Hi i used to have car mods but i got this error. So I reinstalled the game and took away car mods, and downloaded Simple Native Trainer 6.4. Worked fine but just one day i went on game and trainer didn't work. So then i tried playing again 3 days later and it did, but now i always get this error after 2 mins. Plz help

I have successfully found a way to save modded cars in gta4.

-You must correctly install the mod replacing a car that is NOT in any parking lot, and then you find and save the car at a parking lot. you can roam freely, and the car you have won't give an error when you drive or run away from it.

THIS WONT WORK IN MULTIPLAYER though.

any one with this problem. i had it and i fixed it. modding will sometimes corrupt your save files. back them up!!! when this happens try replacing the save files.

If you want to fix your savegame with modified parked cars, you just need to grab another car and push away the parked cars from the save points. After that, save your game as soon as possible. Travel around the city to do the same for the other houses and always save at the nearest house. Don't ride a taxi because it will just crash the game.

This worked for me when I downloaded a savegame after I've change almost all of the cars in the game.

i just took the vehicles image out and replaced it with the original. rove the car out of the safe house parking and then save dit again and now its fine

dude, thank you so much. this error has been driving me mad. I had saved a dukes in my save spot and inported a mustang fastback over it. bang, smpa60 error. Been crashing ever since, yet i had modded several cars beforehand and no problems. only after i saved the dukes and modded it did this happen. Ill test it out and see if this fixes the error but it already sounds like the culprit to me! i could kiss you! (no homo)

You could delete it or just start a new game and save over it...

i reinstalled gta 4 yesterday cause it kept crashing at the mission blood brothers my gta was modded then, i reinstalled used my old save game, did a couple of missions fine.

then gotta do the helicopter mission with little jacob of U.L paper, flying the first part goes fine untill i reach the place where the enemy flys above the park with all those buildings.

can this be be caused cause i used my old savegame?

I've gotten this error after having installed a modified save game off the net, the cars that are parked at the safehouse are both modded and have worked fine before, so new savegames can also be problems. I'm going to try a save game I've used and have worked with before to confirm that imported savegames can be causes.

i installed a car (logan dacia) in the place of admiral and save it near play boy x house now it is mine any way now i removed the dacia and every car mod i installed

Fuck this im not making or downloading anymore mods. The SMPA60 error went away when I used my backup to replace the files. I do still have a few mod cars installed but just don't save the mod cars in the save point. Reduce the graphic settings, run the game as an admin, and it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Actually what your'e saying is if I installed like a car pack and saved a car on a Residents Parking Only spot, then removed the car pack and went near this same spot again I got this error? so I need to reinstall the car pack and remove any cars from the saving cars spot and then uninstall it again, I shouldn't get this? thx and sry for digging

I haven't tried it with a car pack but assuming it swaps the same cars, then yes, it should be fixed.

you can still save cars, just don't mod a car that is in the save point, I don't save cars personally because I import loads and would probably forget...

i dont have the original files of the comet but i plaied before with porsche 911 sport clasic mod and the game ran perfectly

If you modded a car that was saved, you need to re-import the car that was at the save point back into the game (it may not be an original file but a modded car), then move it. If you've imported loads and can't remember what car(s) it was you may have to start a new game (last resort). I had to do this before I figured out the cause/ solution of it.

Remember not to mod a car if it is at a save point...

You seem to know a lot about Gta 4 .. My problem is my lagg. I recently bought a new computer cuz i wanted to play this game :) I have ATI 5670 1 gb , i5 processor and 6 gb ddr3 of RAM . I still cant play this on max.. I play it on medium and when i look at the requirements I got a lot better than what's needed . Even on medium it still lags. Plz help :)

What are the frame rates that you get on the different settings? I take it you're on 64 bit, is it win7? Have you got the latest graphics driver and game patch, and defragged your hard drive?

yes ok so Every one make sure you do not save modded cars in your parking spaces if you game fucks up and you have to reinstall you r GTA 4 unless you know where your modded cars are and get them the hell away for you, for me i just push them out of the way with a car dont blow them up, then quickly save! oh yeah if you game fucks ups just re apply the patch and install your mods like realistic driving.ECT. Works 4 me.

The error seems to be from savefile, have you had modded cars on that save file even if you don't anymore (replace them all or reinstall the game but keep savefile)? Do you get this in singleplayer? Does the error happen in the same place(s) on map?

Don't know about this error in MP, It may not be your game causing the error though.

Now, i have a simple trainer 5.9 and nothing happens. Only i give a error: "The EFLC.exe as found a problem and needs to close"... only happens 1 time per day.

@PovGamer sry for responding 2 moths later i didint have time to respond. I found the error: (just only in MP) is the mods that causes that error. Playing with mods in MP causes crashes to other players (SMPA60) and even to my game...

For me, all I had to do was drive my modded car away from the save parking place and restart the game from Windows. That cleared the error. Then, you can find the same car that wouldn't run correctly b4 and save it now in that same parking place if you want.

i get this same error but in multiplayer free mode. Maybe its the same because the game automatically starts your last save anyway then you have use your phone to play online from there? I also use modded cars. Do you think If i just move the modded cars out of the lot and save again it will fix it?

hey man thanks a lot, this error was hapenning to me and you were right, i mod some cars that were in the saving spot, to fixed i did this:

-replace the modded vehicles.img to the original backup

-lunch the game and move all cars from the saving points and save the game

-replace the original vehicles.img whit the modded one i have(or you can just start moding the original)

-lunch the game and have fun!!!

@vaspargbuza MAN CLEAN YOUR REGISTRY ( sorry CAPS Lock) than delet al your saves, than reinstall your GTA IV make it like I say deinstal game than download TuneUp Shreder and after the deinstall go to your old installation folder adn try to find the rest, or delet the complete Grand Theft Auto IV folder, than install it again, start the game make a new save file and close the game than restart your computer and tada it works fine.

I believe this can also be caused when a modder removes any of the "addons" that the original model has.

The only thing i'm using, that's not installed in the actual IV installation, is xliveless.

One suggested 'fix', only play private matches with people who have no mods installed. (I haven't played MP in ages so don't know) but it could be the mods, maybe if they have smpa60 in SP or something else. Play a private match with someone with mods then someone without and see...

You do not have to reinstall to fix it... it's the save file. Others have reinstalled and used the same save file and still had the problem. You will still have to start a new game... If you don't want to do that use my solution in vid. Anyway hope you fixed it Moho ; )
