i dont know if people will agree or disagree with this but she sounds alot like kelly clarkson too me. Am I on crack or does anybody agree with me that she sounds a little like Kelly Clarkson?

I really think the producers decided to give the Alaina the axe early before she got too popular. They didn't want a Carrie Underwood clone. (Whitaker is a country singer from Oklahoma)

Alaina is currently the lead singer for the new independent Country-duo Della Rose, as they are hard at work in Nashville trying to get signed. This, however, was two years ago. I still remember Alaina and really liked her. She had an amazing voice, and could have possibly stayed in the game until the Top 3, but I guess America didn't get her. She had to of known she was going home. At 2:10-2:13 she snorted, because she was so overcome with emotion and hurt. My dad started laughing so hard. Sad.

Season 7 was probably the best season with the most original and least experienced artists. Season 8's contestants had way too much experience, so I wasn't too blown away. Season 9 seems to have returned to the naive styled contestants whom have very little to no background experience in music which is good. Its more original.

Dude, this girl IS HOT!! Although, I think she was voted off for the wrong reasons just because ppl compared her to Carrie Underwood?? She had a lot more potential and was far more mature and more veristle in her tone and range. yeah i think it was confusing the way she said "i can't sing". when she said it, i thought she meant what she really was saying: that she was too emotional and crying so she couldn't. it's interesting to see some people thought she was saying that meaning "i can't sing so that's why America voted me off"

In case you haven't heard, she's in a group now with her sister and Kady, called Whitaker Malloy, and they're working on a CD that's expected to be out this fall. And yeah, I liked both of them too. They definitely belonged in the Top 5.

Well in case you haven't heard, she's now the lead singer of a country trio called Chasing Dixie, which has opened for artists like Keith Anderson and Brooks & Dunn. Their first album is due sometime this year. It's gonna be a good one, I just know it.
