@ZomexZododol well LoL is amazing but the lack of map variety and fixed camera really start to ruin the game for me after after a while. On the other hand the limited number of champions in DemiGods also makes me wonder about its viability to hold a large competative player base.

This game was a lot of fun, but there wasn't enough to keep me coming back to playing it over and over. I think that there could be a really nice game evolved from this, because the heroes that you can choose are very well designed and really allow for good team strategies. However, it just didn't have enough in it.

Luckily the graphics are good, and the map layouts are freaking sweet. The maps look amazing.

I would like to see more MOBA games built on this engine.

It is terribly unbalanced and the engine is buggy as fuck.. the Riot team doesn't care about balancing heroes even after years.. all they do is release new unbalanced heroes which cost 6300 points.. all they want is money...

But tbh i hate how some champs cost 6.3k...takes like 55 games to get that much money and every game is like 30-50 mins so thats like 2.200 minutes on average...

@RokuNoRaiden If you think there is no such thing as unbalanced, you clearly have never seen unbalanced. While you are right that in LoL (or most games) people who complain about imbalance could resolve it via skill - that doesn't mean unbalanced characters do not exist.

Some examples would be; Sagat in SFIIA or Time Walk from Magic the Gathering (and more famously, Black Lotus)

Having played it a lot I'd say the following:

It's slower than any of the other competitors, at least because of full zoom-out. I like the pace, others don't. It looks fantastic.

It's pretty much only supported through "patch-mods". Internet code has gotten better, but still isn't fantastic.

IMO the game suffers from the exact same thing SC2 does:

The actual gameplay is really good, but the service around it is terrible.

Difference is that SC2 has an audience, DG has lost all of it...

There are 10 heroes now, which is a lot less than HoN or LoL, but each hero has a lot more than 4 skills. So there is quite a bit of customization with each hero.

That's why Demigod failed so badly miserably ! They should give at least 30 heroes to make up for its lack of brand + lack of SP & they should make the MP work since first time since this type of game is definitely a MP oriented games, too bad.. poor variance, poor MP support, poor timing make this game failed miserably ! With just 8 demigod & few maps, this game will surely failed to attract any newbies or DoTA seasoned players to play this game, albeit maybe for testing, so sad...

League of Legends is much better, but thats extremely obvious. It has a huge player base. Heroes of Newerth is NOT free and to be honest, its not worth the 30 bucks. League of Legends is completely free and the perks can be bought with in-game currency (also with real money to boost it ofc, but if you have patience its completely free yet it feels like a paid game). I dont understand how there can be any discussion, at all, its just so plain obvious?
