This man is an enigma, one of the best singers and guitarists ever. Saw him once in Glasgow Barrowlands. One of the best concerts I have ever been to.
I have been following Robert and his music for years , he is my favorite blues man. I have seen him seven times and tomorrow will be number eight at the ridgefield playhouse in CT. I really love his early stuff like porch light phone booth and many others i miss the Memphis horns who played with him. time goes on and things change but Robert is always steady you can always count on him for a solid performance Robert is the blues and has played with all the greats god bless Robert Cray
like eric clapton humbly says it...for the BLUES.. Robert Cray .the keeper of the flame .. imo the band members change and the new cd disappointing .. yeah i have seen all the drums Tony Braunagel has and heard his credentials..the self-important Richard Cousins ...IT'S EASY TO PLAY THE BLUES BUT IT'S HARD TO FEEL THEM!!! the former players..:Kevin Hayes and Karl Sevareid are sorely missed .. and Robert has begun dyeing his hair to appear/appeal to a target market..kinda sad he used to shine
Few artists are better live than in the studio but I believe Mr. Cray has it down!! There's no one like him. Always consistent, voice is incredible, mastery of his guitar, just outstanding. Truly an exceptional performer.
I've now seen Mr Cray four times in Glasgow,he is a ''one off'' ,no one comes close and to stand within just 3 feet from(barrowland) him and listen to that talent is just incredible!
Will you think of me? Will you think of me? One last big hug One last good cry One last kiss And then I'll say goodbye You won't get rid of my love With no damn headache pill Oh, the hurt might leave you, baby But I never will When this love is done When the new ones come
The Lyrics You think this world belongs To you, my love That's where you're wrong I've always know that Consider yourself lucky You got the best of the deal How could you grow so cold And tell me that's how you feel? When this love is done When the new ones come
Wow, such unbelievable playing & vocals. What a great song too. I love Robert Cray, one of the greatest blues players alive today. So unique.Take a look at his backing musicians too, especially the drummer - fabulous stuff. Thank you for this video.
I was lucky enough to see Robert Cray live dozens of times in Eugene, Oregon back in the 70's when he was just starting out. I knew he was something very special and now the world knows it too. I feel priveleged to have seen him live so many times in small venues. Never get tired of his music!
OREGONBEKKI,isn't he awesome live?He actually sounds as good or better than on DVD.I saw him at a small venue in Indiana last year and I was just blown away at how great he still is. Every song seems to tell a story, and his emotions come out in his playing and facial expressions.I lOVE ROBERT CRAY XX
Yes, his voice is amazing and so full of emotion BUT, this man is the rare triple threat...writes, sings and plays amazingly! I live where Robert Cray started his career and saw him live dozens of times-he was always great!
Robert Cray could sing from a telephone directory and still bring a lump to your throat-hard to believe this great man doesn't have an official DVD available, thank goodness for You Tube...great posting!
It's amazing how Robert Cray can convey his emotions through his songs, one of the greatest guitarists but even greater story teller I've ever heard! You can feel what he's saying I love it! Thanks for posting this!
