@Zorro3k6 alright thanks! That really does help a lot, I really appreciate it. You and MasterSoulWarrior really helped me out, though, I hope you won't take offense if I don't subscribe at first, I am once I get a personal one, so it won't be a mix, but I will subscribe once I do, also MasterSoulWarrior started up his Pokemon blue lp again, gonna go check that out, later!
@NineNotesKnives You're welcome. I won't be offended. I don't ask people to subscribe. If they want to subscribe, they will. I'd rather have them subscribe because they like my videos than me asking them to. Let me know if you need anymore help. Yeah, I saw he got started again. I'll watch it later as well. Good luck!
@NineNotesKnives No, it's not an internal card. If you look at it on Amazon, you will see it has it's own casing. Meaning the circuit isn't out in the open like it is for the internal card. It has it's own case and power source. I put it on my desk and connect it to my laptop via USB. The recording is taken care of by the software that comes with it. That's what I talking about earlier with external cards being available to use on Desktop computers and Laptops.
@NineNotesKnives Also, another little note about mine is that when you look at the picture, it's way too big to fit in a computer. Look up pictures of internal capture cards and you will see a big difference. Internal ones show the logic board and have unique ports to fit onto the mother board of a computer. External ones don't show the circuits and only have ports that won't connect directly to the mother board. Like USB for example, lol.
@Zorro3k6 your not insulting me, it probably was me, but I'm talking about the dazzle software not working. Also, how do you install the actual capture card into a laptop, that's what I was asking about, plus vista does suck.
@NineNotesKnives Wait a sec. Are you talking about physically installing the hardware into a computer? I thought you were referring to an external capture card. See there's the internal which you actually put in your computer and there's the external one which just connects through USB. Now I don't know what you are planning to do with your Dazzle now or what type you have, but if you are going to use an internal one, then I'm sorry. You can't install that in a Laptop.
@NineNotesKnives You see laptops are just motherboards with chips sets built in to run like an actual graphics card and stuff. There is no way you can use an internal capture card on a laptop. As for Dazzle, I've only seen external ones and assumed that's what you have. If it isn't, then sorry you'll have to buy an external one. The capture card I use is an external. It connects USB and you just run the installation disc on the computer. That's what an external Dazzle should do.
@Zorro3k6 not quite, the program like starts getting real glitchy then it pops up with the message "Pinnacle Studio has stopped functioning, searching for a solution" I've had to uninstall and reinstall the program a number of times and well I think I'm just gonna return it and get my money back. If it works on laptops and on windows vista, I may try it, although I only know how to install it on desktops and not laptops. Know of any videos on how to do it?
@NineNotesKnives Alright, That's strange. Well Vista sucks anyway. So perhaps it's just an issue with the software and the operating system. Uhhhh... I don't want to insult your intelligence, so I will try to say this in the nicest way possible. If I do insult you, then I'm sorry. Installing software to a Laptop is exactly the same as installing it to a Desktop. I mean they are both computers. You pop in the installation disc and follow the directions.
@NineNotesKnives The only difference between a Desktop computer and a Laptop is that the Laptop is portable and so the hardware is different. But the software is the same. So if you can install software to the desktop, you can install it to a laptop.
@Zorro3k6 your welcome, in the way I think, if somebody helps you, you help them, and well... that's the only thing I could think of, also I really do appreciate the advice, now my friend won't be too confused
@Zorro3k6 hey I'm the person RosarioFanpire was talking about, my only thing I want to ask about is if it's compatible with laptops, because I don't have a desktop, can't afford it, not enough money. Right now I have a dazzle DVC 170 platinum recorder (the dazzle is black) and, well the dazzle "seems" to work fine, it's the pinnacle software, I'm just trying to do some test runs to make sure it doesn't shut down on me and corrupt the file, any words of advice?
@NineNotesKnives The capture card I use works on any computer running Windows XP, Vista, and 7. It will not run on any other operating system. So yes, it works on Laptops. I use it with my laptop when I record a Let's Play. As for your Dazzle, what do you mean it shuts down? Are you saying that you run the software your entire computer shuts down?
@RosarioFanpire You're welcome. Yes, Audacity is a not only good, it's great. It's free, it's easy to use and they're new 1.3 version makes it so that if it crashes, you don't have to go through Hell just to recover the lost data. Like I had to do so many many *teeth clench shut* many times with the 1.2 version. Anyway, hope that helps. :)
@RosarioFanpire Hmmm, that's weird. If it's something to do with the actual recording and playback, there could be a problem with the actual device or perhaps the settings of the software. I'm not sure though since of course I don't have it. NintendoCapriSun uses it I believe. Good luck trying to talk to him, lol. I use an AVerMedia HD DVR. wwwDOTamazonDOTcomSLASHAVERMEDIA-AVERTV-Tuners-Capture-C874SLASHdp/B004VEKS76SLASHref=dp_ob_title_ce That's the newer model of what I have.
@RosarioFanpire In case the link is confusing, AVERMEDIA AVERTV HD USB DVR TV Tuners and Video Capture C874 Sleek Black. That's the name of it. You can just copy that into amazon. You'll find it. The problem with going what I did is this capture card is very expensive. But that's the trade off. If you want a good capture card, you got to spend lots of money. It took some getting use to, but I like the one I have. I have figure out how to work it, so it's great.
hey, do you know about dazzle capture cards? My friend is having some difficulty with his, I asked MasterSoulWarrior and he said to ask you cause you'd may know more about it
@RosarioFanpire What kind of trouble is your friend having? I don't use Dazzle since I've only seen ones for standard definition and I like to record my Let's Plays in HD. But the basic idea of the Dazzle is rather easy. It connects via USB to the computer. There should be some software that you have to install on your computer to use it. Then you plug in your system to the Dazzle, run the software, and you should be able to record from there, using the software of course.
@Zorro3k6 alright thanks! That really does help a lot, I really appreciate it.
