great looking rifle I am looking at one at a local gun shop. It is a byf 43 german build, I don't nessearly have the money right now, but if I dont act now it may be gone soon. Price is 399.99
The BARREL? lol. Never EVER saw that before. You mean the action, or some of the other parts (trigger guard, magazine floorplate, etc.) I've never ever seen a Russian Capture with electropenciling on the barrel. lmao. That would be retarded. The whole point of the electropenciling is to match the OTHER parts of the rifle to the receiver AND barrel! lol. BTW, don't listen to this. Russian Captures will serve you well. But $400 is too much for one.
Funny you would say that, my byf 40 has the importer markings on the barrel. The bolt has had some elctropenciling too match the receiver's number of 1777. The only non-matching part on my Mauser is the barrel band. It is a Russian capture too.
hm it isnt a real one cuz a real one the loader would flop out with forces you to put in your ammo or else you need to put it down and then only then you can put the bolt back in so this is replica i olso dident see a date..
How did you bolt close without you pushing down the follower-plate? I sure hope you just didn't pull the bolt all they way back, because if you modded that, you ruined a very important function of the rifle!
if you want to get one you should go and talk to your local gun store or a go store they might have some ideas of how to get one. If you use it for hunting all i can say is that its a one shood dieal evey time.
how did u close the bolt without the magazine plate depressed?
is the the cz model modified?
cuz i have a russian captured german k98 and like all german mausers u must depress the magazine follower to close the bolt so if u could tell me how u did that id be happy =)
Who wants to deactivate a perfectly good piece of history? Deactivating weapons is destroying history if you ask me. If you want a rifle just to hang on your wall, an airsoft gun is much more practical and less expensive. You don't need to be into the sport. The only difference in the 'Dboys' model I mentioned early is that it has a plastic 'imitation wood' stock, which you really can't tell since the real one had a sort of laminated stock.
In certain countries such as the UK they only allow guns that have been deactivated. I agree with you, it's very sad, and to think of all the Lugers that have been deactivated makes me cringe.
That's good. I hate to see a fine piece of history like this incomplete. I have 5 of them myself, 4 Russian captured mismatched ones and one all matching byf44 in nearly UNFIRED condition. Shooting the RC k98's at the range is one of the most enjoyable things ever! Hope you get some range time with yours!
we had two of them to dry the wat shirts in poland, i found many things as a child. my uncle found a complete ss uniform with all medals and stuff in the chimney. the germans were gone, now i live in germany....
u removed the elastic metal spring... weird... if u dont have it then when u fire it the rear sling band will fall off... and think u gotta push the magazine spring down to push the bolt back in... at least its wut mine does! but overall very nice quality... not RC i hope
wat caliber is it when i make mine i might use 270 shells will it still look go or are the shells to big

Salut,
m1garand44 2 years ago

You can always get an airsoft model. 'Dboys' makes a nice replica for around $130, working bolt and shell operation and everything.
