truely that was rally (fun for the spectators!!!,school for the car manufacturers and ofcos the best fighting ring for the men(drivers)
we need to have it back!!! its loss has also brought the introduction of "plastic" cars...the the machines were hard and tough!!!! then..

I lived in Kenya from '82-89. Got to see this WRC rally and many of Kenya's local rallies every year. Lancia and driver Markku Alen were always some of my faves.
Anyways, those were the best years of my life, Kenya is a great country with great people and I miss them all. Must get back for a visit soon.

Please post a follow up video. I am greatly interested in this rally. This rally is the reason the Impreza WRX exists today! No joke, the Legacy did so well Subaru decided to create a lighter car for competition and that is how the Impreza came to be.

I hope there is a part 2 to this video. I remember this rally. I was there in Kenya spectating on this event.
