McCain, Obama, Newt, Reagan, Nixon, the Bush family...all of em go and have gone to the Bohemian Grove where they have gay games, dress in women's clothes and wear red robes and hoods while they burn an effigy of a child in an alter fire before the statue of their God Molech.. I shit you not. Haven't seen or heard of Ron Paul going there though, and not only that I heard he was THE ONLY ONE WHO VOTED NO on the new Defense Bill.. he was the only one. :o our government isn't just corrupt, its gone
Clear and to the point. It amazes me that so many people don't get it and it amazes me even more that so many people intelligent enough to get it instead *choose* to refuse to get it.
@TheSuccesswarrior Sorry that I have to amaze you. I have not voted sence Jimmy Carter lost to Reagan, my not voteing has not helped anything, "Every man builds his world in his own image, he has the power to choose, but no power to escape the necessity of choice. If he abdicates his power, he abdicates the power of man, and the grinding chaos of the irrational is what he achieves." Ayn Rand I see the chaos and will do everything I can to have the hope of change. Ron Paul
I understand the premise and I agree. I am against the INITIATION of force. But when force is being used, I respond with force sufficient enough to repel the aggression being used. By voting for Ron Paul am I still voting for slavery? Absolutely. But a far less oppressive slavery is better than outright overt and brutal despotism in my estimation. You agree it will take thousands of years. Just sit on my hands in the meantime? @LBRTRN89 I'll eat you before you eat me, but not without provocation
I very much resent the idea that Ron Paul is a statist. Bernie Sanders, Ron Paul and (I believe) Gary Johnson are against the Federal Reserve, which is the destination for your income tax dollars via the IRS. Ron Paul knows that taxes are theft and as President, will do what's possible to change the system from the inside.
@apell711 Ron Paul is a Statist. I registered to vote so that he would be our slave master versus someone more brutal and repressive. But calling him a Statist is more of an observation than an ad hominem attack. Most voluntaryists will tell you they love many of his ideas on economics and free markets and civil liberties, they just fundamentally disagree with the mechanism he employs to enact them... and to a broader point, mechanisms in general lol
@getsetrecords The problem is that it is next to impossible to organize a mass movement that isn't political yet has unanimity. Secessionist movements are probably the best tool available to approach a freer society. It would be great if enough people would simply refuse to support and obey the state, but how are you going to bring that about? I think political devolution can be effective and serve nearly the same purpose as some sort of ideal mass civil disobedience.
@MillionthUsername You must be the change you wish to see. Ganghi Secessionist want to seperate from the greatest union of states ever devised by man to create prosperity for the masses. The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce. ...
@dapop1001 The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives and liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State." — James Madison Co-author of The US Constitution. Ron Paul knows the constitution should be followed. The message of freedom and liberty is like wildfire.
@getsetrecords Well you can either stage a full-on revolution, leave the country or change it from within, which wouldn't require a leader. I kinda see Ron Paul as both trying to change it from within and if that fails, staging a revolution (his supporters sure act like this is a revolution and I'm afraid to see what would happen if he doesn't win this election).
@apell711 I think the main problem is that you leave one hierarchical coercive statist monopoly and obtain another. Secession will be met with violent force. What if we purchased the whole of New Hampshire, for instance(the place most likely to go for this sort of thing) and attempted to assert our right of secession? I imagine it wouldn't turn out well, because we'd essentially be at war with a nation of war criminals lol.
@getsetrecords The government was founded with the intent to be as limited as possible. Our fears have led people to allocate more responsibility to the government, which gave it the right to become that "hierarchical coercive statist monopoly. Secession will definitely be met with violent force, but all the secessionists need to do i win that. No simple feat but when there are enough numbers on the right side, the right side will win.
@apell711 I am a Ron Paul suporter, from NH, or I wouldnt comment this late. I think of it more as evolution. People are learning more about their rights and becomeing more politically active. There are allready cases of people exerciseing their right not to convict someone that broke the law if they do not think the law is just in jury trials. Hopefully everyone will take the time to understand the people they are voteing for and stop voteing party lines. Please vote, be part of it!
I am tired of being treated like a slave while being given a 0.00000000001% of my hard work as a Engineer, while the big and wealthy run away with money.
@Kalostaphor True capitalism has never existed... so how can you say it is capitalism's fault for the rich taking over statism?!? That is statism's fault!!!
@mikeshanklin What is "true capitalism". No set definition has ever been agreed upon, and the term was first used to describe the ownership of the means of production during the 19th century, not an economic system as a whole. The term then evolved into a way of categorizing statist economies. Now you are anti-statist, and vehemently support free markets, which are not necessarily capitalistic by nature, but merely emergent, and from there it simply becomes an economic experiment.
The notion that true capitalism has never been tried is propaganda at its worst and it only works on the ignorant. True capitalism DID exist up until the reforms of the the late nineteenth and early twentieth century; most notably the New Deal under FDR. And true capitalism exists today in the sweatshops of Asia and Indonesia and Malaysia, et al. and it's making a comeback here in the states, which is why we're headed back to our sweatshop roots.
And the reason true capitalism has been reformed is because true capitalism is so rapacious and destructive and exploitative and prone to corruption that no sane society will tolerate it for too long.
@Kalostaphor So why don't you quit and find another job that pays you more? If we lived in a capitalism, a job like that would exist because capitalisms give you choice. If there are no other jobs like that, then it's the fault of the Keynesian-tilted cronyism we live in currently in which the government secures cooshy oligarch positions for those that you refer to as "the big and wealthy."
I have a worse job and you don't see me bitching to my boss, to whom I said "I want to work here"
The worst your boss can do to you is fire you and let you starve.
The greater moral evil lies with the people who take the threat of violence to your doorstep, and tell you "work for me or you will pay a great price". That is the state.
For the state, your death is not enough. To exist, it has to enslave people.
@LBRTRN89 They still have taxes... and the IMF, UN, NATO, WTO, .... various government agencies trying to control them... They are in poverty because they just escaped decades of communism! Besides, since becoming "more free", they have made huge gains.
@LBRTRN89 You can't imagine how people could be civilized without stealing from each other? Isn't that a contradiction? Wouldn't the pledge not to steal from each other be foundational to a civilized society? It sounds like you're equating crime with civilization and the lack of crime with the uncivilized - which is backward, isn't it?
@MillionthUsername The foundation of a civilized society is the fundamental understanding that we as a species benefit from a collective experience. Also your assertion that taxes are stealing is founded on an understanding of right to possession. What gives you the authority to say that you have ownership of a resource. Society's willingness to accept this notion is what provides validity. This same authority applies to taxes society accepts them.
@LBRTRN89 "This same authority applies to taxes society accepts them."
So your definition of justice is whatever "society" accepts? If I live in a society of cannibals, then it is right to eat people? If I live in a society where might makes right, then it's ok to steal from others? You seem to pitching absolute majoritarianism here. How did you arrive at the principle that truth, morality, justice were to be determined by numbers? Is that rational?
@MillionthUsername I can ask you the same question what makes cannibalism immoral? Is eating a human any different that eating an Ape does our higher level of intelligence give us inherent rights other species don't possess? What gives you the authority to say any society is immoral? If morality is not determined by society then what determines it? The only legitimate argument I've heard is maybe natural selection is responsible for morality?
