I think the Archbishop was being very open. What does this look like to GLBT people? Is the Anglican Communion worth asking GLBT people to sacrifice having a full voice? I value being Anglican (I'm from Canada), but I value being a Christian who follows where I believe the Spirit leads more.

Good heavens! I am shocked! So, in his opinion, my marriage (a happy one) should be broken up to preserve the church. I cannot believe that such stupidity (almost a demoniac stupidity) can come from someone who claims to have experienced the love of God.

I have been an Episcopalian for only a little over two months. Nevertheless, I have watched this struggle within TEC and the Anglican Communion for about two years now. I have always felt very strongly about the importance of remaining a truly independent church in sync with the needs of the people of OUR culture and WE both want and need ALL of the baptized to have the same opportunities, be shown the same respect and treated with the same dignity. We are not the Southern Cone. We are TEC.
