  • there ska-awesome!!! =®

  • theyre BEAUTIFUL live!

  • there ska-awesome!

  • the crowd isnt bad. sure they arent skanking, but they might be and the camera cant see it. And the whole crowd is singing along

  • awesome live performance but idk about the crowd tho!

  • where the heck is the skanking pit!??! LAME CROWD!

  • but still a good video even though the crowd is stinky

  • no rap is, winners skank

  • Jesus fucking christ, what a bored audience.

They're probably coming to Brazil in september, and damn it, it's going to be a hell lot better than all these people just standing watching the show...

  • i still cant stop watching this vid! love it! feels like im there! in the crowd...haven't seen them in over a year, but they're coming for warp!<333

  • stoked to see em' at warped this year

    they are so rad

  • I should probly stop playing this video...makes me regret not seeing them when they were in San Fran early this year! (Y-Y) I know this hole song by heart. Streetlight rock!

  • You guys should go to a Ska, punk or reggae concert in germany... thats real fun.. i was in america, britain, france and poland on several concerts....america sucked the most!

  • da hast du recht ^^

  • there SKA-some

  • lol nice pun

  • That was punny.

  • im gonna smack someone

  • That guy singing looks just like my history teacher.

  • The chorus at 3:40 always leaves me feeling fuzzy inside....

  • i will draw your bath and load your gun but i hope so bad that you bath and hunt...........streetlight for life

  • damn theyre pretty awesome live!

  • the guy at bottom left creams himself at 1:42

this song is great btw, one of the best from EGN

  • I agree! if ever they have a gig in Belgium, the difference woul be clear. Everybody knows the lyrics, but they'd show more vibes. In this vid, the crowd seems dead except for the 'known' parts.

  • kaatje, they do a lot of gigs in Belgium as far as I know this year.

  • When, where? Wanneer, waar? Quand, où? :-)

  • 30-03 Lessen

    01-04 Gent

    03-04 Genk

    :)

  • Well when they came to Toronto the whole crowd sang every word. Crazyness. I think they should simmer down in the mosh pits. Like it was past a mosh pit, more of a graveyard. I think dancing is appropriate not moshing.

  • Skanking.

  • Well i was skanking but the skanking turned into something more violent.

  • Damn that sucks. I hat that happen in January, people are idiots.

  • Thats what happens when you bring punks to ska shows.

  • That's pretty much what happened.

  • They encouraged it at the concert I saw them at. They played this song, Kalnoky sang the first line of the song, and then they let the crowd sing the rest of the intro.

  • i love this band

  • Fuck yeah.

  • lol awesome crowd. they're really going for it

  • cant wait for the 25th of january, got my tickets

  • yeah at the 9:30 club with reel big fish. i'll be there too

  • this will be my second time seeing them. first time i had no idea who they were. This time theyre my favorite band of all time. Funny how that works

  • they coming to cleveland baby on the 14th.

i will not miss that show

  • wooohoo thats today

  • i was there

  • All I have to say is I love Streetlight Manifesto..

Good Lord Come back to Houston please!

  • the dude with the long hair like right infront of the camera looks like whats his face from lost from behind

  • whats he say at 0:22?

  • i think shutup

  • I HATE Streetlight Manifesto for being in Europe Come to New York Please

  • change "new york" for "brasil" only

  • i'm going to see em in germany :-D

  • me too. aachen or köln. so nice :>

  • i asked my friend why she didnt like ska and she said it was too happy. i not unstand.

  • yeah, ska has a "happy upbeat tone" stereotype, which can be pretty true (like Reel Big Fish is one of the happiest sounding bands ever) but not all of it is. Streetlight makes some of the most serious music out there.

  • where's the dancing?

  • That crowd is DEAD. I was at the Streetlight/Bosstones show in Buffalo a few weeks ago and the crowd moshed to EVERY song that night, even the ones that didn't really lend themselves well to moshing.

  • i wish my local show was like this i tried multiple times to go in anf skank but these stupid scenester kids just thought is was some damn emo band and just pushed every one around

and they tried to skank and was just horid

    scenesters FTL

  • Just became a fan and can't find any shows near me. *sigh* But I love this song, it is what got me liking Streetlight Manifesto. This song (haha) makes me happy. And my name is Annie! Annie says she loves Streetlight Manifesto!

  • my name is jon ;/

but jon says he FUCKING LOVES STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO!!!!!!!!

  • Why'd he say shit at the beginning?

  • it sounds like "enchanting" but can't say for sure

  • Oh yeah, listening to it again, that sounds right. Thanks!

  • Just saw them in LA a couple nights ago. Too bad they didn't play this song but oh well--the show was so damn good all the same. One of the best I've ever seen (not surprising considering they're easily one of my favorite bands :)). The talent is just insane and the songs pump you up so much. Good shit

  • the key right??? dude that show was dope, i never seen em live before, but shit man, they'r so great live man...my fav concert, cuz of my fav band as well =]

  • They played this in Grand Rapids last night and I just about cried I was so damn happy.

  • im going in two days im so pumped

  • ska genius

  • hey ross noble in the crowd much?

