  • Really nice!

  • What's with the black spot on the sun...

  • nice landing

  • perfect landing !

  • 0:04 is there a nipple on the sun or somthing

  • wtf is that black thing ?

  • What's the range of something like that?

  • nice landing

  • Really nice video!! The only suggestion I might make is to angle the camera down towards the ground a bit, if possible, so we see more ground and less sky. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

  • cool

  • what a dumpy neighborhood

  • Was the planet Mercury moving in front of the Sun ?

  • solar eclipse??

  • Very pretty. Awsome flying.

  • Nice fly, beautiful place! Congrats!!

  • why is there a dot on the sun?!

  • @pwnerzatzhaloz3 All videos look like that with cameras

  • You are really great at flying that model plane, just by watching it I feel like some is sitting in the pilot seat!

    5/5

    Well done!

  • Is that a Slow-Stick?

  • @BrainyBoy7 It sure is. Good eye.

  • @aspencer80 LOL I could tell by the shadow right at landing. Nice flight and beautiful camera quality! Do you have any other planes/helis?

  • Beautiful video indeed! The engine is the most quiet of all of the RC videos that I've seen. And the scenery is stunningly beautiful, plus it seems that you have quite a range. Thank you for posting this inspiring video, as it makes me want to get into this hobby more and more up to the point when I'll be able to fly/own the commercial turbine engine jet liners that Peter Michel builds/flys. I love these videos!

  • very very beautifull :O

  • 0:00 solar eclipse?

  • @bazookasforbunnies45

    creepy cmos camera

  • Awesome video thanx for sharing

  • Awesome video , thanx for sharing

  • What a nice and peaceful looking neighborhood. Thanks for sharing, cool video.

  • What a nice and peaceful looking neighborhood. Thanks for sharing, cool video.

  • uh whats that black circle in the sun?

  • waking up early is legitamently one of the best things in life. nice vid man

  • you live in paradies! wonderful scene and wonderful video!

  • our UAV is online!

  • Very nice!

  • what kind of RC plane is it ?

  • Nice flight

  • nice one :) thanks for the RCG thread, too! very nifty setup you have there! :)

  • awsome i love the landing

  • Very scenic landscape, great video.

  • man i wish i lived there right nex tto a big fields so i can just throw my plane off the roof and fly for hours!!!

  • When these cameras point into the sun, it causes a black spot. There isnt anything there.

  • lol motor

  • Nice final approach and landing... U have your own airport in the garden :)

  • BEST LANDING I EVER SEEEN

  • Okay I give up - what's that black spot over the sun?

  • @kcabpilot

my guess is when the camera detects a very bright spot like that, it automatically changes the color to black. My phone camera does this when pointed directly at the sun except the color changes to green.

  • good landing. very sweet.

  • very nice! great landing

  • a nice peice of music over that would be welcome, but not needed.

  • Wow, look at all those McMansions.

  • What kind of plane is this? Supercub LP?

  • I have no words. This must be one of the best videos I've seen in youtube. Congratulations man! And the way you fly your plane... awesome!!

  • @leopater1711 you should see vimeo

  • where is it?

  • Maryland

  • nice place, where u controlling this by eye or by viewing a feed of the camera?

  • By eye.

  • bro if u lost track of the plane, how would u find out ?

  • You'd expect the sensor to block the rest of the Sun too. Solid dot, and stays in relatively the same position, expect it to be an obstruction. The ball on the power line near one of the local airports would look just like this, you wouldn't see the power line..

  • Good work, nice video but surprised you didn't have a problem with drag having the camera mounted so high up on a light plane.

  • what ever is wrong the sun is cool yet creepy

  • nothing is wrong. the makers of the camera blot out the sun because it would blow out all the circuits. the sun is 2 brite. in the 90's when digital 1st came out that was a warning inside the box. and people wolud always destory the brand new cameras. any light that the digital picks up beyond a lumiante level it will black out

  • WTF is wrong with the sun?

  • That's typical for most CMOS cameras, sensor can't cope with the brightness of the sun.

  • Can you see video (on laptop?) while flying? Or is it just captured? Nice.

  • just captured

  • that looks like michigan? the houses, the sky, the vegetation. wow, beautiful morning. i love that. wo, showing off for your neighbor there :) how did you fly so far--is this fpv or just attached video? anyway very nice, God bless.

  • Where is this?

    Anyway nice scene and landing!

  • what kind of camera is this? how did you mount it?

  • nice landing

  • lice landing

  • Its not an eclipse you idiot

  • how do you know where your going? How do you even SEE your plane.. it looks really high up..

can a "wild hawk or "multiplex easy star" or "slope diver" go that high?

  • nice placeee!!!!

  • dude nice eclips

  • wat was that on the sun???

    eclipse??

    or a black sun XD

  • a black hole xD

  • Is that an eclipse ?

  • no some / most new electronic cams are able to blot out the sun because if not the sun would burn out the compnets. on your early cams that was a common problem that would void the repair agreement.

  • What is your range, it looks very far.

  • Sweet!

  • All my compliments. Very well done

  • O_O that landing was perfect

  • Nice. Thanks for posting.

3 year old video still hets 5 stars.

    :-)

  • that was awesome

  • Great video!

What kind of plane did you use?

Seems like it have a good range

    And what type of camera?

If you would measure how much you would pay to by all of this, how much will it be?

Good skills in controlling that plane ;)

  • hofish, maybe interferention

  • great job

  • why is the sun black?

  • the lens does that automaticaly because the sun is so bright and it could damage the lens

  • @hofish7 Because the light levels of the sun complely overloaded the video recorder. Often happens if you point a video rerorder at the sun.

  • @hofish7 Its probably digital filtering via the camera electronics. Otherwise you'd just have major glare and not be able to visualise anything.