who cares. seriously, if you are this passionate about any of this bullshit than you would be out there instead of makin some fag ass vid that forces a warped ideal. polotics arent worth my time, was raised not to lie.
@scottf78 Who cares?!? Millions of people, too bad not billions... I would hope you care about injustices occurring around you. What is wrong with "fags" anyways?!? Why all the homophobia?!? What is warped about these facts?!? There is a reason I am not in politics also.... because I was raised not to lie. Politics IS the lie...
@mikeshanklin i do care aboutr whats goin on around me, but i verbally speak my mind and write to congressman and so forth. i care for whats going on, i just dont care for vids that have no actual value. i could say negative stuff all day and it means nothing. change happens with unity. agree with polotics is the lie. thats an understatement. as for the word "fag", meaning no disrespect at all to homosexuals. have gay friends, that doesnt mean im banned from using the word.
@scottf78 My videos have converted more people to Freedom than writing to any slavedriving politician will help... It is not negative stuff, it is facts.... that is all I am saying, the fact that you take it negatively simply indicates that you do not like these facts, not that they aren't facts. Spreading facts is better for real change in individuals than any political system of aggressive violence on peaceful people will produce. PSNever said you were banned from using mean and hateful words.
@mikeshanklin i said nothing ignorant nor wrong, and again this vid just doesnt help. it seems more irritant than anything. not worried about watchin any vids, im glad others think to change, but my change shows in my home and how i act. wish alot more could say that.
This video is an excellent example of why we have such horrible politicians. Gullible naive characters such as the maker of this video are actually allowed to vote. It's not even clear if he is capable of walking around loose without a rational person to guide him.
never;" vote for a person that buys their way to leader-ship." the love of money is trully the root of evil, and anyone that thinks different is part-taker and bought. "there never, was a ;"horse that could'nt be "rode",or, a,"man" not, ;"throwed"! wisdom;"the good is seen as "evi'"! Barrack! and the ,"evil" [tea-party" is seen as good"! ;"Bull...shit" !! can a monky do the wa'tusie? or,can a' "frog", pay taxs? these frogs walk on two legs, trust,"not"! the mony makers."
We as as society need to contribute some money to the government as they provide for roads and some areas provide other tansporation, police and fire fighters. But they do have a military that is not needed to be so huge. Where's the rage for greed the fuels such violence. Taxes once were collected via tarrifs, but the corporate own state had those removed and their labor taxed on income. Nice job for them. I don't mind some taxes though, as long as they're used well. Today they are not.
My last ramble here. In no minced words.... In non-ambiguous terms...... The most voted and important question on the internet which first went to Paul...... The question was from you tube. He said we must get the federal government and the IRS out of our business. To mane an enemy of Paul because he does not totally conform to your Utopian ideas are delusional.
@Downfurlife The only thing that is utopian is your idea that a small group of men & women can be given absolute power over everyone else & they will never corrupt or abuse that power. Laughs!
I propose people pull their investments out of all that supports govt. as much as they can so long as it is not a detriment to their lives. Avoid as many taxes as possible, keep kids out of govt. indoctrination camps, don't use the post office, etc. & most importantly, raise your children without authority so they will develop never in fear of govt. agents. Government is self-destructive & unsustainable anyway. All governments die by their own deeds, all we must do is not assist their existence.
@Downfurlife It will not likely fully happen in my lifetime, but it will happen, & it's something worth working toward, even though I know I will not reap the full reward.
@rockstarofredondo So, to end war, end death penalty, end war on drugs, end lobbying, end IRS, End IMF, End Federal Reserve, End Corporate Congress, End Quantitative Easing and end corrupt regulators.... You really don't have a plan. You just know it will some how end, you are working toward it but you will not reap the reward? That doesn't make a lot of sense? What is your plan, how are you quantifying success and what criteria will you judge your success by? To accomplish these goals?
@Downfurlife To end any of that stuff, you must first not have the state. To attempt to stop it without getting rid of what the root cause of all of that is is futile.
@Downfurlife I do not advocate for the existence of any monopoly on violence, which is all the state is. Anarchy=without ruler. Nobody is the boss of me, but me.
@rockstarofredondo I signed up for the VV sight..... It is equally as confusing and cryptic..... Again... This to me sounds like you are advocating Pure "Mises" Style Anarchy.
Truth be told non-participation has never changed any form of government with long term positive benefits in recorded history. Now days it barely impacts corporations. 900 million tubes of toothpase are sold in the USA each YR even if 50million people boycotted - it would make no difference. At no time has peaceful protest changed or threatened any modern government as deeply rooted, corrupted & militarized as the USA. Especially not with long term, long lasting positive impact for citizens.
It is weird...... If you read the comments we are all almost discussing Ron Paul. Most here not supporting him; a few of us are. Peace will not change corrupt, deeply rooted violent government - policy will. There are politicians (countable on two hands) who support 80-90% of the things "we" 'all' want here. Who fight the status quo no matter who the president. It is best to align ourselves with friends rather than seek petty reasons to build walls of separation.
Seems so confuse for me, so you're talking about taxation as a theft, means for me that you agree to suppress the thin U.S care health (for example) ? Only people you have enough money can access to the basic human right, to have medical treatment ? Don't you think it's a TRUE violence ?
I'm proud to live in a country protecting all people and I'm ashame our president (nicknamed himself the American) wants to destroy our care health system.
@WONDOCTORJ You know man...I could not agree with you more on Ron Paul, but please don't call these folks nutjobs. We don't need that. I give anyone credit for seeing the government system for what it truly is, given most Americans are still sheep for the most part. None the less, I am with you about Dr Paul being one heck of a nice place to start. That's a much more effective way to fight back for now.
The person that made this video should vote Ron Paul because he is the only one who wants to end the violence and stop the system of corruption. The only reason you mention "xenophobia" is because Ron Paul wants to bring the troops home and stop the WARS you are saying the others support. That is hypocritical of you. He is not an isolationist he is open to trade and friendships just not wars. Get your facts straight and Vote Ron Paul. Are states isolationists because of boarders? NO!!!
@owentimo No shitty, stupid and worthless video. Non-participation is not a movement, an idea or a philosophy. If you read the comments here most of these people are clueless idiots. Ron Paul is against the IRS, death penalty and anti-choice(pro life). He is against all war of all presidents. He is against intervention & policing the world. He is not for a federal government either.
@Downfurlife Calling people names does not make your argument stronger. A different approach might benefit you & your "movement", "idea", & "philosophy".
@rockstarofredondo What? LOL? Ron Paul's position is clear. Explaining it over and over and over again. Collective mass perception as it stands is resistant to change. Often it backfires. It is not my job to re-educate people. Ron Paul's beliefs are quite clear, established and a fact of historical record. You can find his videos dating back to 1980 - 83 and he has written several books. What do you expect me to do in 500 words or less? "Google" ron paul if people want to know.
@rockstarofredondo I hate posting twice.... But, I represent no movement "idea" or philosophy. I am a champion of the constitution. Therefore it logically follows I am a champion of Ron Paul or any candidate: Bernie Sanders, Grayson, Johnson or possible Frank who is against the status quo. I limit myself to partisanship. You get no cookies, gold star and I will not be massaging your back today.
@Downfurlife I'm just addressing you calling people idiots for not agreeing with your wants. I never asked you to massage me in any way & I certainly wouldn't allow you to touch me, awkward. Not really something I need to ask some rando on youtube for. I've got plenty of people in my real life who love me who are happy to do so & who I'm willing to allow to.
@rockstarofredondo I am just thinking out loud. You really think little whiny girls and boys need a spokes model? As I said, it had nothing to do with misunderstanding anything me or not agreeing with me. It has to do with intentional misrepresentation of well documented and factual material.
