@gpmea123 No, there is also the Assassin and Dervish. But even on top of that you can go melee with any class if you want. It may not be practical all the time but some times it can be more fun. For example I have a Ritualist/Warrior that I play as a warrior just because I find it some times more fun than playing the standard warrior class.

about the class its all about your style i havent played GW for 2 years (gonna start again soon) but i choosed Warrior because they are so violent nothing with wait and throw a starter spell its just sprint and nuke ! and if you like staying in the back and do spells then take elementalist or something just try evry race level them to 10 and take the one you prefer(also try to pvp with them)

6 classes in main gasme and the 2 extra campaigns give u the 6 PLus 2 more, Prophecies gives Warrior, Ranger, Elementalist, Necro, Monk and Mesmer. Factions Adds Assasin and...Im not sure ritualist i think, Nightfall adds Derv and i cant remember the last class, their a little rare. But my favorite ( I only have prophecies) is Warrior for defence and damage or Necro cuz their good at both Dealign damage and Healign themselves plus oyu can get a high level army of minions ;)

Necromancer can Curse enemies which kicks ass, Have death magic and raise undead minions or blood magic which drains enemies health and gives it to you and can deal alot of damage, plus you get mana for anything that dies aroudn you so oyu gain a boost, and Mesmer is a very good class only if oyu knwo how to use it, Ive seen people die alot using it and seen many people own everything with them, I personally think thhey stink but nothign annoys me more in an arena then a good mesmer fucking meup

I play both as well. I first was a diehard GW fan, but recently the playerbase has gone downhill and I find myself playing more and more WoW.
