It would be a good idea if all European countries adopted this ban... but I know that Politically correct countries like Holland and the UK will never do this, because their Governments are too scared of the Muslims rioting!
This is a very stupid approach, because it's like sealing up a pressure cooker, it's going to blow one day and the longer it boils the bigger the explosion.. better to let the Muslims know we won't tolerate their shit now!

@artistdigital No I disagree, it's exactly the same as the planning issue. If I want to build a 200 story building in the centre of Zurich, it will be turned down, no matter how much cash I have because it's unacceptable. Minarets are a sign of Islamic domination and they belong in Islamic countries. They do not belong in modern western cultures. It's not an issue of religion, I'm not saying mosques should be banned, I'll leave that sort of bigotry to Saudi Arabia.

@artistdigital Furthermore, if I know the Swiss, they would ban bell towers in Churches too. They disturb the peace and that is also one of the aims of a minaret, to send an imam to the top to ask the "faithful" to come to preyer.
I love the way people are so hypocritical. If I were to build a Church in Saudi Arabi with a big bell tower and ring it out load on Sunday morning, what would happen... and what the fuck is the difference between that and a minaret, on a Mosque in Switzerland?

Don't compare anything to Saudi Arabia, where 100% are Muslims, as is the sacred holy place to the entire global "Muslim community". Now you cannot build a church in a mosque! Can you? :)

@artistdigital YES that is right, Architecture is a sign of domination! If you don't believe me then you need to go look at some of the big cities in the world like Hong Kong and New York, where towering sky scrapers are and edifice to their creators power!
Churches and Cathedrals also played the same role hundreds of years ago. You say you can't build a church in a mosque, but Muslims certainly built Mosques in Churches, or rather they plundered them and took them over!
