Seems to me our soldiers have crossed oceans to take on an enemy before. WWI, we went to France to participate in the trenches. WWII we went island to island, forcing a superior entrenched Japanese force out one by one. We are at our best when we are over seas. You can't speak for most of the young devil dogs out there saying that they don't end up staying in. They're an amazing fighting force, it's all up to the person whether they want to stay in or not.

I got out of the navy a year ago but watching this makes me want to renlist again my friend in the army who got out at the same time is already going back and my other friend who was in the marines is thinking same who knows i might just go back to the fleet again.
This video almost brought a tear to my eye. I cannot wait to enlist in the Navy and serve my frigign country and keep our freedom going, also i want to say RIP to all those who died in 9-11 and or foreign wars and affairs.

the best part of this movie was the part when all the CH 53 super stallions and such helicpter craft were coming in to deliver the men back home. the music, the tears, the slow-mo it all worked, it was great.

Just to point out a fact to odst0001, the only reason the Army and Army Air Corps were together in the first place is because they didn't have enough men, supplies, and planes in order to make a large enough force in order to call it the Air Force, yet. Today, we have an enormous amount of planes, supplies, and brave enough americans to make such a force.

No, they aren't. Yes they are both part of the Dept of the Navy, but then again so is the Coast Guard during a time of declared war. All 3 are separate uniformed services. If the Marines were part of the Navy, the Commandant of the Marine Corps would report to the Chief of Naval Operations, would he not? SEALs are to the Navy as Marine RECON is to the Marine Corps as Rangers, Green Berets, and Delta are to the Army.
I hate to say it HM but you are incorrect. Both the USN and USMC are part of the Department of the Navy, BUT the Marine Corps is NOT part of the Navy. Also, Coast Guard is to Dept of Homeland Security as the other 4 military services are to the Dept of Defense. Also the Coast Guard only becomes part of the Dept of the Navy in a period of DECLARED war (by Congress).

Marines do not always use amphibious landings, however that is their specialty. You know what? Why don't you look it up, or ask your instructors. If you really are in Marine ROTC your instructors should know.
MARINE ROTC? It's not even called that. It's the Marine Corp Officer Program and it is not an ROTC commitment as you would see with the Army or Air Force.
and also why do u think when the Marines are deployed off of the Amphibious attack ships the General who calls all the shots commands off of an LCC...which is a Navy comman ship...all this would mean that the Marine Corp is a branch of the Navy...

i was going to join the usmc but right off the bat they were going to demote me, I currently have E3, the marines would only give me E2, and they were going to dick me around in other ways, I come from working 200+ miles offshore, so the navy is the best way so i can get my licenses when im out, id be going to the usmc if they wouldnt demote me right off the bat.
They demote you in rank because as an E-3 you are not trained to be a fire team leader/Assistant Squad Leader. The highest rant out of Boot Camp is E-2. You will make E-3 in minimum time and grade(6 months). Do it, the change really is forever. USMC Vietnam

I am in the Navy and this still gives me goosebumps. With all the trash talk between Navy and Marine Corp. it doesn't mean crap when it comes down to the wire. We are One Team One Fight. Is it possible to lesson friction on cannon guns on a battle ship, when missile and cannon are made with high powered electro magnet material. Allowing less friction in between cannon and missile. What would be the degree of shot enhanced accuracy. Any ideas on this.

this video makes me laugh. i just got out of the navy(thank god) all it is isworking parties and cleaning stations. Sure there's a mission but all Junior sailors don't give a fuck! all the kakis are fatasses who drink coffee all day. I was in for 5 years in aircrew and it was bullshit! Everbody has a commitment in navy to not go to captain's mast or get caught at cheating on their wives and husbands. Maybe it was diff. back in the day but it has changed dramatically. Instead of jealousy, get another job, go to school and you get rich. Bear a burden. The world still comes to the US. You can always leave. If you stay, I suggest you read the constitution again, or take a gander at Lincoln, FDR and others.

