MOST NOTABLE is that "voter registration fraud" is NOT the same thing as "voter fraud." There are very, very, very few cases of voter fraud. And no lame "registrations" have turned into actual fraudulent "votes."

It's so clear that the right-wing spin on this is far off. ACORN had some bad employees who worked the system, just as our corporate elite do every day. That's it. ACORN was not "conducting" voter registration fraud. Some employees were. ACORN reported it, by the way.

#1 My theory: We've learned ACORN hires homeless & drug-addicted people off streets; they need to meet a quota to get paid. #2 Thinking about the various angles; it doesnt make sense for die-hard Dems not working for ACORN to bribe coz Dems already know ACORN is out there to get the other Dems to register. If ACORN is guilty of fraud, then authorities have plenty of time to seize their fraudulant registration forms and shut down operations prior to the election. That being the case, then there shouldn't be a problem with the election results, Right?

This IS voter fraud. Once they're registered multiple times, they bus people to different polling places to vote multiple times! There are many states that don't require IDs so people can vote more than once. Obama's campaign bused people across state lines in the Democratic primary to vote multiple times and intimidated people at the caucuses - it's an outrage!

This is voter registration fraud, not voter fraud. Even if this person registers 100 times he can only vote once. He has just filled out 100 cards, maybe. There is no advantage to obvious voter registration fraud, unless the end result is to throw out the voters on the fraudulent forms OR to raise questions about legitrimate voters, citing the bad registrations as proof of wrongdoing.

Now what party is always channeling voters at the polls and trying to disenfranchise them?

Ohio says they dont have the ability to even determine which are real and which are phoney. Thus creating a fraud by numbers. How many of these will get through the registration process because there isnt enough people to cross reference the amount of registrations that get through? Since it makes no sense for the Democrats to want to disenfranchise the newly registered voters who would likely vote for Senator Obama, then the only other possibility is that the GOP wants to have all of ACORN registrations thrown out and thereby try to swing the election in their favor. Does that mean that all the ACORN registrations will be allowed by the S of S? If disallowed, then the GOP wins. If allowed, then the registrant would have to come up with identification in order to vote. Anyone trying to vote 71 times at the same place would be noticed. Or did he give 71 addresses in 71 different precincts. Even with help, that is a daunting task. If he did try to vote 71 times and was challenged each time, that would really make the lines long. Who benefits?

subducid, get a clue. ACORN registers these people and takes them by the busload to get absentee ballots. If they are willing to register multiple times for a cigarette, how much do you think it costs the ACORN workers to buy their ballots. They might not get all 73 votes counted, but hundreds of thousands, if not millions will be counted. That's the problem with letting a candidate raise unlimited funds. They can buy a lot of votes.
