Bear Heart drew people from all over the world, both because they had read his book and because he was a wonderful teacher. I was fortunate to receive his blessing before I went out on my first vision quest. There are some people who look at you, and others that look into you. Bear Heart was one of the latter. He sent me out with one word: "balance". The desire to live that, is one that I will carry to the end of my life.
