Thanks for sharing! Always good to see color footage from WWII. Only wish it was in hight rez, but I'm not complaining. Those P-47 guys really knew how to fly low.

Hi Mike - I would be amazing in hi-res! It is amazing how low they flew. Those ground attack missions must have been very hair raising and dangerous indeed. I can't imagine the courage it took to go back day after day and take the risks these gentleman faced.

Ahh the good ole Jug. I have to say I'm more a P-51 fan but you gotta tip your hat to the guys who got the job done with the P-47.

Hi Jay - The P-51 is a great plane, that's for sure. Along with the Spitfire, probably the most beautiful lines of any of the planes in the war. For some reason, I've always loved the planes that had to fight against the odds early in the war, the Hurricane, P-40 and the Hellcat.

@indigosmoke1 Yeah ya gotta like the rooting for the little guy. I had forgotten about the hellcat. That was a cool one.

I've got some footage of a B-17 that was at an air show near me last year. I should dig it up and post it.