@Downfurlife Show me WHERE I misrepresented ANYTHING someone said, creep. You're on here calling people idiots for no reason & now you're claiming I'm misrepresenting RP while you put words in my mouth about being intimately touched by a stranger? You don't even make any fucking sense. Who the fuck are you & where the fuck do you get such nerve? Btw, just so you know, I don't NEED to do anything just because you say so, even though I didn't do that.
@rockstarofredondo RAWR..Someone's getting huffy bout a stranger on the net insulting them, seems a bit violent. You are not going to fight violent politicians with peace. You are going to fight them with policy. You are either with the status quo or against them. If you are pro-peace; you are against the US Corporate industrial military complex & a corporate controlled congress. The biggest obstacle to world peace. Both of which Paul is 100% opposed to, it is all about baby steps - Babe.
@Downfurlife Now you're redefining the word "violent"! How can I be violent over the net? Haha, you are a complete train wreck. Because you can't just address the issue being spoken of or admit you were uncouth when calling people idiots for having moved beyond your precious minarchism, you fly into a chaotic, hypocritical frenzy, making reference to a bunch of shit that doesn't even make sense. Typical of a minarchist when confronted with the fact that his ideology is indefensible.
@rockstarofredondo ? No, you said you hate violence. The US government does more violence in 1 hour than taxation does in 10 yrs. The yr on drugs does more violence on law abiding US CITIZENS in 1 yr than taxation does in 5-10? The Intelligence community NSA., DIA, CIA, NGA or other groups do more damage in 24 hours to the same citizens in than taxation or police in 1 yr. I am not an anarchist, a realist. Small steps - baby.
@Downfurlife All of those things you are against... exist because of taxation. They are all interrelated. It appears that taxation is guilty for all of the things you listed, as it is what gives these institutions their revenue.
@mi Paul is 100% opposed to the IRS. Last night(literally) in the debate he suggested he was for abolishing the federal government. He is for removing corps from gov, he does not take corp money, Is against war on drugs/ALL war, against the death penalty(I wish he was not), thinks Abortion is murder(another flaw), against gov spying(ALL) , for freedom & liberty, is against NAFTA.. Peace will not change corrupt politicians. Policy will. You/we must start somewhere. No politician is perfect.
@Downfurlife Sorry, but a realist understands, you cannot "fight" any of those agencies as they have the bigger & better weapons & the support of their Stockholm Syndrome victims. A minarchist believes you can use the state to shrink the state. Could an idea be any more illogical & UNREALISTIC?
@roI do not follow..Stockholm Syndrome has been debunked. That aside. I do not follow? How do you purpose we bring immediate&necessary changes: End Us Foreign Imperialism, End (racist)death Penalty, End US policing the world, End IRS, End Fed, End racist war on drugs, End to Nafta, End violations of constitution, End quantitative easing, end corporatism, end corporate controlled congress. End Iraq, Afgan, Iran, Paki, Libya, Somalia, India or other nations we have killed millions in?
@croakingembryo Ron Paul IS a statist. He believes in governments which are funded through theft (taxation). He believes in government militaries, in government borders, and in states having the right to wage war on drugs and abortion. Ron Paul would have to fund this with taxation theft which is anti-free market. Ron Paul threatens to use violence on peaceful people. I am against statism slavery 100%.... I believe no one has the right to use violence on peaceful people, unlike Ron Paul...
@mikeshanklin Ron Paul wants to get rid of the income tax, stop the war on drugs (in fact he wants to legalize all drugs and prostitution), he wants to end the wars and bring the troops home, get rid of almost all the government departments and shrink government down to a minimum. I understand that you are an anarchist but voting for Ron Paul and assuring his presidency would be moving closer to your goal. And btw Ron Paul does not believe in "the right"??? to to use violence on peaceful people.
@croakingembryo You know I like Ron Paul's ideas, but he still does like using violence on peaceful people. He isn't against the idea of taxation, he just wants a smaller amount of it. He has lived of theft for years now.
A MINIMUM of coercive violence is still COERCIVE VIOLENCE.
A MINIMUM of taxation is still THEFT, as the money is taken at the point of a gun against my will.
I really don't care if a great guy like Ron Paul is the one holding the gun or only wants to steal a little bit..
@mikeshanklin Ron Paul believes in abolishing the federal government, federal reserve and IRS. He has voted against every presidents war since 1983. He is anti death penalty and anti-choice(pro-life). He does not believe in intervention or policing the world. You really to do a little re-educating yourself. He stands for everything this video has mentioned and you have mentioned.
@mikeshanklin UM, actually Ron Paul has always said he wants taxes to be ZERO. He's said many times he wants people to be able to keep 100% of their money.
@alCIAdadidit But the REALITY is that GOVERNMENT CANNOT exist without taxation, which is the violent separation of you & your property, so a Ron Paul Government is an impossibility.
@rockstarofredondo not true bro....Ron Paul believes in shrinking goverement and Returning us to an original Republic whereby the likes of Localism and Voluntaryism may be much more tenable........Ethan, sorry bro, but you guys in Keene are shooting All of US in the foot.....if you guys TRULY are voluntaryists then you would support the most gradual and calm movement back towards a Free Market.........frankly, i would've expected a little bit more outta you guys!
@Downfurlife I'm talking about reality. You are talking about what a POLITICIAN ****SAYS**** he's going to do. I'm not misrepresenting anything. Your argument is absolute shit.
@mikeshanklin I'm sorry, but its not enough for us anarchists to merely wait for an apocalyptic collapse of society and its ruling warrior class in the hopes we can eventually build some ideal civilization - we *must* push for change in society *now*. Ron Paul has the unenviable duty of working within a corrupt system - but his values are incredibly akin to ours. If elected, he will do all in his power to at least regress the current tyrannical hold and give "extremists" like us a public voice.
@mikeshanklin sorry croakingembryo but where are you getting all of these views from?....Ron Paul wants to Legalize marijuana....in a response to being asked why Ron Paul doesn't support the illegalization of marijuana, ron paul responded "why should it be illegalized in the first place...".....
Ron Paul believes in Taxation???? are you shitting me?....DO Your Homework dude....Ron Paul is the Only candidate that wants to abolish the federal income tax.......Speak Truth brother, dont lie!
@mikeshanklin You need to get a grip. Look at yourself and ask yourself what are you doing to help anything? Nothing is going to change unless you do something about it, and not voting is not doing something about it. Believe me, no one cares if you don't vote, the real statists don't care if someone like you votes because you wouldn't be voting for them. Taxes paid voluntarily in return for Government services is an alternative that requires votes.
@PickensCountyLP Lol, voluntary taxation... Nice joke! If it's voluntary, then it's no longer a tax... just a donation/purchase in a free market. Another thing, I don't vote because I want to end the system (that requires education anyways, not blindly pushing more people into voting in a system that could careless and won't listen).... I don't vote because I am ethical... I do not support the use of government violence on peaceful people. If voting changed anything, it would be illegal.
@thychaos I don't want any government roads, I want free market roads and choice in roads. I am against statism monopolizing the road system. There are numerous ways people could fund roads, through fees, tolls, digital subscriptions with window sensors. Walter Block gives a great speech about just that.... and how it would save lives compared to today's violent government monopoly.
@mikeshanklin Ron Paul has chosen to enter politics in order to educate and attempt reform. This obviously involves some compromise. So your criticism is valid, but only to a point. RP has been a libertarian for decades and is quite familiar with anarchism. You must understand that people have differing views of how to achieve a free (or freer) society. Since I'm sure RP would allow for unlimited peaceful secession as an orderly devolution of power, I would not call him "statist."
@getsetrecords What would you think if RP ran for TX governor and then implemented 9th and 10th amendment type reforms which nullified some of the federal power grabs? Is that progress? Anarchism can easily be conceived as an orderly devolution of power, and so the smaller political entities like states, counties, towns could, by pulling away from centralized power, realize many of the goals of freedom lovers. It's hard to ignore existing structures, especially when there is no alternative.
