I'm working hard to listen to your greeting from your Dad. I'm hearing nothing of what you claim is your weird way of greeting each other. I've only worked on the first few words, and what I'm hearing is "And the spirit of that person" Now, I obviously don't know where you guys are from, but by the way I'm hearing "that", I'd bet he talked in a Chicago-Milwaukee-type voice. I'm hearing "that" as a Chicagoite would say it, sorta "theeeatttttt"..if you know what I'm trying to describe? Am I right?
@evpcuriosity Yes, they do, but that would be taking advantage of spirits and their unknown forces of being. It's just disrespectful. Besides, if you were to do it anyway, they'd know you were taking advantage of them. They'd tell you the wrong numbers, or ignore you.

I want to tell you that I moved into my own place 6 months ago. Every night like clockwork, five minutes after I am in bed I hear footsteps. I hear footsteps going up and down my stairs....I sometimes even hear knocking. I live on the third floor and the only thing that seperates my room from the hallway is a wall.
My step brother who was 3 died in an accident and when i got home i wept and wept but then i heard "Dont cry bubby, Im ok" and then i just... lightened up...
The night my mum died,back in'83,I was in a crowded,noisy club,and at exactly the time she passed,I felt something brush my face,and all the noise receded,and my mum's voice whispered in my ear,"bye,son".I didn't know,until I returned home that she had died at 10.15 that night,just as I 'experienced' her passing! The following year,when my father died,I was over 100 miles away,and at 1.15 a.m. the time he passed,I heard,close to my ear,a faint sigh,almost contented!

Something in the pub i lived in went skipping behind me while I was in the kitchen (built in the 1800s) I bollocked my friend for not saying hello as she went by, but she was smoking before she came into work and had not come into the building.
i thnk it is rubbish that spirits hang around cemetaries if they are going to go aywhere thern they are going to go to the place they loved the most thats where i would go if i was dead a grave yard would be boring

I am not one for evps, but i am something of a paranormalist. to tell of one tale, i was playing some video game, i can't remember, and i heard who i thought was my brother and sat on my bed(the springs coiled). I turned around and i said "hot shot right?".What i had seen was a thin older balding man, about 75 years, in a suit and bowtie, both black, and there is nothing black on that side of the room. did a double take,and he was gone.The last owner was a old man who had died.
We don't contact the dead through answering machines. They contact us through electronic instruments. Answering machines, telephones, televisions, radios and recorders.
It sounds electronic because EVP usually comes in a rhythm almost like a metronome or clock was ticking. I don't know the answer as to why EVPs come in rhythm.
Really the 1 that sorta creeped into my brain & messed w/ it was the 1 at 6:50 & i'm still puzzled about it. As far as i can figure out what i think it says is "Please....... Get us out of here... Were alone!!!" I was almost instently freaked out at that point & i dont get scared easy cuz i deal w/ alot of stuff going on at my house.

That was what made me believe....

I recently bought a very nice digital recorder and caught a creepy evp in my bedroom. It's a Class B evp so I can't make out what is being said. I can only tell that it's a 2 syllable word starting with the letter B.The voice itself is deep and evil sounding. I have also recorded rustling noises when nobody was in the room and several times it sounded as though the recorder was being moved around. This freaked me out because NOBODY was in the room at the time!

Yes, digital and analog. If you use analog, I would hope you use High Bias tapes. If you use digital, the newer recorders have less internal interference than the older models.

Graves are merely doorways or portals that spirits use to travel between planes. It is simply familiar territory like a street sign.
