@marekk92 this version was actually released and reached number 5 in the uk charts :) I think it's important for music to be reinvented by other artist to truly realise a songs potential with other voices styles genres etc. Personally I can't stand this version and LOVE the Stage version sung by the character 'Killer Queen' but I appreciate it's artistic intentions. After all that way people with different musical tastes can enjoy an amazing song the way they like to hear it sung.
I actually like this version. I think what most people need to realize, is that Freddie Mercury experimented with so many different types of music, and I think that had he lived longer, he definitely would've tried hip hop, rap, and maybe even some electronic dance music, who knows? After all, he was a musical prostitute. ;)

@SuperMorphex Yes, we know it and we hear it all the time. Like you said, every knows it so you know then what is in song. Sometimes irritating and sometimes I really don't wanna heard it coz is pointless, like in this song. And retard is one-meaning word so I'm sorry this don't mean someone is retard if wanna enjoy in song without swears
I guess if you can't get into rap at all it would annoy the heck of you, but I like both versions, this one a little more because the song always had a funk to begin with, so the rap seems to go with it..
@64CRUNCH64 It's obviously Queen - Another One Bites the Dust. It's a tribute to Freddie Mercury (one of the best singers ever), the vocalist in Queen and the stolen mannequin in this video. You hear him doing background vocals as well as singing on the chorus. I'd rather call this a remix or even a cover instead of sample. It was even featured on a best of Queen album.
everything's cool except why mess with the vocals when you have a distinctive voice like freddie's? it's now muffled, generic/throwaway as if to stop it from competing w/ the rap. you wouldn't do it to aretha would ya?