@mikeshanklin - The thing is a stateless - a truly stateless - society is nearly impossible. There is a bit of a no true scotsman fallacy here. An emergent state is still a state. Electing a leader with exclusive privileges over a group (like a chief) is by definition, a state. Even voluntary delegation of responsibilities creates a state. You're stacking the deck in your own favor, because the creation and concession of your every point still makes your society one with a state.
Actually I agree with you to a certain point. In today's elections in the USA,that's the way it is.Maybe one day we can put all this behind on the election stuff.
I noticed you didn't have anything bad to say about Ron Paul.If we don't elect Ron Paul, they'll appoint another Dictator for President, and much worse the world had ever seen.Ron Paul 2012 for President. It a peaceful solution's for now.
Saalome gam naan ben uurda, gan njjber asaala hesporoona!
People say that if you don't vote then you can't complain. Yet those who vote are participating in and consenting to a system of government imposed violence.
The only way to retain your right to complain is to remain separate from the system by withdrawing your consent to govern and be governed with violence.
Don't be crazy Shanklin and grow the fuck up. Ron Paul is the closest thing to real freedom as you are ever gonna get, not perfect but real, simple and commonsensical, or dont you understand his positions on individual liberty and property rights?
@fudgedogbannana Do you remember the Wisconsin debacle? Imagine if Ron Paul initiated something like Walker did on a national level. All of those government union employees without jobs would riot in the streets and all people will remember is that a libertarian was president. Liberty and libertarianism would be wiped out for another hundreds years. End the state!
Earth has five levels of spiritual consciousness. This is the basic reason that the planet has so much disharmony. All five levels are quite normal and every world goes through development stages. Violence is not necessarily a part of any stage but in Earth's case, the spread of consciousness is just too wide to allow us to live in peace. Earth will soon become a two level planet and harmony will be much greater. About 10% of humans are developed enough to reincarnate to the two level Earth.
And remember RP wants to get rid of the income tax!!!
Dont vote for statists!
And you havent offered a solution here at all. How do you achieve freedom then. Do you think you can get everyone to vote? How do you dismantle government?
Only Ron Paul...but if he doesn't win in the Primaries, I won't vote in the general election, as I don't vote for the lesser of two evils...I only vote in self defense, or not at all. I'll laugh at RepubliBloods and DemoCrips like I always do, and continue to explain to the newly dissolutioned why I'm a proud anarchist. You voluntaryists are cool by me too, as you won't for me into a social contract even if you want one (or some form of voluntary government).
If Ron Paul wants to Abolish the IRS and the Income Tax, then how is he "Pointing Guns at Peaceful People"? come on, If Ron Paul is elected he can begin withdrawing troops from overseas immediately! Vote for a man and an Idea who's time has come! Vote for Peace and Liberty, Ron Paul 2012!
@Leftovervictim1991 As an anarchist I sympathize with those who refuse to vote...but I see Ron as the only candidate in YEARS (maybe my lifetime) that I think is basically a voluntaryist in statist disguise. I could be wrong, but we all have to sleep at night with ourselves, and I couldn't sleep at night NOT voting for Ron...but I can't blame others who feel they couldn't sleep at night if they DID vote for Ron. For us, it's the path of least coercion...and the prefered path is ALWAYS none.
@Leftovervictim1991 Plus, I'm hoping to get called for jury duty for voting, so I can hang a jury on my nullification rights if it's a victimless crime! LOL.
@Leftovervictim1991 Ron Paul does not want to abolish taxes and therefore is still advocating the provision of goods and services at the barrel of a gun. You can stop calling theft "income tax". It is still theft. Still using the threat of violence to rob a person of their property. He even suggested a flat 10% "tax" (bribe) to opt out of all governmental services. No thank you.
I am 68 years old, when I was young most people liked and respected the police .Now these days most people hates despise and afraid of the police. what more can I say about law enforcement ,Police are armed and retarded they will hurt you they will kill you and they will get by with it. It takes police to have a police state. All police are taught from day one at the police academy to lie and put innocent people in jail that's why you cannot be a Christian and a policeman at the same time.
@sstomlewis That's only because it's not really democracy. If the non-votes were counted as what they really are, which is a vote for none of the above, then that's who would win.
I find this argument redundant, as the Constitution states in article 2 section 2 that the President is elected by electors. Therefore, voting or not voting is irrevelant. You and your vote are not even part of the discussion. I find it interesting that people are debating over electing presidents when they haven't ever done so and never will when it comes to a Presidential election. If you want to change the President, focus on state legislators and ask them whom they will appoint electorally.
No one! Why? Because they will all do the same shit! You all think Ron Paul will change anything, but I say he is just like Obama but in the Republican Party. Do you all still believe that the President controls the country? They don't! The ones that control the country are the big corporations that don't care a shit about us! Ron Paul, like Obama, are just delusions with great promises!
Here's the Ron Paul argument in a nutshell: "Oh, I really don't like those Mafia guys breaking kneecaps and extorting money from people. I know, I'll join them, break a few kneecaps and try to become the head Mafia Don. Yeah, that's how I'll solve that problem."
How does Gary Johnson and Wayne Allen Root believe in pointing guns? They would dismantle the Federal government drastically. We need to support libertarians and message of peace, instead of confusing people.
@ggadguy - Government can't exist without taxation and taxation is simply money taken from others by threat of violence (guns will eventually be presented, if you stand your ground). Therefore, no matter who is in the seat of the presidency, the government will still be pointing guns at peaceful people. Even if Ron Paul gets in there.
@furyofbongos Couldn't Dr. Paul give us more freedoms back? He'd drastically cut a lot of spending immediately. I'd rather live in a country that had 90% freedom than 50% freedom.
To have total anarchy will not happen, unless there is a Somalia situation where they fell under Communism and their government topples, they go into hyperinflation and have civil war. I hope we can get to the smallest government possible, but no government is highly unlikely. But it is good to show "the gun".
@ggadguy - Thanks for your polite reply (a bit of a rarity on YT). My direct answer would be yes, less cancer is better than more cancer. I would encourage you to watch some of the vids of Walter Block: /watch?v=CPCk69X9AF8 and the "stefbot" channel: /watch?v=5-j9LBCmM3c (on this video, let it run, he makes his case on how RP won't be able to act effectively on his policies). Also, FreeDomainRadio daught com has free audio books and pdf books on the feasibility of a stateless society.
@furyofbongos I've actually seen both of those videos. (I listen to a lot of videos while at work) And I subscribe to Stefen's channel and have been for years. All of the anarchists make great arguments, and I tend to agree with your arguments, although I am not certain the public is ready for it. I think we just need to move in that general direction, however we can. While Ron Paul will most likely not win, he is at least promoting the ideas of liberty, although not as hard as I'd like.
Not voting only allows a candidate to obtain a majority of votes over 50%; do a write-in vote (NONE OF THE ABOVE) and prevent any candidate from getting that 50% majority of voters or you could just vote for Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is admittedly a voluntaryist, is very cosy with Austrian economists who are mostly anarchists. I think philosophically he is there, but is using his political position to educate people about liberty.
great video I think if you check out DR Ron Paul 2012 you would take him out of your video. hope to see your next video about DR Ron Paul. apathy, vote, one love.
I stopped pulling a straight ticket and only vote on candidates I research, not their a letter beside their name.
I think I could pay more attention to local candidates, and I must admit I'm pessimistic on voting, but as an Independent thinker I will voluntary vote for Ron Paul.
one can vote other ways, such as where you live and why, what you chose to buy.on and on

