  • Oh my fucking god this is AMAZING!!!! Do people die from this tho? And when you do this as a teen i heard that your chrst still gorws so what doe it look loke 10 years later?

  • People please I beg for your help.

I have PC and it has gotten me the lowest of self esteems.

My dad doesn't wanna help me, he keeps telling me there is no fix for my chest. That I should get over it.

    I know he is wrong.

Can someone who has had a brace please tell me if it really helps? How much time did you wear it? Where did you get it from?

Or should I go for surgery? I'm willing to even pay with my own money and I'm just 15 years old. I would do anything to just end with this!

  • @Lollipop96Pop well for the dad situation you could just show him this videos and some others, and i believe the brace works but i had surgery then the brace, i am very happy with my results, and if none of that works try and bulk up so it isnt noticeable, best of luck

  • @noteboomable was the surgry pain full ? have you still got the scar and how is looking now ?

  • @Lollipop96Pop uh yah. talk to your dad.l but dont get fat to hide your fuckin chest...i dont know if thats responsible advice...

  • have you still got the scar and how long ago did you have the surgery?

  • Was it swollen after the surgery?

  • I am really nervous I am going to have the surgery in a few weeks. Is there anything I sould know before I go?

  • @zipflame well for me they inserted an iv in the arm before getting put to sleep, 5 hours later you wake up with catheters in you and feel some pain when waking up. they place a metal bar inside so nothing will sink in the chest. i stayed in the hospital for 6 days, but you will be put on heavy narcotics and medicine to feel less pain, the recovery is not that long and you will be fine, my operation happened almost 2 months ago and im doing great. hope things go good for you =D

  • @zipflame Im really confused atm.. I got the "clearance" i bet you can say that i had to choose about a surgery.. And i dont really know what i should do? I live in Sweden. And the closest way is Denmark or Germany... Im really worried.. Know anything about it yet?

  • Hey, that looks really nice. I'm just curious how do they repair that? i mean, i've had operation for my pectus excavatum, they pop it out. But how do they return chest back in? :D

  • i have it too man but it isnt noticable at all,the problem is i want to compete in fitness championships and mine is not severe at all i just dont want it ,the only problem is the scar its rly noticable ,he said he cant do it below my chest instead but still its noticable,i thought of a tattoo but i dont like the spot there so ,anyone knows if the scar fades after years?

  • nice except for the scar!!! I have it too but don't really care about it. I might get it changed but we will see in the future.

  • i had mine done recently and i am 19 year old with autism. it was a hard operation but i am getting better, hope it went well for you

  • I have it too I'm 15 and from ky I want this procedure done ASAP any tips

  • hi boteboomable how long were you in hospital for after the operation? is the recovery painful? did you have to have a catheter inserted? did you need an epidural?

  • @steven9444 the recovery wasnt very paingul for me but i have very high pain tolerance, i was in the hospital for 4 or 5 days and i had a catheter and an epidural

  • @noteboomable hi thanks for the reply I was due to have this operation for free on the NHS in England but I got nervous and cancelled it the day I was due to be admitted to hospital.

  • how big is the scar now? how long ago did you have the surgrey ? how bad was your pectus ?

  • how is that scar looking now? a lot better? also how was the cost?

  • @awe2ome it is still very noticeable, but you can buy scar patches and stuff to make it less noticeable, but i like the scar so i just let it stay how it looked, and i have insurance that covered it, if yours needs a reason to cover it tell them you have trouble breathing and pain while exercising, a cosmetic reason for getting surgery is not covered by health insurance

  • @noteboomable alright man i will look into it.

  • May God bless you! Be happy, healthy, and enjoy life to the fullest! :)

  • @tatolexis12 Thats cool but now my chest is gettig much worst now :(

  • @tatolexis12 Dude i got this at the moment i dont when i am going to have surgery but i am glad that i am not the only one with this :)

  • Hi how old were you when you had the surgery

  • i see. Thanks, your replies are meaningful to me. Thanks dude

  • @Thegreatziyi youre welcome

  • hey i want to get the surgery, but i dont know what method should I use!! there is a operacion called NUSS surgery at the childresn hospital, but i belive yours is better!! what was the name of the surgery and in what hospital did you make it?? if you can geve me any information would be great

  • @mandradel1 i went to alder hey as im only 14 they go up to 16s in that hospital and im not sure about the name but it was classed as reconstructive surgery i believe.

  • is it dangerous and painful?

  • i had the surgery for this where they cut the ribs away from the sternum but i also had to have my sternum split as my chest was twisted therefore my scar looks like a big cat mouth that goes from one side of my chest to the other but i got on with it in the hospital and was out in 6 days

  • @TheFreakonaleash85 do you like how your chest turned out to?

  • @noteboomable yes its a lot better than it was. it is straight and over time once i have built up some muscle and the scar has faded it will look a lot better.

  • @TheFreakonaleash85 how much does it cost for a surgery

  • @Thegreatziyi well im british and so it was free

  • @TheFreakonaleash85 o0, cool. Britian Healthcare is good, unlike singapore. But do you think putting on braces will have the same effect as operation? ;)

  • @Thegreatziyi my doctor said no as it only bends the ribs and you need to have it on permanently for upto 3 years whereas this has instant results and isnt to painful as you are on morphine and whatnot it also reduces the pain if you just get on with it and dont moan and have it done sooner rather than later im 14 and i was out in 6 days whereas the person who had the op before me and wasnt as bad but was the same age moaned about it and was only out in 2 weeks

  • what was the surgery called? and how long is it in the hospital??

