@antigrit No, any Android device that has a magnetometer can do it. Mostly newer Android phones come with the magnetometer and can do this.

Yeah, it is pretty sweet, I don't know the name but download the Background App from the market and there look for the most populars there you can find it. By the way you should try the cyanogen Mod with the Darkstar Theme its the best I've tested so far for Magic.

I have the metal detector on my Hero. You have to be RIGHT next to the metal for it to work. Like literally put the metal on your phone...

@slimsanta93 mine beeps when it's close. I have a samsung galaxy spica. I located some metal brackets in my wall with it and it was spot on lol. Was it a fluke? I didn't even believe this app would work, but it did. :D

I bought it on ebay it was really cheap but now I'm using a black rubbered one wich protects the phone better and doesn't look bad.

i just got my new g2 and in]m lovin it.The tuchscreen is the same as the iphones and u can get lots of apps from android market

This sucks. Why did they have to come out with the G2 so soon? I know I'm not buying it unless I'm able to get rid of my G1 (damn 2-year contract).

Would you like no other choice for 10 years but just one phone? By the way I have mine for two months and they already released a new one the HTC Hero and as you can see I'm not whining about it.

Just go to your home screen, press the MENU key, then go to Security & Location and there you just need to check Require pattern.