I shit you not. Haven't seen or heard of Ron Paul going there though, and not only that I heard he was THE ONLY ONE WHO VOTED NO on the new Defense Bill.. he was the only one. :o our government isn't just corrupt, its gone

Ron Paul 2012
apell711 4 months ago 2
@apell711 Ron Paul is a Statist. I registered to vote so that he would be our slave master versus someone more brutal and repressive. But calling him a Statist is more of an observation than an ad hominem attack. Most voluntaryists will tell you they love many of his ideas on economics and free markets and civil liberties, they just fundamentally disagree with the mechanism he employs to enact them... and to a broader point, mechanisms in general lol
getsetrecords 3 months ago
@getsetrecords The problem is that it is next to impossible to organize a mass movement that isn't political yet has unanimity. Secessionist movements are probably the best tool available to approach a freer society. It would be great if enough people would simply refuse to support and obey the state, but how are you going to bring that about? I think political devolution can be effective and serve nearly the same purpose as some sort of ideal mass civil disobedience.
MillionthUsername 3 months ago
@MillionthUsername You must be the change you wish to see. Ganghi Secessionist want to seperate from the greatest union of states ever devised by man to create prosperity for the masses. The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce. ...
dapop1001 2 months ago
@dapop1001 The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives and liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State." — James Madison Co-author of The US Constitution. Ron Paul knows the constitution should be followed. The message of freedom and liberty is like wildfire.
dapop1001 2 months ago
@getsetrecords Well you can either stage a full-on revolution, leave the country or change it from within, which wouldn't require a leader. I kinda see Ron Paul as both trying to change it from within and if that fails, staging a revolution (his supporters sure act like this is a revolution and I'm afraid to see what would happen if he doesn't win this election).
apell711 3 months ago
@apell711 I think the main problem is that you leave one hierarchical coercive statist monopoly and obtain another. Secession will be met with violent force. What if we purchased the whole of New Hampshire, for instance(the place most likely to go for this sort of thing) and attempted to assert our right of secession? I imagine it wouldn't turn out well, because we'd essentially be at war with a nation of war criminals lol.
getsetrecords 3 months ago
@getsetrecords The government was founded with the intent to be as limited as possible. Our fears have led people to allocate more responsibility to the government, which gave it the right to become that "hierarchical coercive statist monopoly. Secession will definitely be met with violent force, but all the secessionists need to do i win that. No simple feat but when there are enough numbers on the right side, the right side will win.