  • @hofish7

It was taken on December the 21, 2012 ^^

  • @hofish7 something to do w/ the camera

  • @hofish7 ECLIPSE

  • @hofish7 do you really wanna know lol

  • @hofish7 it has nipples

  • @hofish7 i think it something that the camera does to stop the sun light from blinding out the shot

  • wow wonderful vid

if i had a million thumbs

i'd give it a milloin thumbs up!!!!!!!

  • im now one of ur subscribers.

  • Greeaaaaat video....5\5

  • Great video. One point, meant as friendly advice is that this seems to be a slow stick and it's got the best piloting skills that I have seen around. To improve the next one, please use soft foam rubber wheels as the plastic GWS sound like the airplane is crashing on takeoff and landing...

    Great video

  • Great video! Iv'e always wanted to do that.

  • does anyone know why the sun looks black?

  • because exposure or contrast.if you have a camera you have probaly noticed these options

  • great video..and grat place to live too, very beautiful .a house right next to a wonderful lake

  • put it to the top gun music!!!!!!!!

  • what plane is that?

  • wow there is a UFO in front of the sun!!!!

lol sorry i am just random sometimes

  • I think that it was a solar eclipse not a UFO! LOL

  • ur one of the government feed us LIE!!!

and a solar eclipse would cover up all the sun so ha it is a UFO

  • Nice flight and footage!!

  • Why is the moon black?

  • it's the sun, because it's too bright for the camera to focus on it. :-)

  • or is it because of a solar eclipse

  • ima try that one day

  • Would be nice if you had a live view on a screen connected to the camera. Would make it so fun

  • And even cooler if you had a computer that you could use as a controller (joystick etc) and cellular modem connection so you could fly the plane for several kilometers ;)

  • it looks like a slow stick

  • if you could some easy listening music over that, it would be really relaxing. Nice job!

  • Great job... Well done !

  • Thats what they use in the movies... RC with a camera on board to make good filmations

  • HA! REALLY INTERESTING ... thanks for your response ... now I am much more 'raised ... I was almost worried that it was a meteorite in a collision with the earth ...

  • solar eclipse?

  • hi guys very great leading!....but an question..what is it that spot on sun?.. relay stranger .... i never see this phenomenology.

  • It's classic overexposure on the CCD sensor of the video camera. The center of the sun is just too bright, causing the sensor to fail in those locations. This results in no data being returned from that area of the sensor, causing a black spot.

  • where you live?

    in paradise

  • Exellent landing!

  • may i ask, what kind of camera did you use?

Can you get it from a hobby shop?

  • Theres a little black spot on the sun today.

  • Reminds me of the song... "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden :D

I didn't know DV cameras suffered from that - looks like the brightness equivalent of signal attenuation in audio recordings.

  • Very nicely done! One of the best.

  • What's the black dot on the sun for? Did the camera put that there?

  • how fast was it going

  • what plane did u use

  • GWS Slow Stick

  • your a good flyer

  • Another good video WITHOUT an annoying reality dulling "musical" background.. I wish more folks

believed in the natural sound of the flight.

  • that was truly awesome! 5 stars!

  • is that live feed

  • Nope. Recorded on the plane. Viewed later after landing.

  • Its got beautiful views

  • That was a really cool video. Very Nice...

  • Set the controls for the black thing in the heart of the sun

  • 100 Points for this nice landing .Respect

  • Wow, awesome air control and landing. 2 thumbs up.

  • the next best thing to flying.

  • beautiful landing!

  • What kind of plane is it? He can fly it really smooth with total control. It glides even with the motor running.

  • GWS Slow Stick

  • great vid and i think its the best onboard ever!

And professional landing. What tipe of cmera did u make this video?

  • black dot?

  • sun

  • That was such a flawless landing too.

  • Beautiful Country side definately not Ca. Looks like you have tolerant neighbors nice flight.

  • Nice flight. +20 points for the STOL action. Just a smooth trip (no distracting aerobatics), the scenery nice and clear.

  • haha maybe you can use this for surveillance? lol like those military UAVs

  • dam id say this is the rich part of town

  • dang nice long range

  • thats pretty cool, ive always wanted to do this with a blimp or somthing that moves smoother than a plane and goes higher

  • wow, i just looked at the link, nice camera mount, I have never thought of having a mount that high.

  • yeah you get less vibrations, but I'm surprised to see how good the quality is! Is that a 2mp camera?

  • Aha, Man thats cool. I watched all of it. The mornings are such an awesome time to fly... Great!

  • aaaahhhh!!!! a black hole were gonna die

  • Man I"m impressed with your video. Very stable and you only show the ground. None of the plane is visable . . . . that's good. I"ve looked at alot of these RC videos and yours is one of the best.

I tried going to your link but it's not working.

I wanted to see your setup.

    Thanks,

    Terry in Texas

  • Beautiful scenery. Where did you your plane?

  • wouldn't it be great if you could buy a radio with a real-time video screen on it? It would be almost like being in the cockpit rather than looking up from the ground.

  • u can buy cameras with lcd glasses so u wear the glasses and see out of the camera. these are made for rc planes

  • whats the rare spot on the sun? xD

  • beautifull

btw, do you have a live stream to a screen on the ground?

  • No, I just fly it like normal. Then download the video from the camera after I land.

  • what did u attacht it with

  • I'm hungry

  • nice houses up in them thar hills

  • Did you see the ufo ?

  • nice sound and landing :)

  • nice! if you could blank out the buzzing of the engines using some sort of software and add some relaxing music this could be used as a relaxation video.

  • the houses look like toys, lego land but bigger

  • gotta say, nice view, nice ride, and nice landing

  • good work ! good tips are always wellcome and this one sure works fine. Nice vid.

  • do you buy the airplane with the video camera?
