The band was formed in Vegas, Kim and I had been out all night I said I was going to try out for this gig on bass so off we went. When I got there I was handed a chart, said I couldn't read a note and they said goodbye. Kim K. said he could and asked to use my 100$ Violin bass he was fresh out of the Army .A few songs later they hired him on the spot. I gave him that bass and the rest is history, We all moved to LA in the late 60's Those were the days!