@Kalostaphor True capitalism has never existed... so how can you say it is capitalism's fault for the rich taking over statism?!? That is statism's fault!!!
mikeshanklin 4 months ago 19
@mikeshanklin What is "true capitalism". No set definition has ever been agreed upon, and the term was first used to describe the ownership of the means of production during the 19th century, not an economic system as a whole. The term then evolved into a way of categorizing statist economies. Now you are anti-statist, and vehemently support free markets, which are not necessarily capitalistic by nature, but merely emergent, and from there it simply becomes an economic experiment.
CivitasUltraAporia 2 months ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@mikeshanklin Let me add that I am anti-statist as well and believe in emergent free markets as they are a natural phenomena of human interaction.

And the reason true capitalism has been reformed is because true capitalism is so rapacious and destructive and exploitative and prone to corruption that no sane society will tolerate it for too long.
cheugon 6 days ago
@Kalostaphor So why don't you quit and find another job that pays you more? If we lived in a capitalism, a job like that would exist because capitalisms give you choice. If there are no other jobs like that, then it's the fault of the Keynesian-tilted cronyism we live in currently in which the government secures cooshy oligarch positions for those that you refer to as "the big and wealthy."
apell711 3 months ago
@Kalostaphor
You've got the wrong guy.

Taxes are the price we pay for civilization
LBRTRN89 4 months ago
@LBRTRN89 You can't imagine how people could be civilized without stealing from each other? Isn't that a contradiction? Wouldn't the pledge not to steal from each other be foundational to a civilized society? It sounds like you're equating crime with civilization and the lack of crime with the uncivilized - which is backward, isn't it?
MillionthUsername 4 months ago
@MillionthUsername The foundation of a civilized society is the fundamental understanding that we as a species benefit from a collective experience. Also your assertion that taxes are stealing is founded on an understanding of right to possession. What gives you the authority to say that you have ownership of a resource. Society's willingness to accept this notion is what provides validity. This same authority applies to taxes society accepts them.
LBRTRN89 4 months ago
@LBRTRN89 "This same authority applies to taxes society accepts them."
So your definition of justice is whatever "society" accepts? If I live in a society of cannibals, then it is right to eat people? If I live in a society where might makes right, then it's ok to steal from others? You seem to pitching absolute majoritarianism here. How did you arrive at the principle that truth, morality, justice were to be determined by numbers? Is that rational?
MillionthUsername 4 months ago
@MillionthUsername I can ask you the same question what makes cannibalism immoral? Is eating a human any different that eating an Ape does our higher level of intelligence give us inherent rights other species don't possess? What gives you the authority to say any society is immoral? If morality is not determined by society then what determines it? The only legitimate argument I've heard is maybe natural selection is responsible for morality?

