question. since you were in camp Pendleton in march.. and you said you were going home in april.. its april 30 where did they station you now? my bf is in north carolina now doing his MOS and dont know when he's coming back.

I'm majoring in finance so I would like to be a finance officer I know only 3-5% of Marine officers are finance officers but hopefully I can get that MOS. I definitely don't want to be a grunt I can care less if people say I'm a POG. But I do want to get some hard core training that's why I was to go with the marines instead of the Navy or chair force.
Do officers get it that bad? I've hear that when your new you get called bot all the time. But I have a good friend who is a Captain and he says officers get more respect I think hes a grunt though his MOS is logistics. Not sure what that is... You might know him he's in 29 palms not sure how big that place is over there.

@JDuWayne how long ago did you learn that you are going to afghanistan? and how do you feel about it? deep question, i know. and i can only imagine you've been asked this a lot. i guess i'm trying to prepare myself for the same potential reality later down the road. while i'm not combat it's been made clear that i have a highly deployable army MOS.
