its an indie film,its supposed to be 'mysterious',you cant give common explanation as'psycholgical problems' or 'strict parents',yeah they suffered,was it depression?depression as lack of serotonin,does it always have to be logical,and physical?its a mystery,get it.some people are just sad,melancholic,romantic if you like.living in their own special world,which is mention in the film and in the book,this world is just not good enough and fantasy takes over

I grew up in a "religious" family myself and, believe me, to commit suicide was the No 1 of my thoughts as a teenager... I am glad I prefered to run away instead... I feel so great compassion for these girls.. Can't help it !!!

Yes sorry that happened to you. but it just didn't seem like their life was so bad to be committing suicide. Now my childhood on the other hand was hell. Lived in poverty, in a ghetto city, had a crazy grandmother, was sexually abused, was picked on at school, had scoliosis, allergies, digestive problems. Hell i need to committ suicide cause life certainly isn't much better.

I had a pervert stepfather, a crazy grandmother, an alcoholic grandfather, an absent father, was sexually abused, poverty was also an issue... You could say where I grew up was kind of a ghetto... What saved me was the fact I realize very early that sometimes is better to make things on your own... I 've been working since 15 years old. And I tell you life can be beautiful ... WE ARE GONNA MAKE IT !!! Respect !
