George, the Cherokee CBS1000 has a vertical circuit board and the meters are mounted in the hole for it and frequency display is hard wired on that vertical board. there are micro holes for grains of wheat to be put in and soldered to either side of the hole. It would be a cinsh to modify the LED for the Cherokee.
Very impressed George. I have seen the prototype and it seems to be a versatile unit. Can you tell me for certain if this would work on the Cherokee CBS1000 meters and frequency display? Also, would this be suitable for the round meter of a Uniden Washington?
I also noticed that you have these as backlighting for your radio. That is a neat idea You have a versatile product with a very competitive price there. If ever I need to replace the lights of either radio I will be sure to contact you.
I would need some phptographs of the lighting setup in the Cherokee. The meters I would imagine willl be simple enough to sort out. The backlit display could cause a bit of puzzle solving to do. It can be done though. The Washington will be easy to sort out also. No problem man. I'm totally obsessed with LED type lighting, I am always playing with them and refining my ideas. Whenever you need lighting for any of your radios, Be sure to let me know.