  • Fuckin' hell do I love me some Streetlight.

  • It is impossible to hate ska.

    Streetlight is the best.

  • Actually it's not impossible to hate ska, I had a friend who couldn't stand most ska. He liked a Bosstones song among others but only a couple of songs here and there.

  • fucken love them best song ever

  • this makes me want to see them again SOOO BADLY

  • ok? i think its funny.

  • its called skanking kasso8991 which is the most formal dance for ska music lawlz.

  • ahahah. The guy on the bottom left is cracking me up. Jumping all over the place and everything.

  • "it's not your time"....wow! beautiful and sad song.....

the first time that i heard this song I almost cryed.....

    it's beauty too!

  • I LOVE STREETLIGHT! IM EVEN WATCHING THEM WELL I POOP! <3 iPhone <3

  • now thats dedacation right there ! ! ! remeber to flush

  • it's cool how everybody in the crowd is singing through the whole thing.

  • have you ever been to a show because thats pretty much every show, and i love it too.

  • STREETLIGHT WHOOT!!! a great band from jersey.

  • love this song

  • I LOVE SKA

  • i think a lot of streetlight sounds different from other ska music, especially this song.

  • Stop labeling music and narrowing it down to categories each band is different so they SHOULD play different music so all ska music SHOULDN'T sound the same.

  • why don't you guys stop trying to label and classify bands and just listen to the music fags

  • ska lesson, everyone listen up, you got 3 diffrent types of ska you got original ska like skatalites then you got your second wave witch is sublime type ska then your 3rd wave witch is streetlight manifesto but you cant really catogorize them in that manor cause lots of "good" bands like to incorporate diffrent genres to make a unique sound and not soud like the same old shit, trust a musician on this one

  • Fourth Wave = Dalys Gone Wrong

  • i just played a show with them. They are barely ska. its more like hardcore with ska influence. good guys though =]

  • flaming tsunamis have that sound too.

thats awesome, whats the name of the band you play in?

  • Flooding London

    LI ska all day

  • im friends with the sax player in TFT

  • fuck yeah LI ska all fucking day baby but im not really big on flooding london i like purple tree destiny in a frying pan and daly's is really good but yeah they are more of a hardcore band

  • best video ever

  • are you stupid?

  • No, look it up. I'll try to find the URL of the interview, but just listen to them. They definetly AREN'T ska. "Giving Up, Giving In". That's not ska, that's punk. "Blonde Lead the Blind" is dixieland, just like "Walking Away" is sort of swing. I could go on like this, but I don't think that ONE of their songs is actually ska. Mostly, it's very varied music styles. So don't call me stupid, stupid. I know what I'm talking about.

  • really?

    i thought they were

obviously sokme of their songs have a different sound

but isn't their gnereal sound...ska? ska revival? what is it then?

A moment of silence is ska isn't it? they obviuosly have a swing ish sound but that's because they focus a buttload on the trump sax and trombone

    ...so, what are they?

how would you categorize the song "would you be impressed?"

i really am confused man, i have no idea what they are now haha

  • "Would you be impressed" is a waltz. I'm not saying they have NO ska influence, but they have a LOT of different sounds, and it would be unfair to just call them ska-punk. They have, like I said, mariachi, swing, waltz, dixieland, etc.

  • oh so, they don't have a general sound?

    they're just...them? haha

yeah, i hear swing mariachi, but i don't get the waltz reference...

    and what's dixieland?

  • dixieland is swing with less swing.

  • Look, if you want a comparison, listen to "Pizza Day" by the Aquabats. THAT is third-wave. Running bass line, upstrokes during the horn riffs and vocals, etc.

Then, listen to Streetlight Manifesto. Different sound. DON'T post back going "BUT JACKSMACKY THER A DIFFERNET BADNS LOL!" Yes, I fucking KNOW that, but still, the STYLE, not just the sound, is different.

  • can not WAIT until they tour australia again. i'm hoping to go to all 4 melbourne shows. last time they played they only got a short set coz they were the opening band, the trombone player threw out his water bottles to me and a friend. still have it. but their headlining with these shows coming up!

  • this is by far their best song. someone tried to say that streetlight manifesto was the worst ska band ever. i hate people who don't know what they're talking about, they're by far in the top 5 best. if you don't like streetlight manifesto, than you don't like ska

  • this is not only my favorite song by streetlight, but my favorite song of all time.

  • OMG the horn players are so amazing. When they come in its just... incredible. I love Streetlight! Best band out there!

  • this crowd is dead

  • the crowd is just hopping up and down like bunnies at like 2:51...how embarassing

  • Word up to that album man.

    Streetlight Forever.

  • new album comes out october 28...tomas kalnok is my boy

  • there's no way in hell. my guess is sometime in december or january of 2009.

  • according to victory records they are just finishing up...they also have a new botar album coming...they might be released onn the same day

  • when has victory said anything right about streetlight? they didnt even know how many members were in the band.

  • streetlights best song by far

and my favorite song of all time

  • great video but theres no skanking!?!?

  • why would there be skanking? this streetlight not rbf. they have very few skanking songs and this sure as hell isnt one of them.

  • i would skank to it
