Another really nice way to get out bubbles is to get a credit card, or a gift card and put it on its side ( landscape) and with slight pressure, run it down the screen of the phone or iPad. It works great
Not sure if anyone ever mentioned this in this thread, but one of the best ways to avoid debris getting under the screen protector is to apply it in the bathroom after running shower for a few minutes (it pulls the duck out of the air and gives you "clean room" of sorts for a short period of time). If that is not possible then mist the air with a spay bottle of water and apply it on a table that is freshly wiped down with a wet cloth.
i prefer the invisible shield from ZAGG they are very reliable and if you get any fingerprints on it they will just dissolve away and it doesn't have a really bad glare and it is incredibly strong.
thanks for the tips. i wouldnt have ever thought to use scotch tape haha. i just installed my screen protector and its pretty much flawless. thanks again.
i just did an ipad power support screen shield install. one thing you might want to add that can cut down on the lint, especially in the ipad, is a can of compressed air. just spray it RIGHT before applying the shield and it cuts down a lot of the lint bubbles.
Very cool video if you ask me,actually takeing the time to explain that this SS install is easier than you may think, most ppl say that it's to hard to carry out and bother with when ive asked as to why no protection ?,I also agree that time should not take presidence when installing, patient's is the key in my experience,Great video Mike,Good job :)
Great video concept Mike! I've never tried the tape, but I do use compressed air and the microfibers! I'm gonna use the tape trick to go install my SGP CC on my iPad!
I also like to use a can of compressed air to blow away dust. I think your concerns over the liquid based protectors are completely unfounded. I've never, ever heard of someone having a water indicator issue after using one. These devices have higher tolerances than you give them credit for.
@larrygreenberg That's fine. I said there's nothing wrong with them. If I can get good results without using liquid, it's my preference, which is why I demo'd the static protectors.
As far as I know, there are no liquid sensors where I'm talking.
@wwwinsanelygreatmac Oh absolutely, my point wasn't to say one's better than the other just that fear of damaging ones phone from the liquid probably isn't something to be concerned about. I like the static ones as well.
great video definely helpfull and the tipp with the tape is just great was it your idea? oh and i really like the design of the speck screen protector

Excellent info. I wish I'd seen this before I threw away my first screen saver. I could have saved it easily with the scotch tape idea.

I like the static ones because you can take them off down the road and clean them and reinstall. I'm liking those SGP silicone ones though.
