I wonder if the advance of technology will decrease our individuality. Once we can plug a college degree USB stick into a child and everyone knows all common knowledge (instant access to all of Googles info for example) how will we differentiate ourselves? Want to work as a teacher? A stockbroker? A doctor? Buy the software and youre all set. It could be harder to compete with others. And if that sounds crazy, why is Chris so surprised that he can get instant internet access on his iphone.

  • by the time that will happen we will be a level 1 civilization. thngs will be different by then.

  • For that to happen we all would have to abandon religion. I can't wait, that would be awesome I wish I could have been born during that era.

  • yes no religion would be awsome, no more arguments bases on religion(israel), also less genocide(jews, black africans(darfur)). also more people looking to advance this world for a better life. i can only dream of a day. but we may not get that far because of conspiracies lie the NWO, gov corruption(NIST), non-disclosure(roswell), war, ECT.........

  • technology never stops

in 2000 a MONSTER of a gaming rig was 128mb of ram 8mb video card and a whooping 10bg hdd

    and a blazing fast 300mhz Pentium 2

and now look at computer like the macpro I mean a 2.6ghz in a laptop

cellphone 10 years ago where fat heavy and if you had a lcd screen you where hot shit

now look at the iphone 128mb of ram and 1 67mhz cpu

cars 30 years ago where a engine and 4 wheels if you where lucky you had a fan {no A/C] new cars tell where and how to drive

  • Technology will never stop expanding and these days it's moving super fast.

  • what i like about technology is that as time passes you get more for less but you can never own the lates technology becuase new technology comes out every day.. : (

  • Poor sync!! please do a re upload!!! its annoying!...lol..

  • Technology will always advance in different areas via paradigm shifts. The invention of personal computing was huge paradigm shift and so was the mobile phone. There still an inconceivably huge amount of advancements that need to be done.

  • What happened to the sync?

  • well the thing is

home computers 30 years ago 1mb of ram took up a football field

now computers are shipping with 8gb of ram

15 years ago the cell phone was a brick

and now look at the iphone

  • There is no way that I will ever have a computer with the size of an atom with a storage capacity of a trillion TB.

  • There is no limits to how far we can go, Inner space and outer space is where we are going with Technology. Technology would evolve so much more faster than we can even imagine if it was not for Profit and gain. Money and Compitition holds inventions back, as well as the Global Rich elite, and Bankers.

Check out the Venus project to see what the future can be like, A real Future.

But we still enjoy money, limitations, and Consumerism.

Times are Changing people faster than we can blink

  • Purple dog is a bad mod he banned me for sayin homosexual

    (not even to anybody !!)

  • There are already some recognized limitations to certain forms of technology, like software. Take for example comparison-based sorting algorithms. The running time of any comparison-based algorithm for sorting an n-element sequence is Omega(n log n) in the worst case.

There is a limitation right there. Of course, there are faster sorting algorithms (which have their own negative aspects), but this is specifically for comparison-based algorithms.

  • tech philosophy. lol

  • Chris, you are so right about everything. I love that you do and I love the day and age that we live in.

You are my youtube friend and youtube is the way I choose to connect with you.

I first used a computer and email in late '98. I started using the computer because a friend told me I could meet women that way...and I sure hooked up with a lot of women that way.

  • My asumption is, they will make lifelike interactive pornography using large dolls and hollogram projections.

  • intersing video i wound mind if there come more videos like this

  • If your smart you'd take some programming classes.

  • If you're smart you wouldn't need to.

  • How do you learn to progam then? (Don't say by reading books, because that's just a substitution of "taking programming classes)

  • Easy, write scripts. How else do you learn something other than just doing it?

  • You can't do it if you don't know how to do it. You have to see it first, so you have to learn it anyway.

  • There is this thing called the internet my friend. It has more resources then any classroom. Learning is simply doing.

  • I'm putting that on my favorite quotes section on my website. TY!

  • I'm doing a lot of stuff during programming classes. I'm also using the internet to learn a couple of new things, but you would be surprised how much stuff really isn't there.

  • Awesome video!

    Really thought provoking.

  • I do not; not not not, have instant messaging. It took years for me to isolate my skills and response down to a productive, selective, few.

  • i don't have internet at the moment! nooo!

  • How did u comment then?

  • TheCompuGeeks, Well, I'm not at home when writing this!!

  • When I work on someones computer or help them with their software, I do offer suggestions. I have found that these people want a solution that doesn't cost anything. Technology is not free.

  • Someone ought to let Microsoft know that "It's not all about them".

  • Tech will be all streaming, no dvds or cable in 50 years.

  • id say more like 10 tbh...

  • You're right and wrong. I mean that will be a big part of it, but people will never be satisfied unless they continue saving media to personal devices. Streaming isn't 100% reliable. I'd much rather have a library of information to refer to belonging to me, than to tap into media being played from all over the world.

  • At this time, science has recognized that there are physical limitations with technology. This will lead to new horizons as long as we understand that we can exceed those limitations, by thinking outside the box.

  • buena, pero hecho de menos algunos subtitulos

estaria mejor para las personas que no entiende mucho de ingles, como yo

  • I love the tittle! " Where is Technology Headed?"

  • Very very nice topic thanks chris

where ever i go geeks always share the same passion about these kind of topics. we rule the world right now. GEEKS FTW

  • Is the audio out of sync? Or did I break Ubuntu?

  • impossible

  • What's impossible?

  • breaking ubuntu :-p

  • joke dude lol, but is the audio in sync?

  • yupp

  • it's a bit out of sync

  • Happy Mother's Day

  • Hi Chris

In regards to the first question, do you foresee a time when technology will reach a point where we will be unable to describe it, or imagine it further? In other words, will technology reach a point where we as humans cannot fathom its progressions?

  • Nice topic :) and well done explaining your thoughts.

    // Nick

  • I said fuck you Chris but I changed my mind. I like you man.

  • hey chris im getting an iphone on monday, ordered it online today. any tips or tricks or just general comments for me?
