i just found your video after doing some research about robert breer. this is cool, i like it a lot. I like the speed of the movements, not too quick, not too boring.
Yes, it could be wonderful, but you absolutely need to add sound. Also IMO it is too long; if you cut it to 1/3 you won't loose anything. On the contrary.
Jonathan - I used fine tipped permanent magic markers on clear film. The film was never exposed. clear film is used as leader film. I chose clear but you can certaintly used white leader film. ANy questions, please send them in! Thanks!
No it's not that complicated. I simply drew on each clear frame using a template underneath, i.e., graph paper. I made sure that the number of squares on the graph paper were equal for each frame. Hope this helps. When you're done with your 'project' I'd like to see it!
I am wondering how you made this so precise... did you use some something so that you could project the previous frame on to the current frame? I am thinking of something like what Norman McClaren used...
