Nba 2k is more in depth. That's been proven. Live has more of a arcade style which is what everyone likes. There both solid games. No game can be better or worse.

I've played both games. I've played mostly Nba Live perhaps due to being spoonfed the game though. I came across Nba 2K and have to say despite a very small tiny glitch here and there that Nba 2K is way better than Nba Live on all fronts. It's the little things. The fact that the tattoos on the players don't look like they've been plastered on the players and that they sweat. Looks great. And the crowd, the coach and the subs react much more realisticly than anything else I've seen.

Live been dead since 07...the only decent one was 09 and that still didnt do anything to 2K. The problem is Live was initially created as more of a arcade-ish pick up and play type game where 2 people can just jump into the action. 2K is truly a game of mastery and if you take the time to truly master the physics and gameplay of 2K, no one can say that it doesn't have the most realistic feel. Yes there minor flaws in 2k (comes with every game) but compared to Live's animations...no dice at all
@bobbitog If you're really looking at Live 2010 closely you'll see that its presentation/animations look more realistic. Live 2010 was a turning point for the series. The game play is more sim like and realistic then 2k10 IMO. Live was a better sim basketball game then 2K for 2010 IMO and it only gets dogged because 2K has been so much more popular then Live over the years. I think if you take a closer look EA really made a better game.

NBA 2K would be so much better if it was possible to play defense in the paint. That's one aspect where NBA Live is better than 2k. Live you can't just run into the paint or else the ball will get stolen. In 2K when you play idiots on line they just keep spinning and spamming the right trigger until they're under the basket and get an easy layup. Anyone in the game can score once they are right under the hoop. 2K needs to improve help defense and zone defense problems to stay ahead of NBA LIve

Why are people saying 2k' s graphics are better???? There guys look like there all fat and puffy or somthin and there faces don't match very well...I have both and play both but it's obvious that live has better graphics. Live goes into way more detail, I mean just watch how Nash shoots a fade or how he dribbles in live compared to 2k10, each players style is much more realistic in live.

why does nba live suck so much ? honestly have any of you noticed that no matter the players speed rating they are all the same fucking speed ? i have lost all respect for nba. i honestly feel like nba live on ps2 was better than it is now. it has gotten signifcantly worse over the years.

nba 2k10 has way too many issues: glitches, no pressure in the paint, no control over your player in myplayer, online servers.

Live been dead since 07...the only decent one was 09 and that still didnt do anything to 2K. The problem is Live was initially created as more of a arcade-ish pick up and play type game where 2 people can just jump into the action. 2K is truly a game of mastery and if you take the time to truly master the physics and gameplay of 2K, no one can say that it doesn't have the most realistic feel. Yes there minor flaws in 2k (comes with every game) but compared to Live's animations...no dice at all

@bobbitog If you're really looking at Live 2010 closely you'll see that its presentation/animations look more realistic. Live 2010 was a turning point for the series. The game play is more sim like and realistic then 2k10 IMO. Live was a better sim basketball game then 2K for 2010 IMO and it only gets dogged because 2K has been so much more popular then Live over the years. I think if you take a closer look EA really made a better game.

NBA 2K would be so much better if it was possible to play defense in the paint. That's one aspect where NBA Live is better than 2k. Live you can't just run into the paint or else the ball will get stolen. In 2K when you play idiots on line they just keep spinning and spamming the right trigger until they're under the basket and get an easy layup. Anyone in the game can score once they are right under the hoop. 2K needs to improve help defense and zone defense problems to stay ahead of NBA LIve

First of all, he's not even a producer. Second of all, he was hired away from Visual Concepts by EA for Live 10 but returned to Visual Concepts to help make 2k11... So yeah, it's 2k who stole EA's guy and not the other way around...

Why are people saying 2k' s graphics are better???? There guys look like there all fat and puffy or somthin and there faces don't match very well...I have both and play both but it's obvious that live has better graphics. Live goes into way more detail, I mean just watch how Nash shoots a fade or how he dribbles in live compared to 2k10, each players style is much more realistic in live.

I've played both games and NBA 2k10 is the better game as far as being realistic. first off...yao ming has been dunked over. numerous times. nba 2k10 takes a different kind of strategy. its not simply about switching to defend whoever has the ball. the computer sets screens and runs plays on its own. that you have to adjust and consider. its definitely the more realistic game.
