@AFSKID she was in silent hill coz she was called to the town,jus like James and Eddie.They were all killers who had guilt or an inner darknes over something they had done.Angela was raped by her father and she killed him.Her mother disowned her and told her she deserved it.she is really messed up xD.I dont think the scene where she walks up the staircase of flames is her killing herself.it jus means that her life is like a constant struggle in hell.

@Darkcrows001 I must second Obsessed, but a word of caution. Play 2 and 3 (or if you are lucky, even number 1). 4 (aka The Room) is heavily based off a small story in 2, yet the game itself is decent at best. Origins happens before 1, but it to is decent at best. 5 (which I believe is homecoming) is god awful in my opinion and should only be played just to continue the story. Shattered Memories is interesting take on 1, but has a different twist. Just one fans opinion!

@rainethesage It's a staircase to Hell, plain and simple.

Her whole life was nothing but Hell, and she lives in those fires constantly. Most people's iconic conotation with Hell is that you get there with an elevator; it's an easy and comfortable trip.

Not for Angela. She ascends into Hell through immense physical and emotional pain and torture, and her bitterness and contempt for her father (which led to her murdering him) marks this arduous journey. For Angela, it's nothing easy at all.

its a shame silent hill has hit rock bottom. they used to put so much substance into the story... now they just try to make it more like the movie.

@ChaosStep As a committed fan of Silent Hill I can tell you now that I've played all three of the homebrew Silent Hills (in addition to the four original). Origins was pretty decent, the most resembling of the original formula of Silent Hill games. Homecoming was just...let's just say that when I beat it I never touched it again. And Shattered Memories was easily the best of all three, it really had a great story (which is what I love so much in a Silent Hill game).

@ChaosStep I tend to treat Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Homecoming with the Fight Club mentality. The first rule of those games is you do not talk about those games.

Those horrible games set aside, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories while not as great as the original three was good in its own right. Even though I don't really care much for the Wii, I honestly think that game should only be played on the Wii. I thought Climax did a good job at utilizing the motion controls.

I cried during Angela's last meeting with James. When she surrenders herself for what she has done and starts walking up the stairs, you can't help but feel this small sort of heaviness in your chest.

Most people see her as crazy right when you start playing the game but she is a human filled with suffering and guilt, just like James.

I noticed that as well, but the seductress could have been Maria. Seeing as how she was meant to be a reflection of what James wanted Mary to be as well as the complete opposite as Mary.

But then again, Maria was never real. So it's more likely with what you said. Especially since there are three coins, three tablets and three tortured souls in Silent Hill.

on my first playthrough of silent hill 2 ,it was my birthday i just bought it and im in the bluecreek apartments,at one point i equiped the wooden plank and started screaming and i was hitting the wall saying "WHY IS THIS FREAKING GAME SO HARD!!!" and then i ran into a mannequin

if you got the leave ending , then james resolves his internal conflict and adopts laura. The leave ending is the closest thing to the good ending you can get.
