I did a LOT of research on on leaf blowers on professional landscaper websites as well as available consumer reviews. RedMax backpack blowers rated above all others by most professionals. I purchased a RedMax EBZ 7001 on Ebay and it is EXCELLENT! I have a huge lawn surrounded by hardwoods. This blower is incredible - it cuts my job in half. It will blow HUGE piles of leaves - even wet ones with ease. Usually cranks cold on second pull after priming. Reasonable weight, comfortable. I love it!
bought one three years ago still running like new switched over to red max when echo went to shit with new ceo's great idea to cut quality and sell to big box stores. also bought red max trimmer forget model but it is the one with the 6" head no handle bars the strap is the best I have ever used with a regular grip and it will cut thru saw grass with a three foot base it is a lawn mower on a stick. only complaint I have ever had with either is the weight , but both out perform others 2:1
For this model, one bottle of 50:1 2-cycle oil is mixed with one gallon of gasoline. Your model's mixture may vary. Check your owner's manual for all information. Thanks for the question. Other questions are welcome here or at my email address located in the description.
add 2.75 ounces of air-cooled 2 cycle oil per gallon of gas for most 2 cycle lawn equipment; some lawn mowers like the old lawnboys you add 4 ounces of oil per gallon

I agree NayNay352. I own 2 Stihl BR 600's and don't think anything could possibly be better than them.

i have one of these and it is strong as hell but also its heavy as hell!!!i also have a 7100 and its a whole lot lighter and it blows just as strong.
mlm71landscape 3 years ago
its nowhere near as strong; you've obviously never used both for a cleanup; for mowing the 7001 and 8001 are about equally effective

i'd so love to own that and just get in cart and go down the street with that running
