The Divine Essence, Power, whatever, is beyond us and in our quest to connect with IT we created Gods to bridge that gap. I believe they do exist in the Mind and in the Spirit. They are a collection of a cultures hopes, dreams, emotions, fears, etc. They are Sentient Thought forms that will exist as long as there are people.

It is a different word than Gen. 2 which is 'Yahweh'. This word is singular. Yahweh is the god of the Hebrews and the Christians. He is one of the Elohim (gods). Or at least so says the Bible, so says a book written by humans.
