i have a question,i have the dvd drive that dosent read the dvds or cds and my battery for my laptop is dead and my laptop is inspiron 1525 window 7 ultimate,im trying to save money for the replacement battery and the cd and the dvd hard drive,how much does it cost for a replacement?

my ad works at dell he can do everything he can buid the laptop with his eyes closed easy and my dad work in long island trust me you wont belive it but he is one of the best dell workers he does every thing he goes to peoples houses and fix theier dells and he get lots of money

you actually take the drive in and out with out shutting off the machine since windows reads it as USB try putting windows 7 RTM on it it kicks vistas ass since vista has 9000 things running in the background win7 on default has like 11 and try it with some games like I think HL2 will run on that

my dvd drive sounds just like your broken one but i can fix it just by reseating the disc.
