  • where the hell you get that frickin solar oven?

  • @TheMrWray I added a link to the sun oven website in the video description.

  • Hi,

thanks for showing us that its possible to bake bread with a solar oven.

I have one question do you put plastic foli on the bread in you put it in the solar oven.

Because I see that you put it on the doug but dont know if you put it just like that in the oven.

  • @LetsCook2gether:

No, I don't cook with the plastic wrap on. I made the bread dough just before going to bed at night. In the morning (around 04:30) I punched the dough down and put it in the pan with the plastic wrap to protect it. Then I drove about 4hours to the property and the solar oven. During the drive the dough rises again. Just before putting it in the oven I take the plastic wrap off.

  • Excellent! Thanks for encouraging us to cook with solar and showing that it can be done in cold weather!

  • Nice!!!!

  • thanks for your vids.

I've never reach such temperature in solar oven.

    Bravo from Mic (France)

  • Nice vid! I have never seen a solar oven like that before... where did you score that? Are they expensive??

    Erok

  • Hm, third try at a response; sorry if this is a duplicate:

Our friends bought this for us at their daughter's school auction. Look up 'Sun Oven' on the 'net for details. It looks like they are about $200.00 new. It's awesome, I love it. I also made a beef stew with it while I was up at the property. I let the stew cook for about 3 hours and it averaged about 325 degrees.