  • Those results are pretty much perfect, about how long did it take after your surgery to get back to being active with minimal pain? Also, about how much did your surgery cost? I want to get surgery done, I have it on one side only very similar to how you had yours.

  • @chicanoblvd uh maybe four months? and i dont know i had insurance but i think it was one to two thousand for what we had to pay

  • @noteboomable Cool, about how long till you started lifting weights again? 4 Months as well? I like to lift weights and my PC is keeping me from achieving the physique I want, when I do get the surgery I want to get back in the gym asap.

  • @chicanoblvd 2 maybe three months for me

  • @tatolexis12 why?

  • @SLUbermensch sorry for the late reply, yes i have

  • did you have a chest drain like i did? and an epidural? my scar is goes across my chest, i have to have it redone though because it has partially grown back

  • @samjl4 yeah i had both, and thats not good, the doctor told me there was a chance it would, mine hasnt yet but i also have been lifting weights quite a bit so i dont know if that helps out or not

  • did you really keep the brace on all day? i have one and cannot keep it on all day, it is so uncomfortable and painful. did you ever get used to the pain? because i'm constantly taking ibuprofen. it's also very obvious in tight women's clothing so that sucks but i can't find a comfortable position to sleep in, plus it moves around when i'm sleeping. any suggestions?

  • @Liney516 i kept it on all day yes, i have a high pain tollerance however, i recommend you push through the pain it wont hurt for very long, and when i slept i slept on my back and moved my head to where it would be if i was laying on my side, this helped alot, i was told i had to sleep on my back though so just do what your doctor told you, and you need to tighten the brace on all sides to where it doesnt move

  • I get this surgery on Wednesday, did u get a catheter? How did it feel to wake up from the surgery?? But most important, did u get a catheter???

  • @LukasFromMiami yes you get a catheter, you dont feel it getting put in but u feel it getting pulled out, and i felt pretty good, aside from the fact that my pain wasnt managed well because the epideral wasnt put in my spine right so i felt every bit of the pain, im sure they wont make the same mistake with you though so dont worry

  • Is it like huge and weird? Did you go out with it?

  • @andrewstutz1 i could wear it under a shirt, i wore two shirts so i had no chance of it being seen, if anything it makes you look bigger

  • Hey when you had the brace, did you have to wear it all day for a month and a half? Or only at night? Or whatt

  • @andrewstutz1 the only time i could take it off was when i showered,

  • How much does it cost? thanks :D

  • @TheMrAwesomeDx i dont really know my health insurance paid for it

  • Hey I have this, but the doctor acted like it was no big deal...so did your doctor like say something about it and you needed the surgery or did you just choose it so the bump wouldnt be there any more.

  • @Robito555 well if you have it you probably know the stress you have mentally when you take your shirt off when your around people.. and itcan get progressively worse as you grow older i was told, i really wanted the surgery also because it hurt

  • Thx man. I'm kind of scared of this surgery though. But anyway, thanks for the help

  • @LukasFromMiami no prob, its worth it tho

  • I have a few questions. I have pectus carinatum and I'm getting surgery this summer. How is the surgery? How long after the surgery can u play sports? Does ur chest hurt when you wake up from the surgery? Is the surgery worth it?

  • @LukasFromMiami the first one i will answer is if the surgery is worth it, ABSOLUTLY it is so great, and the surgery is painful if you arent sedated correctly, i have a high pain tolerance so i can't tell you when you should ask for painkillers but i recommend that if you feel some pain ask for them and slowly get off of them during the hospital stay. and it shouldnt hurt when you wake up because you will most likely have high sedation and it depends on what sport you play

  • hey i have this too, was just wondering how you got your doctor to do it. mine said to me that i shouldnt get it done cause its not worth it. But fuck it would be worth it. i hate the fucking thing!

  • did they have to like break your ribs

  • @GOWnH3best sorry for the late reply, yes, a couple

  • Yea laughing and coughing too. How long did it take to stand up straight? And how long did it take for those strips on the stiches to fall off?

  • @UnsungHero17x oh yeah that was a problem, uhm i forced myself to stand straight but it could take a while, and my doctor told me i was allowed to wash them when i shower so when i showered the water made me able to peel the strips off, the stitches are most likely disolvable also

  • @UnsungHero17x i have scoliosis so i have never really "stood up straight" but i think it was a month or so, and you can wash them i believe, i asked my doctor

  • I just had my surgery and was wondering if you had a hard time standing up straight too?

  • @UnsungHero17x yes i did, and intense pain when you sneeze too?

  • Im 15, and i fucking hate the damn thing. does surgery really work? because im already scared shitless of surgery.

  • @AvenueEmpire yes

  • How long was the hospital stay??

  • @UnsungHero17x five days because i had to get fitted for a brace, this surgery was during summer, it is definitely something you should do towards the end of school if not during summer but the brace was on for a month and a half and after i had it off everything looked like it does now

  • oh i see.... is it true that you can do any exercises or weightlifting for a year? thats what the doc told me

  • @icemanfan94 i weightlifted after a couple months like maybe two or three i wanna say?

  • could you explain the procedure that they did? just curious because your results look great

  • @icemanfan94 they basically just found the area of my sternum that was messed up (which was half of the entire sternum) and broke it and re set it
