I think teachers may find it easiers to reach kids using their role models I think the video by D'Mite is brilliant and is in use in namibian shcools it has inspired my cousin to read a bit more and brush his teeth
For once someone decided to step down from the "I AM SO FUCKING MIGHTY" stage and decided to help out.
great i loved it. i love to read. i love ur skin colour. we all have our own opions and skills. i love the fact that we are all different but hate it that some white people are abusolate DICKS.
wow..u have alot of books...lol...thats wassup...this songs was nice...forreal..we need more positive music like this to got mainstream...it sad how some people glorify ignorance and not reading...like its "koo"
That's an amazing book collection, may i also suggest (if you don't already have them), BIKO by Donald Woods & Long Walk To Freedom by Nelson Mandela.
I just saw Young Jeezy's "White Girl" video 4 hours ago. Unfortunately it was right before I went on the radio at a station. They wanted to talk about "Read a Book" and all I kept saying was fuck Jeezy and Def Jam, and Sean Carter. Watching Jeezy's video completely ruined my night. I had planned on finishing a song I'm writing dedicated to my children and had lost my concentration and inspiration. Long story short, thank you, I needed this.
Seems to a be a preference for history/biography/autobiography...that's cool but was surprised to not see much (any?) literature, considering that's where so much of the texture and nuance of diasporic black experiences is conveyed. You get down with the fiction as well?
LOL, I'm exposed! Those three are at the top of my list, and yes I have fiction. I will address that in another video if you would like. But for the record my favorite is "Queen Of Harlem".
I really love this video, can you give me the titles the books u recommended the most, some of those books I never clearly saw the title and im very interested in reading them!
I liked this video!

I hate the fact that any people are ever DICKS. Skin color has nothing to do with it.

Is that song by D Bomani? If not, then I would like to find the album, and artist. That was a great video, by the way!