Yeah thanks Alex ! Enjoy this re-Mix Yáll Peace Out Freddie But Jean's M and Funkean the Dancing Machine 's Got Spunk! Not Just Funk! Hey Beside's that He Running for President! I hate it when these hip hop artists but new beats to old songs and rap in a rhythm that doesn't even seem to match the beat like they just recorded the rap then added whatever music they had lying around. I get this was most likely suppose to be a tribute to Queen but if your going to pay tribute by using one of their tracks then sing that song with a hip hop twist to how its sung not do a rap then throw the song your paying tribute to in the background like this.
With all due respect for Queen (which I have more than you would believe) This song is made to be remix, such a nice beat, and thats a compliment to Queen
Nah and this is from a HUGE fan, this is actually a good song.
And for him to keep Freddie's vocals in the song and even make him the point of the music video, I think is a cool thing. And it's obvious he respects Freddie and the whole band of Queen.
If it's anyone I'd be okay with making a rap song out of AOBTD is's Wyclef.
"Freddie Mercury where you at?" Wyclef is cool and I don't even like this genre!
Hip Hop IS a real form of music, to all you loudmouths who say it isn't. But people who know what REAL music is are smart enough to know how to combine different genres. And since you're running your mouths so much, exactly how many contributions have you made to music, whether it's rock or otherwise? I swear, some people just really need to shut the hell up.
@Gonken88 In fairness, you have to have the ability to write songs! Ok, there not singing, but many rappers write and produce their own material! This is talent in itself!
Dont get me wrong, im not a big fan of rap or hip hop, im a classic rock fan all the way, but at least i respect them as legitimate genres! Besides, who are you to say that rappers arent legitimate musicians!
@gmarvelous7 The melody in the background is music, the "style" is NOT! It is not music to talk (yes, that's what it is) and have a beat behind it, going over and over again. Rappers aren't even called singers ffs.
And aside from that, most of the times it's pointless, recordlabel-written lyrics, bragging about being a stupid gangbanger, and wearing clothes without a fucking ounce of class. It's no wonder they sample so damn much in this genre, it's much simpler than putting some effort.
@bosnia91 One thing I've learned, bosnia, is to hear different aspects of things before I form an opinion. The origins of rap and hip-hop ARE talking behind a beat....and isn't that a style all it's own? Now while I agree that there is a lot of BS rap music out there, true hip-hop is not like that. Problem is, is that it doesn't get the airplay, recognition, or respect that it deserves because the people in charge WANT the public to think that all hip-hop is about what you described. It's NOT.
@gmarvelous7 that's what i mean, talking is not music. And i know where the roots of hiphop are, even then it was all bout pointless dissing without an apparent reason. This is the only genre where people actually think they are some kind of warriors by dissing eachother and having "beefs", and stupid people talk about these "beefs" like it's some kind of boxing match. And ofc there are good rappers like Immortal technique for example, but it's still not music in it's real sense.
@bosnia91 I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I still say hip-hop is a different kind of music, while you have your opinion. Your argument talks about the content of much, but not all, hip-hop. And just because you don't like the content doesn't mean it's not real music. Hip-hop is a close relative of poetry &spoken word, & artists such as A Tribe Called Quest,KRS-1, along with songs such as Grandmaster Flash&The Furious Five's The Message prove that hip-hop is socially conscious&educational
@gmarvelous7 Based on your view, everything is music as long as there is a beat tune behind it? I don't get how it can be a different kind of music when they just talk to a beat? Best way to decide is to simply remove the melody, and then there's nothing left in this case.
@bosnia91 I did not say that in any of my posts. I was specifically referring to hip-hop. I'm really done with the matter, bosnia, but I will end with this: your view that it's not real music is only your OPINION. And I'm sure the numerous writers/producers/artists (and others) of hip-hop and its numerous fans will agree with me when I say HIP-HOP IS REAL MUSIC. And I'm done.
@gmarvelous7 it's not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of facts. First we need to lay down the premise for music, and that would be singing, right? Do rappers sing? It doesn't need to be more complicated than this.
Actually rap/hip-hop isn't about talking to a beat, but the 'talk' has a rythm. The flow is what makes it a form of singing. Those artist whos singing sounds more like talking, in your opinion that isn't music at all? In my opinion the most fitting description, (and widely kept the definition of music) is the flow according to the music itself. If you count the syllibles and refer them to the beat itself u can notice a pattern.
Rap/hip-hop is a combination of poetry and what you'd describe singing. It's actually singing without following the melodys frequency changes. If that's something you don't call music, then what do you call music? Is only a beat music? Why so, isn't singing what u described of being music? And no, I'm not a huge rap fan, but still I recognize the talent doing good rap requires. Verbally good that is.
@ikknaR well i mean if you listen to me talk casually, and then if i talk and actually rhyme about something, then just put a beat behind it and here we go...
Singing for me is really something that can stand on it's own feet, like Eric Claptons "Tears in Heaven", a prime example. It's not that they don't follow the frequency change (most of the times it never even changes!), but the fact that they talk through it.
Still, u do "lay out the facts" which are the facts in your opinion and from your POV. Everyone is allowed to have their own ones, it's just easier to judge something accurately by widely acknowledged terms. You can call spray painting just vandalism, but it is so much more than that. Most of the spray paintings I have seen, consisting of something else than a childish "fuck the world" on a wall, are not a bit short from an art masterpiece.
@ikknaR well it's not the same thing, because everything can basically be considered art. However everything can not be considered music. It doesn't really matter how you twist it, talking can not be musical.
That is your opinion. :) How do you categorize what is running then? Going a certain speed? Going at the maximum speed one can? Is everything below that jogging then? When does it change from jogging to running? You are so fixated on the fact that rapping isn't singing in it's "original" form, that you deny of rap being a form of singing at all.
@ikknaR well i'm not really sure, but i would consider Johnny Cash's songs singing. It's the fact that he goes up and down on the vocals or whatever it's called that takes the cake. If you remove the rhymes in a hiphop song it would become even more clear what it is about, then it would be absolutely nothing left.
I've never said that only singing is music I even pointed out that the beat in Hiphop is musical, just like a classic piece or a jazz one.
Exactly, IF you'd take the rhymes out. As I said earlier, rapping is a form of singing which is categorized by moulding rhymes to fit music. It is an artform as worthy as any other, tho it is one of the art forms most infested by leeches who don't really contribute except by re-producing someone elses work to make profit with it.
@ikknaR Well most other genres can work without the melody, and that is what real music is to me. Maybe rapping does fall under the categorisation of music, but i'll still think it's inferior.
@bosnia91 It isn't original singing at all, but a form of singing yes. Say what you say and have your opinion - as I've said before - but the general consensus amongst people and the professionals makes rap a form of singing. Tho, really music isn't categorized by singing, but by the melody that carries it. How could you ever call classical music music if only singing is music. :P But anyhow, not the point. :)
@bosnia91 And hip-hop is not the only form of music where one artist has something to say about another artist, whether its positive or negative. It just gets more attention that way than other genres. Go to AskMen.com and look up trading rock insults.
@bosnia91 Just so there's no confusion, when I say style, I mean style of music overall. The collaboration of the music and the lyrics, not just the music, instrument-wise.
@AshtarKommando I see you want to come at me acting like a smart-ass. Well in that case, you can also keep your smart-ass comments to yourself....genius. Step to me with respect, we can debate respectfully. Step to me like an ass, and get treated as such.
@AshtarKommando AshtarKommando, I don't like arguing. It's just the way you came at me. I'm guessing that you don't like hip-hop/rap. That's fine. When I say it's real music, I mean it deserves the same accolades as other forms of music. And there are so many forms of music. I was defending a form I like in this instance.
this is more of a tribute than anything. i'm a huge Queen fan and I was impressed by the overall cleverness of the video and Wyclef's own lyrics added to this classic song. pretty damn cool
Of Course it doesn't have to sound as good as the orginal, but that's not what this is about. This version may have introduced other people to Queen which I am perfectly fine with.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
tht was the time I coudn´t believe that Queen coud make such a kind of shit music.. And a friend of mine told me as we talked about Queen "since another one bites the dust its not the Music of Queen! Is plastic shit!!

