He was fantastic, funny and fierce!

Great footage, and its a shame we lost such great people. It is also a shame nobody outside of Indonesia ever achieved Pendekar Status in the family art while he was alive or even up till now. Hopefully we can keep these arts alive and some people will reach Pendekar level of understanding and keep growing as individuals and family as he had hoped. He had truly hoped to see Americans become very skilled in his families Silat.

Pak Herman onetime told me thatwhen he was young, after 6 years of learnin with Pak Herman Suherman. one day he went to class and Suherman atacked him beat him up smahed his head to the floor and told him be stay alert at all times.

the dance is Cimande Mande Muda and Pak Herman did CiIkalon dance but he also knows Sera.

The dance is "Paleredan", a traditional Sundanese Ibing. It's being performed by a Cimande master, and it contains elements of the major SUnda styles: Syahbandar, Cimande, Cikalong and Sera.