We as as society need to contribute some money to the government as they provide for roads and some areas provide other tansporation, police and fire fighters. But they do have a military that is not needed to be so huge. Where's the rage for greed the fuels such violence. Taxes once were collected via tarrifs, but the corporate own state had those removed and their labor taxed on income. Nice job for them. I don't mind some taxes though, as long as they're used well. Today they are not.

Downfurlife 5 months ago
It is weird...... If you read the comments we are all almost discussing Ron Paul. Most here not supporting him; a few of us are. Peace will not change corrupt, deeply rooted violent government - policy will. There are politicians (countable on two hands) who support 80-90% of the things "we" 'all' want here. Who fight the status quo no matter who the president. It is best to align ourselves with friends rather than seek petty reasons to build walls of separation.
Downfurlife 5 months ago

@croakingembryo Ron Paul IS a statist. He believes in governments which are funded through theft (taxation). Ron Paul would have to fund this with taxation theft which is anti-free market. Ron Paul threatens to use violence on peaceful people. I am against statism slavery 100%.... I believe no one has the right to use violence on peaceful people, unlike Ron Paul...
mikeshanklin 5 months ago 24
@mikeshanklin Ron Paul wants to get rid of the income tax, stop the war on drugs (in fact he wants to legalize all drugs and prostitution), he wants to end the wars and bring the troops home, get rid of almost all the government departments and shrink government down to a minimum. And btw Ron Paul does not believe in "the right"??? to to use violence on peaceful people.
croakingembryo 5 months ago
@croakingembryo You know I like Ron Paul's ideas, but he still does like using violence on peaceful people. He isn't against the idea of taxation, he just wants a smaller amount of it. He has lived of theft for years now.
A MINIMUM of coercive violence is still COERCIVE VIOLENCE.
A MINIMUM of taxation is still THEFT, as the money is taken at the point of a gun against my will.
I really don't care if a great guy like Ron Paul is the one holding the gun or only wants to steal a little bit..
johnycannuk 5 months ago 10
@mikeshanklin Ron Paul believes in abolishing the federal government, federal reserve and IRS. He has voted against every presidents war since 1983. He is anti death penalty and anti-choice(pro-life). He does not believe in intervention or policing the world. You really to do a little re-educating yourself. He stands for everything this video has mentioned and you have mentioned.

@mikeshanklin UM, actually Ron Paul has always said he wants taxes to be ZERO. He's said many times he wants people to be able to keep 100% of their money.

If elected, he will do all in his power to at least regress the current tyrannical hold and give "extremists" like us a public voice.
bardwanderer2 5 months ago
@mikeshanklin sorry croakingembryo but where are you getting all of these views from?....Ron Paul wants to Legalize marijuana....in a response to being asked why Ron Paul doesn't support the illegalization of marijuana, ron paul responded "why should it be illegalized in the first place...".....
Ron Paul believes in Taxation???? are you shitting me?....DO Your Homework dude....Ron Paul is the Only candidate that wants to abolish the federal income tax.......Speak Truth brother, dont lie!
asalem86 5 months ago
@mikeshanklin Taxation is theft? Really? So you don't believe the government should have funding which means you're an anarchist.

@EPICsliceOFcake Bingo. I love it when people call me & my friends anarchists. Do it, just one time for me. :)
rockstarofredondo 5 months ago
@mikeshanklin You need to get a grip. Look at yourself and ask yourself what are you doing to help anything? Nothing is going to change unless you do something about it, and not voting is not doing something about it. Believe me, no one cares if you don't vote, the real statists don't care if someone like you votes because you wouldn't be voting for them. Taxes paid voluntarily in return for Government services is an alternative that requires votes.
PickensCountyLP 5 months ago
@PickensCountyLP Lol, voluntary taxation... Nice joke! If it's voluntary, then it's no longer a tax... just a donation/purchase in a free market. Another thing, I don't vote because I want to end the system (that requires education anyways, not blindly pushing more people into voting in a system that could careless and won't listen).... I don't vote because I am ethical... I do not support the use of government violence on peaceful people. If voting changed anything, it would be illegal.
mikeshanklin 5 months ago
@mikeshanklin so how would governments be fueled without taxation (taxation that is used to repair our roads and pay for our schools)?
thychaos 5 months ago
@thychaos I don't want any government roads, I want free market roads and choice in roads. I am against statism monopolizing the road system. There are numerous ways people could fund roads, through fees, tolls, digital subscriptions with window sensors. Walter Block gives a great speech about just that.... and how it would save lives compared to today's violent government monopoly.

thychaos 5 months ago
@mikeshanklin Ron Paul has chosen to enter politics in order to educate and attempt reform. This obviously involves some compromise. So your criticism is valid, but only to a point. RP has been a libertarian for decades and is quite familiar with anarchism. You must understand that people have differing views of how to achieve a free (or freer) society. Since I'm sure RP would allow for unlimited peaceful secession as an orderly devolution of power, I would not call him "statist."
MillionthUsername 4 months ago 11
@MillionthUsername He still uses the State as a mechanism. That's statism. But I agree with you on the rest.
getsetrecords 3 months ago
@getsetrecords What would you think if RP ran for TX governor and then implemented 9th and 10th amendment type reforms which nullified some of the federal power grabs? Is that progress? Anarchism can easily be conceived as an orderly devolution of power, and so the smaller political entities like states, counties, towns could, by pulling away from centralized power, realize many of the goals of freedom lovers. It's hard to ignore existing structures, especially when there is no alternative.
MillionthUsername 3 months ago
@mikeshanklin Hear, hear! I've heard this from almost no one, but I completely agree!
josta59 4 months ago
@mikeshanklin - The thing is a stateless - a truly stateless - society is nearly impossible. There is a bit of a no true scotsman fallacy here. An emergent state is still a state. Electing a leader with exclusive privileges over a group (like a chief) is by definition, a state. Even voluntary delegation of responsibilities creates a state. You're stacking the deck in your own favor, because the creation and concession of your every point still makes your society one with a state.