Still, u do "lay out the facts" which are the facts in your opinion and from your POV. Everyone is allowed to have their own ones, it's just easier to judge something accurately by widely acknowledged terms. You can call spray painting just vandalism, but it is so much more than that. Most of the spray paintings I have seen, consisting of something else than a childish "fuck the world" on a wall, are not a bit short from an art masterpiece.
ikknaR 1 year ago
@ikknaR well it's not the same thing, because everything can basically be considered art. However everything can not be considered music. It doesn't really matter how you twist it, talking can not be musical.
bosnia91 1 year ago
@bosnia91
That is your opinion. :) How do you categorize what is running then? Going a certain speed? Going at the maximum speed one can? Is everything below that jogging then? When does it change from jogging to running? You are so fixated on the fact that rapping isn't singing in it's "original" form, that you deny of rap being a form of singing at all.
ikknaR 1 year ago
@ikknaR well i'm not really sure, but i would consider Johnny Cash's songs singing. It's the fact that he goes up and down on the vocals or whatever it's called that takes the cake. If you remove the rhymes in a hiphop song it would become even more clear what it is about, then it would be absolutely nothing left.
I've never said that only singing is music I even pointed out that the beat in Hiphop is musical, just like a classic piece or a jazz one.
bosnia91 1 year ago
@bosnia91
Exactly, IF you'd take the rhymes out. As I said earlier, rapping is a form of singing which is categorized by moulding rhymes to fit music. It is an artform as worthy as any other, tho it is one of the art forms most infested by leeches who don't really contribute except by re-producing someone elses work to make profit with it.
ikknaR 1 year ago

Go to AskMen.com and look up trading rock insults.
gmarvelous7 1 year ago
@bosnia91 Just so there's no confusion, when I say style, I mean style of music overall. The collaboration of the music and the lyrics, not just the music, instrument-wise.

@AshtarKommando I see you want to come at me acting like a smart-ass. Well in that case, you can also keep your smart-ass comments to yourself....genius. Step to me with respect, we can debate respectfully. Step to me like an ass, and get treated as such.
gmarvelous7 11 months ago
@AshtarKommando AshtarKommando, I don't like arguing. It's just the way you came at me. I'm guessing that you don't like hip-hop/rap. That's fine. When I say it's real music, I mean it deserves the same accolades as other forms of music. And there are so many forms of music. I was defending a form I like in this instance.

this is more of a tribute than anything. i'm a huge Queen fan and I was impressed by the overall cleverness of the video and Wyclef's own lyrics added to this classic song. pretty damn cool

it's ok, quite good use of the song. Still prefer the original but it's better than I though it was.

Of Course it doesn't have to sound as good as the orginal, but that's not what this is about. This version may have introduced other people to Queen which I am perfectly fine with.
