You dont need a mini mushroom at all! Watch 1:03. Look at the blocks in upper left. You can hit the 3:rd one counted from right. Its a vine inside. Dont listen to this guy.

u can also do it without mini mario or mini luigi

cause if u hit a box below a plant wil get to that zo you can climb to it
