This might of already been mentioned and also I am aware the child had mental emotional issues,but coming from experience In order to be able to get an orphan out of the country some agencies put false info about the child such as a mental issue or a development problem..but also that was still very wrong of her

The new parent should first be vetted and the adoption agency must reveal ALL information on the child. Don't hide the child's mental problems. That way a new parent can be trained to handle the kid's emotional problems so the child will feel safe and happy.

This little boy must have been adopted by now. I hope so and hope he's happy.

Though Berlitz777 is quite rude and went way too far, it is true that the American family that try to adopt the boy was lied to. There are families who feel led to adopting children with disabilities, but some families are simply not up to the task. The adoption agency they went through told the family he was a perfectly healthy boy and lied to them about his background.

Though this is extremely rough on a child, the family had every right to send the boy back.

If this family was not forewarned about how to handle a child like this, I absolutely defend her. If our news was incorrect, then I retract my statement; but this is how it was told to us.

I agree. If she wasn't up to the challenge, she should not have the boy. It's so important to stop lying about a child with emotional problems, just to get them adopted.

New parents must be fully informed and properly trained to handle a problem child. There is always hope a child can grow up happy and mentally healthy. :-)

That's awful, I think adopted children should be treated like biological children; you can't send or give biological children back you shouldn't be able to do that with an adopted child either. If you don't want the responsibilities and obligations that parenting entails don't get pregnant and for GOD SAKES don't adopt a child!
