And to the below poster, all midi devices have a small amount of lag - it is a flaw of modern-day operating systems. Your cpu usage could be improved by increasing the audio buffer, lowering your mixer interpolation to 6-point hermite/linear, and by unchecking "Use polling" if you are using your primary sound driver. All of that can be found under options<audio. Hope that helps!
