I grew up here and moved in with family when I was 14. If I didn't, I would probably be dead or in prison. DJ, just stay away from the hill and probably mont pleasant now too, and you should be fine.
My dad is looking for a new job and one of them was in Schenectady and I wanted to know more about it, and this town has some seriously cool stuff. I don't want to move, but if I do, I hope it's here! HAHA

Schenectady isnt to be compared to another. it is a city of historical significance unto itself. It is located in The Mohawk Valley in upstate New York surrounded by beautiful wilderness. Also Schenectady is the city of electricity and the Lightbulb and TV and Radio and The Locomotive Train. Schenectady was once Great and it can become a Nice Place again if everyone does their part

I've lived in Schenectady since 1987, that's going on 22 years, and the city is overrun with murders, drug dealers, and corruption in the police department. The city is highly in dept, and no business in their right mind should open in around or in Schenectady.
It's Schenectady's Fault? or is it happening across this nation perhaps even? "Philly" is without any crime I suppose, as well as every other city in America. Perhaps The residents of Schenectady, The ones who care could do their part in helping to make Schenectady nice. Or should we let those who are corrupt and the drug dealers just continue on rule us? Your suggestions are as a victim's and this mentality is without hope or answers

Philadelphia?? You MUST be kidding, right? I live here and we call it Filthydelphia...Crime is out of control. There are some neighborhoods where you and I don't even want to stop at a red traffic light or you risk being robbed, or worse. The City of Brotherly Love is a joke.
