there is no comparison with a 2 stroke unless if its a 2 stroke too....the 2 strokes are only for one reason ... acceleration and nothing else but this awesome acceleration is too expensive and too dangerous ..
You're dreaming. A 2 stroke will out accelerate AND out handle a comparable 4 stroke... by a mile. More power. Less weight. Better handling. Where you get in trouble is you have to know how to ride it. The torque curves are different and you don't lug them the way you might on a big cc 4 stroke.
Sure you can. Somewhere on YouTube is an RD350 engine in a Ninja250. THe RD350 engine platform (if I am not mistaken) is what the TSS500 is built on top of.
But, LOL. Do you really want to wreck your ninja frame? The ninja frame might fold up like a taco after the first few times you flogged the throttle. Even if you reinforced it heavily... the bike will become just that... HEAVY. Too much steel!
@vvtheduckvv actually the ninja 250 frame is heavier than the RS500 frame is. But if your comment did make sense to anyone, they can upgrade there suspension. get it?
@powertoweight100 There is no Aprilia RS500 frame, only an RS250. That is what I said.about the Ninja 250 frame being heavier in weight, however it wouldn't make sense to put all of that power into that frame as it is just not as strong aor designed for the rigors of 5x the horsepower. The Ninja 250 frame probably won't handle it very well, expect something to break.
SO the 500cc makes 112hp, the 1100cc makes 250hp, what does the 1700cc or 2200cc make? Those could be insane. Based on hp/L the 1700cc would have about 380hp and the 2200cc would have almost 500hp. That would easily replace a Lotus Elise 1.8L,190hp I4 engine.
These guys are sick! I want one for a Datsun 240Z.
So 550hp and around 400lb-ft of torque. And it is lighter than the engine it will replace. That sounds good for a 2400lb 240z. In 5 years when I have some money that sounds like a good project car to me.
Geez way to overanalyze there biofotis. If you want to get really fussy, you would have to limit the comparison sample to a sub 1000cc liquid cooled twin.
The bottom line is 2 stroke feels different. In a very fun way... Very little compares to the rush of its power delivery. hmmm good times.. lol
I mainly posted to say great work to the developers. Had a look at your site and it looks like a great kit. I'm keen to see more vids. :)
Elle appartient a twostrokeshop, ceux qui l'ont mise au point, et l'apotre, il ouvre meme pas en grand et c'est le mécano, alors au lieu de dire des conneries, reste a parler sur msn avec des faux copains
great!.....is it possible to have some other videos about it?....I would be interested in buying one for track only but I need to know how it works.....
Since the very first beginning of your project I visit once a week your homepage regarding some news.
I want to express my biggest appreciation for your work! I am a real big fan and the more everybody works with for stroke-engines the more I like your master piece. Meanwhile the guys working with two stroke engines are smiled at please declass all!
I wish you the very best and the adequate success for the time, money and nerves youve spend for this magnificent project.
With a wet weight of 110 Kg and generating 112HP - way eclipsing the power of a 250 GP bike and with way more mid range torque, would a ZX10R stay ahead of one? Not a chance.
And on a track, the RS500GP will destroy GSX-R1000s, R1s et al with its much faster corner speed and superior power/weight ratio.
It will outbrake them. It will out-accelerate them. It will out-corner them. It will lap the 1000cc false-stroke 'Stuporbikes' and make them all look like silly back markers.
ok..lets compare it with a race 1000cc and not with stoke. Because this one has no electrics at all and no lights. You cant compare a 500cc 2 stroke engine with a 600cc 4-stroke.The right comparison is to test it with 1000cc. Lets race prepare a new modern 1000cc bike(remove unnecessary parts) and tune it a little bit and then compare it with this bike.
@twostrokeshop have you thought of going overkill with an inline 4 two stroke 1000 yet? a 200-240bhp showroom/track bike would be a good selling point for what you guys are capable of. actually this already is! im just saying that because i would love to see a bike like that built.
@twostrokeshop don't forgett 2-stroke engines with that much power with such little weight is hard to drive due to the way the engine delivers it's power. For a good reason it's called the big bang because the power usually kicks in in a moment, it's not a regular curve. So it might be faster in any way but you also have the balls to drive it to it's limits!
@3L3CTR0static 4 Cyl 500's still can produce a slightly linear curve in power, anyway, the only reason people buy a 500 2 stroke is to shit themselves every single time they open the throttle, whats the point if its predictable
Hi, nice bike there. I really love high-tec 2 stroke engines. However, I was wondering what the result would be if you compare your bike with a 1000cc 4T supersport 2009 model(like ZX10R, R1, etc) (if you havent already! and I mean in the track)
its a 2 stroke, blow ya 4 stroke out ya ass, lighter more power to weight, less moving parts, Power band, no linear build up of power, sounds like a gp bike, not a car. i'm all for it :) go TSS i want one. r1s are nice but i know what i prefer

thats why you use the rs250 frame... its a light aluminium frame but still sturdy enough to hold an engine as powerfull as what TSS has build!

I count your word for it. But have you test them? I mean you should test it with a 1000cc race bike without headlights and bits.
Also, I've read somewhere that you can get it on the road(legally). How much will it weight then?
And lastly, an onboard video showing the acceleration would be great!(to compare it with the others)
Thanks