People say that if you don't vote then you can't complain. Yet those who vote are participating in and consenting to a system of government imposed violence.
The only way to retain your right to complain is to remain separate from the system by withdrawing your consent to govern and be governed with violence.

End the state!
strapt313 5 months ago
Earth has five levels of spiritual consciousness. This is the basic reason that the planet has so much disharmony. All five levels are quite normal and every world goes through development stages. Violence is not necessarily a part of any stage but in Earth's case, the spread of consciousness is just too wide to allow us to live in peace. Earth will soon become a two level planet and harmony will be much greater. About 10% of humans are developed enough to reincarnate to the two level Earth.

Who will I be voting for in 2012?
Only Ron Paul...but if he doesn't win in the Primaries, I won't vote in the general election, as I don't vote for the lesser of two evils...I only vote in self defense, or not at all. I'll laugh at RepubliBloods and DemoCrips like I always do, and continue to explain to the newly dissolutioned why I'm a proud anarchist. You voluntaryists are cool by me too, as you won't for me into a social contract even if you want one (or some form of voluntary government).
ProIndividual 5 months ago
If Ron Paul wants to Abolish the IRS and the Income Tax, then how is he "Pointing Guns at Peaceful People"? come on, If Ron Paul is elected he can begin withdrawing troops from overseas immediately! Vote for a man and an Idea who's time has come! Vote for Peace and Liberty, Ron Paul 2012!
Leftovervictim1991 5 months ago
@Leftovervictim1991 As an anarchist I sympathize with those who refuse to vote...but I see Ron as the only candidate in YEARS (maybe my lifetime) that I think is basically a voluntaryist in statist disguise. I could be wrong, but we all have to sleep at night with ourselves, and I couldn't sleep at night NOT voting for Ron...but I can't blame others who feel they couldn't sleep at night if they DID vote for Ron. For us, it's the path of least coercion...and the prefered path is ALWAYS none.
ProIndividual 5 months ago
@Leftovervictim1991 Plus, I'm hoping to get called for jury duty for voting, so I can hang a jury on my nullification rights if it's a victimless crime! LOL.
ProIndividual 5 months ago
@Leftovervictim1991 Ron Paul does not want to abolish taxes and therefore is still advocating the provision of goods and services at the barrel of a gun. You can stop calling theft "income tax". It is still theft. Still using the threat of violence to rob a person of their property. He even suggested a flat 10% "tax" (bribe) to opt out of all governmental services. No thank you.

PluralOfEverything 5 months ago
I find this argument redundant, as the Constitution states in article 2 section 2 that the President is elected by electors. Therefore, voting or not voting is irrevelant. You and your vote are not even part of the discussion. I find it interesting that people are debating over electing presidents when they haven't ever done so and never will when it comes to a Presidential election. If you want to change the President, focus on state legislators and ask them whom they will appoint electorally.
knutsenglenn 5 months ago
No one!
NobiscumDeus1 5 months ago
Here's the Ron Paul argument in a nutshell: "Oh, I really don't like those Mafia guys breaking kneecaps and extorting money from people. I know, I'll join them, break a few kneecaps and try to become the head Mafia Don. Yeah, that's how I'll solve that problem."
Nonsense!
furyofbongos 5 months ago
@mikeshanklin - Why didn't you point out that Ron Paul will also point guns at peaceful people?
furyofbongos 5 months ago
How does Gary Johnson and Wayne Allen Root believe in pointing guns? They would dismantle the Federal government drastically. We need to support libertarians and message of peace, instead of confusing people.
ggadguy 5 months ago
@ggadguy - Government can't exist without taxation and taxation is simply money taken from others by threat of violence (guns will eventually be presented, if you stand your ground). Therefore, no matter who is in the seat of the presidency, the government will still be pointing guns at peaceful people. Even if Ron Paul gets in there.
furyofbongos 5 months ago
@furyofbongos Couldn't Dr. Paul give us more freedoms back? He'd drastically cut a lot of spending immediately. I'd rather live in a country that had 90% freedom than 50% freedom.
To have total anarchy will not happen, unless there is a Somalia situation where they fell under Communism and their government topples, they go into hyperinflation and have civil war. I hope we can get to the smallest government possible, but no government is highly unlikely. But it is good to show "the gun".
ggadguy 5 months ago
@ggadguy - Thanks for your polite reply (a bit of a rarity on YT). My direct answer would be yes, less cancer is better than more cancer. I would encourage you to watch some of the vids of Walter Block: /watch?v=CPCk69X9AF8 and the "stefbot" channel: /watch?v=5-j9LBCmM3c (on this video, let it run, he makes his case on how RP won't be able to act effectively on his policies). Also, FreeDomainRadio daught com has free audio books and pdf books on the feasibility of a stateless society.
furyofbongos 5 months ago
@furyofbongos I've actually seen both of those videos. (I listen to a lot of videos while at work) And I subscribe to Stefen's channel and have been for years. All of the anarchists make great arguments, and I tend to agree with your arguments, although I am not certain the public is ready for it. I think we just need to move in that general direction, however we can. While Ron Paul will most likely not win, he is at least promoting the ideas of liberty, although not as hard as I'd like.