Just to point out a fact to odst0001, the only reason the Army and Army Air Corps were together in the first place is because they didn't have enough men, supplies, and planes in order to make a large enough force in order to call it the Air Force, yet. Today, we have an enormous amount of planes, supplies, and brave enough americans to make such a force.

ummm the Marines are a part of the navy and under the control of the Department of the Navy they always have been, always will be they are not their own group they are the best of the best, from the navy, just the same as the army Rangers are to the army... and you don't seee people arguing about that... so just stop aruging bout it... No, they aren't. Yes they are both part of the Dept of the Navy, but then again so is the Coast Guard during a time of declared war. All 3 are separate uniformed services. If the Marines were part of the Navy, the Commandant of the Marine Corps would report to the Chief of Naval Operations, would he not? SEALs are to the Navy as Marine RECON is to the Marine Corps as Rangers, Green Berets, and Delta are to the Army.

I hate to say it HM but you are incorrect. Both the USN and USMC are part of the Department of the Navy, BUT the Marine Corps is NOT part of the Navy. Also, Coast Guard is to Dept of Homeland Security as the other 4 military services are to the Dept of Defense. Also the Coast Guard only becomes part of the Dept of the Navy in a period of DECLARED war (by Congress).

no dude do ur research they are still together...dude im joining the Marine Corp and am currently in Marine ROTC and our instructor is a 1st sgt. and we have 2 Navy instructors a Master Chief and a Lt. Commander and all we learn about is the Navy and USMC and the USMC is a branch off of the Navy dude, why do u think Marines do not have their own bases? why do u think they are deployed off of Amphibious assult ships by the Navy...

Marines DO have their own bases, they call em "camps"
Marines do fall under the Department of the Navy, so in a sense you are right, but they are merely seperate services with close ties (Marine Officers come out of USNA).
The General does not always command from an LCC...
Marines do not always use amphibious landings, however that is their specialty. You know what? Why don't you look it up, or ask your instructors. If you really are in Marine ROTC your instructors should know.

thing is they make it sound like they do everything but what about the Army and Airforce? A war cant be one without them. The Marines cant do everything with as much skill as a branch trained for that one field. Remember that the Marines depend on the Navy and the Navy hasnt seen very much combat in a very long time. Their just a floating missile platform and nothing more. Plus they are a troop transport for other branches. Go Army and Go Air Force!!

i was going to join the usmc but right off the bat they were going to demote me, I currently have E3, the marines would only give me E2, and they were going to dick me around in other ways, I come from working 200+ miles offshore, so the navy is the best way so i can get my licenses when im out, id be going to the usmc if they wouldnt demote me right off the bat.

They demote you in rank because as an E-3 you are not trained to be a fire team leader/Assistant Squad Leader. The highest rant out of Boot Camp is E-2. You will make E-3 in minimum time and grade(6 months). Do it, the change really is forever. USMC Vietnam

I am in the Navy and this still gives me goosebumps. With all the trash talk between Navy and Marine Corp. it doesn't mean crap when it comes down to the wire. We are One Team One Fight. We fight for the same cause; the freedom of our citizens and countrymen. I cant feel prouder than with my shipmates serving my country. Those who dont respect what we do can leave because those are the people who take advantage of their liberties and rights and don't respect those who risk their lifes for that.

Is it possible to lesson friction on cannon guns on a battle ship, when missile and cannon are made with high powered electro magnet material. Allowing less friction in between cannon and missile. What would be the degree of shot enhanced accuracy. Any ideas on this.

As a relative of Admiral Alfred Thayer Mahan and planning to do my tour of duty with the Air Force instead of the Navy, it makes me happy to see these videos that show what America is truley commited to. It also makes me sad to see the half ass sailors posting their mockeries of the Navy and our Armed Forces members. If you dont support the war, atleast support the troops.

this video makes me laugh. i just got out of the navy(thank god) all it is isworking parties and cleaning stations. Sure there's a mission but all Junior sailors don't give a fuck! all the kakis are fatasses who drink coffee all day. I was in for 5 years in aircrew and it was bullshit! Everbody has a commitment in navy to not go to captain's mast or get caught at cheating on their wives and husbands. Maybe it was diff. back in the day but it has changed dramatically.
